I have been slowly relizing that our histories timeline is not consistent.Starting with WWI.It dawned on me that what I knew of this point in times history does not fit.WWI ended in 1918,or so we were told. But before WWII was declared,Germany once again occupied Europe.More under Hitler than the previous German High Commander. It's as if WWI never ended, more like someone called a time out. Then in 1939 someone whispered time in.The timeline of history that leads me here today makes me see that WWII was the same.If the history of worlds event are not distorted than how could Hitler have been able to,at the very least afford a army so well supplied and to be allowed to walk into countries that Germany were so deep in debt to.Because now we stand on the brink of WWIII.But with the same techniques used by Hitler being used by US poloticians.Reality has been distorted or facts have been altered.
If I were not a high school graduate,my understanding of history is the plans that began with WWI are still in motion.

All that's because Hitler was REALLY GOOD at what he did. He created a very strangely booming economy which allowed a people riled up with patriotism (so they didn't need to get paid as much to do the war-work) to head out to war. You've definitely gone too far this time; just because you, with a rudimentary understanding of history, don't know how that could have happened, that doesn't mean it couldn't have happened. This is nothing like the "I remember X happening, but X didn't happen..." events.

As far as local geographical anomolies, I have a few...I hope the g*d*** computer doesn't go offline again as it did when I typed this s#%^& out the first dang time!!!!

Anywhooo, I travelled a particular length of highway in Tampa many many times and have always used N275 to get on sI75 to go to my town which is south of Tampa. One day my hunny asked me to go to where he worked(the reason I travelled it so much and the reason I travelled it that day). Got there fine but when I got on N275 to go to my house, I got lost and had to call him. He said "no you have to go to S275 to get on sI75". I did and found my way home....skip ahead two weeks and he had me come up there yet again and as I went home got on S275 to go towards the house...GOT LOST!!!!I thought WTF???? So I called him again and he says"no you gotta go on N275 to catch SI75" So apparently it had gone back to the nonsensical way...whatever, I just firgured I must be tired and I was wrong about the directions he gave me the prior week cause honestly if I thought about it too much it made my head hurt!!!!!

Also apparently my town is stuck on somekind of road construction time loop because every spring/summer/ and fall they are working on the very same segment of 301 and in the very same spot doing the exact same construction, though it is finished now and always is before they start it again in the spring, this has been the last three years at least and this spring I will note if it starts again.

And lastly, there was a sign put up at a bar up the road from me that appeared overnite to me, even two people have differing recall of when the sign went up, my hubby saying a month before I saw it, a neighbor saying a week before I saw it, my hubby saw the men putting it up, I travelled that road every single day the entire month and never saw it or the men working on it. I always pay close attention to that area because it's on a curve and because a lot of times drunks enter the roadway without looking and I almost got nailed one time, so I KNOW I hadn't seen the sign the day before!!!! What also makes it odd is the two differing other opinions of when the sign went up!

I signed up especially for this subject. For 3 day's ago the topic of the switch of "old-Zealand" with Australia caught my attention. At first I thought it was a joke, but than after installing Google Earth I realized... well - that I was wrong. I'm from the Netherlands (so please excuse my writing), 36 years old and for 3 day's ago certain that Australia looked completely different. Because of my background as a writer I’ve a capacity to visualize information and store pictures, maps etc. in my mind. I have to store everything exactly correct because otherwise the novels I write would come out chaotic and ridiculous. I clearly remember studying Australia and New Zealand after the release of Lord of the rings.

No I do not tend to hold maps upside down! I cannot remember Australia having that strange pointed landscape near PNG, also cannot remember it being so close to another country. It was “close” to NZ, and NZ absolutely was nowhere beneath.

I’ve spent the last day’s thinking what else I remembered that was out of the ordinary. Than I remember an occurrence somewhere between 2006 and 2007. One night I woke up because of a strange “wave noise” I cannot describe this differently. It was loud and vibrated at a low tone and seemed to go trough my body and than lighted up the room. Now you think that that was just a dream, but the same moment my to daughters started to cry, they where totally mixed up. The only one that didn’t realize this strange event was my husband, he slept through everything. Does anybody know what I am talking about? Oh - it wasn’t an ET of that I’m sure!

I, like many others, have been browsing this site for years without posting. This thread is the only one that has truly made me want to reply.

I have in front of me an old geography book first published in 1942, Physical Patterns in Geography, Birchall, Gary. After checking on Google Maps, I see that Australia is in the exact same place is has always been - just south of Papua New Guinea. New Zealand is where it has always (obviously not ALWAYS) been, to the southeast of Australia. The maps I have in front of me from 50 years ago match the maps of today.

