I agree with you, the way beard man was acting in post fight video is a huge sign of mental illness. I am glad someone else pointed it out because I am usually the first. Usually the screeching at the top of the lungs and the pacing and hitting is a big one. He was obviously upset and aggravated by the whole thing.

Fact is, short guy is lucky he wasn't killed.

In the vd you can sorta see a hand pulling EBG off of cornrow guy.
I think HE saved a life and a whole other mess o' mess.
Ed to add It was the older white guy in a windbreaker and hat,coulda easily been retired military as well,that's kinda unofficial retiree putz about dress,usually with the name of the ship,or group,hat,etc..

To me, the younger guy started the fight, he did hit "epic beard man" and so well, you get what you pay for I suppose.

It occurred to me today that in the final statement of EBG while he was outside the bus and he says,"He f-----g hit me first It was self defense!!" that if he was a racist he would definitely have used the "N" word.In that moment of victory and alleged barely-under-the-surface racism or hidden agenda to kick some ass that day accomplishment,how could he not?Even under his breath,nothing.

I agree. I don't consider EBM a racist. The fact that he is not going to hunker down and be intimidated by a black man doesn't make him racist. Remember, it coulda been a Chinaman, doesn't matter.

Oh and one other thing, I think Moms has not been given the credit due her through this whole thing -- a shout out to Moms! .....who saw wrong and tried to right it, saw suffering and tried to heal it, saw war and tried to stop it.

Moms had the instinct to yell Lord Have Mercy! just before Tyrone's life was going to flash before his eyes. Moms comes from the old generation of black people, who were respectful, friendly, decent people.

You know the fact that the Michael character on the bus ignored Moms completely is a sad revelation. There was a time and it wasn't all that long ago, I'm not exactly ancient yet, when black people had a deep respect for their elders, moreso than the white race. If Moms had ordered him to leave EBM alone 15-20 years ago he would have stopped dead in his tracks and sat down. And that young black woman yelling all those obscenities in the presence of an older black woman/mother figure wouldn't have happened either.

This whole thing has taken on a life of its own. There are scams going on collecting money for EBM, t-shirt businesses springing up like weeds, you name it. And I can't get enough of it.

I tend to agree. While we never get to hear what was said before the video was turned on, the way EBM was talking made it sound to me like he really didnt get why the FHB (foolish home boy) was talking smack about the spit shine stuff. I believe his story that he was talking about getting his shoes spit shined, FHB walked past, heard the word "spit shine" and imagined it was a racist comment directed towards him or some other black person.

I think EBM did everything right. The only racism I saw on that bus was all the racist crap directed at EBM both by FHB and the others saying "beat his white A$$," and calling him "pinky." (Pinky? thats a new one to me, and kinda funny..lol) I for one am glad he both first walked away, (shows good intent to not start crap) and then secondly beat FHB down when trouble followed him.

Exactamundo. When EBM got up and walked away, he really in a way demonstrated what the majority of white people have been doing for a long long time, and that is just trying to get along, to make amends, ANYTHING to just move the hell on. But gangsta wannabe just wasn't having it.

BlupBlup does have a point. While he isn't racist, Epic Beard Man's story has changed with every video. Do a YouTube search of subsequent interviews with Epic Beard Man. First he says he needed his shoes shined for a funeral. In another he says he needed them shined to go buy weed. In one of those same follow up videos, he says that "Tyrone" flashed a knife and threatened him. I don't think Epic Beard Man has a firm grip on reality.

While I do have to admit I do think the fight itself is funny, I also think it has exposed something rather sad here on ATS and other parts of the internet. For some, "Tyrone" represents every negative stereotype of African-Americans, every wrong and ill. Epic Beard Man is transformed into their champion, standing up to the encroaching threat of Black culture and the rights they've supposedly taken from us.

In truth, the video is none of that. It is not the culture war writ small and fought on a bus. It is just two people in need of help; one with alcohol problems and the other with severe mental illness.

Like you, I jumped on the heap with the herd. Looking back objectively, I agree with your assessment of the sad state of our culture to find this humorous. (Self included) These people don't deserve ridicule but rather compassion and care.

Thanks for showing that video. I also cannot believe that is the same guy! He looks even younger too. I feel more sympathy for this guy and think he deserves respect for coming out and admitting he was in the wrong.

Michael appears more genuine and sincere in his comments after the event than EBM does. EBM is saying things that aren't true and seems more focussed on demonisng the other guy and boasting about what he did.

I think Michael should be applauded for his honesty and sincerity. He seems a completely different person when sober compared to when he is under the influence of alcohol.

What is pathetic is how many people continue to claim ambulamb man had the right to physically attack EBM after EBM tried to walk away from the fight, including ambulamb man himself, after sobering up.

It has nothing to do with black culture.

It has everything to do with people not wanting to feel they are subject to attack by some angry drunk individual because that person perceives they have been insulted.

On a larger perspective, it has everything to do with people getting tired of racism being used as an excuse for bad behavior.
