ATS 2010 - Part Three - Dark Meat or Light Meat?

In this instance, I choose the Dark Side.

And only in this instance.


Here's another idea for the new site design: can ATS incorporate the avatar of whom a post is replying to? When I see a post saying "reply to YetAnotherPoster", it'd be easier to recall which post it's referring to if YetAnotherPoster's avatar was somehow displayed in the response as well. I've tried to visualize a solution that wouldn't take up too much space in the responding post, but the only solution I would see would be to somehow shrink said avatar down, else it'd take up perhaps too much space.

Dark please.

I'm gonna go with Dark Meat.

I like my conspiracy theories to take an ominous air to them and black on white just seems too damn happy for our crowd.

So the dark is great.

On a side note it seems the overhaul is going well. I like what I am seeing so far. Very sexy .

Dark is easier on my aged, bespectacled, bloodshot eyes.

I hear the Dark Meat comes with the paranoia already, you only have to ask for it as a side if you ask for the Light Meat . . . .

Putting in yet another vote for dark...

I am sure it has been said before but-

Darker is easier to look at and doesn't stress the eyes.

A white screen over long periods of time does cause discomfort in some (read it on some site before).

I say dark...and not because I'm evil.

I LOVE the dark! I hate when I accidentally hit the light, it bothers my eyes. PLEASE keep the dark option!!!!

I do like the dark .... And it also makes ATS stand out as somewhere different. But then again the proposed light version looks good too ..... Oh dear, not much help am I

I don't think it'd bother me whichever option were chosen

Edit: I've just had another look and I think I definitely prefer the dark side

I was a light man, Dark is cool.

Remember that the light he is suggesting is not white with black but the reverse of the dark, with a light grey back and a black\dark grey writing.

I still vote for the Dark Meat though.

The only problem that I see is the incompatibility of avatar background with the name of the member, sometimes making the name invisible.

My opinion would be to keep everything as dark and mellow as possible. It's easier on the eyes, at least it is for me.

I like the colors currently being used in the ATS theme.

Dark side, I mean dark meat please.

Light side is harder to see for people like me who have cataracts.

Dark Meat PLEASE!!!! I wear my sunglasses at night....

But not on ATS!