As for Nelson Mandela, Billy Graham.... does it matter if they are dead or alive? Do you believe everything you read? No matter where it is printed?

I suggest that it is not the events themselves that have changed, but your memories.

The mind loves to play tricks on us.

alot of this thread is hilarious to read, ive been keeping up on it too for laughs not to post that i have had trouble with things

our minds can play tricks on us or fumble memories and replace them with ones we make up, i guess kinda like making stuff up without thinking about it

the whole NZ and australia is the same to me as it always has been, ive never studied geography except grade school and its still in the same place as it was before, im 33 now, so my memory has served me well

but over all this thread has been interesting and most entertaining, just wanted to say thanks

well, i can't say that it is the truth, because i could just be wrong, but i'm certainly not lying. this is exactly how i remember it.

and the thing is, i do know that people have a tendency to create their own memories out of imaginings from time to time. but i just can't believe that this is the case in this instance because that episode bugged me so much that i've thought about it all of my life (as opposed to suddenly remembering years later).

i don't know. in my mind, it either really happened or i was seriously delusional as a child.
i'm not discounting either.

Glad we could provide you with some entertainment. Obviously these are things you've not experienced. Some of us realize how bizarre and fantastic these events sound. Some of us have lives, reputations, and jobs that could be jeopardized if certain people we know ever read these posts. Some of us have put ourselves "out there" in order to make some sense of our experiences, find common ground and explore potential causes.

If you are unable to contribute meaningfully to the discussion then please keep your useless and condescending comments to yourself.

This is the first time i have posted, more happy just to read, but I felt compelled on this. I can swear I heard Ken dodd was dead. Roughly six months back I heard it on the radio. I only became aware he was still alive as I read your post. Just checked through some internet sites and his 2010 tours are advertised. I was pretty certain I heard the radio correctly. How peculiar?

I agree with you completely. As I stated earlier in this thread, Australia did not have a point and was in a different spot. Certain famous people had died but years later I heard they were still alive.

This thread had prompted so many people to come out of hiding and finally sign up and comment on ATS, including me. I'm not sure why.

Is it that many of us are now waking up?

Not only that, but this thread prompted me to start my own thread asking questions that I've had about an experience that happened 16 years ago. I also live a normal life and work in a respected profession but want answers to an unusual experience.

Thank you, OP. Your post compelled me to write and is compelling others as well. Thanks.

I've experienced similar happenings. Tell me, have you ever felt like there was a sphere pressing in around you? it's hard to describe but it's almost as if the air around me is thicker than the rest and pressurized. Quite odd honestly.

I'm still waiting to hear if there were aboriginals or maori in the alt. Australia and New Zealand. Were there and how did they get there?

It's difficult to describe. I just remember a lot of noise, but it wasn't a noise as we know it. More like a sound wave that trembled trough everything. I felt the noise all around me but obviously it wasn’t loud as I remembered because it just woke me up (and my 2 children) but not my husband. Than there was this light, it was only there a fraction of a moment.

It was so weird that I talked about it with some others. They just gave me the look… I was the only one with his occurrence, so I “forgot” about it. What I’ve learned; Better to ignore disturbances than trying to convince an audience that doesn’t understand what TH you are talking about.

Bwaaaahaaaahaaaa...

I have just wasted an hour on this thread which is total lunacy in what has been posted, albeit from young posters, who either are stupid or just un-educated.

Occams Razor on this one says:

1) There are timelines shifts?
2) Stupid and un-educated?

I would say that number 2 would be the simplest outcome/answer.

Debunk yourselves 1st and PLEASE post maps, links OR just simply do the research/math...

This is how you LEARN stuff :-)

I am neither young nor uneducated, sir, nor am I stupid. How pathetic is it of you to "waste an hour of your life" reading "this lunacy" just so you can feel superior to some people you don't know on the internet.

Sometimes it is best try not to feel inferior or superior. It is a battle where there is no win except to deny the battle exists.

I'm sure my death will be a waste, yet if I'm gonna feel superior to anybody then I know this piece of garbage body will die naturally.

Not everyone accepts Occam's razor. I already talked about this hardcore.

Oi, Really? You think no one suggested this? How did you waste an hour on this thread and then feel like you needed to repeat everything that the deniers said? Besides, posting maps to prove what the believers claim is happening would be impossible! The maps which show the different australia don't exist in this universe. Maybe they don't exist in any universe, and these people are just mis-remembering. I'm not denying that that's the most likely solution. But the point is, if it is happening, it's not leaving that sort of evidence.

(For the record, I am a skeptic, and tend to side with the deniers, but am tired of the believers being shot at with such flawed understanding of what they're saying.)
