Nah JK I saw this thread the day it came out and forgot to post and it had a questionaire, if i remember correctly, with pics of where we thought austrailia and new zealand were.

I remember the really expensive maps that rolled out of the thingie that the overhead projector screen came out of at school and remember new zealand to be waaaaaay more north than what it is on google maps.

kinda odd imo but advancements our tech seem to correct and make more of the resources we have more correct then what we had a while back.

It isn't a hoax. A significant number of people looked at New Zealand on the map and it wasn't in the location they remembered it. Its not so much that they were wrong so much as their degree of certainty of where they believed it was compared to how wrong they actually were.

People keep complaining about geography knowledge of Americans but it doesn't have much to do with it. For example, lets say you knew next to nothing about celebrities and lived in the UK, but if I occasionally saw one with a mole on their cheek. Lets say the next time you saw them their mole was in a completely different place I had been seeing it and mentioned this on ATS. You mention it was suddenly on their bottom right of their face instead of their top-left.

The next thing you know, Americans who know all kinds of things about celebrities are going to be laughing you off the website and claiming your story should be marked hoax when it could be either some freak instance of nature or more likely you just being dramatically wrong about something.

Your perception is only your personal interpretation of the input your mind makes of the energy vibrations which are outside, what you percieve as, your person/body.

When perceptions change it is a sign that the vibrating energy we call 'matter' is changing.

New Zealand looks like its NW of Australia if you hold the globe upside down. As kids maybe some of you did that???

As a Canadian, I must concur with those who remember Australia being way off to itself with little NZ by it's SE side. It is only the last couple of years that I have noticed, and been rather amazed at how "attached" it is to SE Asia. I think it had something to do with our education system. Because Australians were Caucasian we just assumed for the most part, there was no way they could of been part of SE Asia. It was a mental thing more than a physical reality thing.

ok i agree with the concept and i also remember it to the north west... much more north west.

for some reason i remember it near sweden.

now that strikes me more of a memory lapse.

but i swear i took tests on it in school and it was always to the left of sweden.

of course i remember their being 6 oceans in school also.

brought it up to my wife before. she told me i was wrong.

i still feel i am right.

also at least where i remember it. it would still have similar climate.

but then again i know i am wrong now.

to me it doesnt matter if i or others have switched timelines. we are in this one now. so we must grow with it. maybe we will go back? maybe we wil move to another one again.

maybe that is what 2012 is all about. not a planet or mass catastrophe.

but a destruction of our timeline.

the calendar ended in 2012. maybe that was the point?

what about all the timelines coming to one? could that not be the possibility. maybe that is what causes the turmoil.

everyone wondering what happened to aus, nz, uk, etc.

maybe aus never even existed as stated before this as a point of reference.

maybe it is in a new timeline because people live there and need to move to the same dimension/timeline?

Steven Hawking is currently working to disprove the Knowlage Paradox saying that for every universe where information is lost, there is one where it hasnt....

What if I have always known that NZ is east BUT you managed to be destroyed in the multiverse where it is west and the universe attempts to maintain the "knowlage" and it corrects it by giving you duplicate into that contradicts itself?

I just found an old Time Life history book with a map that confirms my suspicions that some maps were printed with a little artistic lisence. Australia is more isolated in this map like I remember it. If this were a timeshift, why would this book have survived and scraped into this dimension? It's just a book. This is my proof that the timeshift theory is a little too out there to be real.
