me, too. i don't mind if people see it..., however, i DO mind if people who don't have nice bodies are humiliated by this intrusive big brother overkill system. i DO mind if a pedophile security guard can get his rocks off looking at naked children.

airport security will not stop any REAL terrorist from wreaking havoc. it is just an excuse to train people to think they are cattle.

The issue has nothing to do with whether you have a great bod to show off or not, the issue is privacy and how far this is all going to be taken.

There will be no where to run, no where to hide no where that is safe.

And everyone keeps looking at this from such a juvenile perspective.

We're talking the loss of yet another freedom.

I'm not even going to go into the real ulterior motives these things are coming to pass.

Wake the frak up.

So i can't take pictures of my own kids in public or them playing in the bathtub without being arrested yet airport personnel can look at my kids naked.....

...................

....It makes sense. No really it does.

Now stop this planet because i want to get off.

Peace

I seriously don't see what all the fuss is about. So bloody what, someone can get a photo of you naked. Whoopy

Jesus, get a grip, there are more things to worry about than this. I have no problem with my wife or my 5 year old going through the scanner. Maybe someone will keep a photo of them, does it matter? No not really. You can't really identify people by the scans. It's just a body for gods sake.

If I was you, I would be more worried about a pedo taking photos of my kids at the beach.. photos that can identify them. Give the perverts ideas.. snatchings. That's the stuff that keeps me up at night.. not some crappy quality photo that could be anyone.

If you want security you have to pay a price. If you don't like it, don't fly.

You can't win. If they did nothing, you'd all be up in arms that they have done nothing. They do something, and your all up in arms... seriously. Time to step back a little and get a grip.

Much ado about nothing. There are male bodies and female bodies, everyone has seen both, its no big deal, get over it. Far as I am concerned they can make everyone strip and fly in a paper jumpsuit if it means I can get from point A to point B without being blown out of the sky by some fanatic.

The only people that are trying to blow up aircraft are Islamics. The easy solution is to just ban all of them from commercial aviation until the so called "moderates" (of which there are none) get the extremists (which all of them are) under control.

What I would like to see is 20 volunteers go through these scanners and allow having their full, unedited, uncensored images displayed to the public.

I've only seen a few images so far made available and they are either blurred, covered up or adjusted in some way. I've only seen a couple that show any real detail.

I believe most of the images we've seen are 'publicity' shots from the manufacturers to calm our nerves. If they don't really infringe our privacy, why not show us everything warts and all.

Imagine the justifiable outrage when one image of a kid gets out.

So unless we trust what they say, we really have no idea what these images look like and the level of detail that can be displayed.

I'm not fussed either way really, but it would be nice to at least know what they're going to be seeing.

ok...would you have gone along with airport security saying to you that you and your kids and your wife or girlfriend had to take your clothes off and have photos taken before getting on a plane 5 years ago?..or would you have thought it was a bit of an odd request?

or how about if you had to strip off and have photos taken before getting on a train..a bus..or in a shopping center or kids stripping off and having photos taken before being allowed to enter their school?...

is that also ok?

i suppose you think thats acceptable....if im 'paranoid' for not wanting to live in such a world then so be it...

I'm shocked that there are people saying 'so what? no big deal'.

I'm not American, but as a Canadian I expect to be able to go from point A to point B without being asked to see what's underneath my clothing. We already go through metal detectors and have a customers officer pat you down, now we have to have a nude photograph taken just to travel? Must we surrender our dignity to fly?

If they really want to beef up security, put armed guards on the plane. It would cost a lot less than installing these scanners in every airport and paying to staff the technicians. It would also allow us to keep what little dignity we have left.

And for the record, I will absolutely not enter one of these scanners, ever. These new security measures are getting way out of hand and I will not stand for this one.

I do indeed think it is acceptable.. and no, I am not a nudist.

There IS a difference between stripping naked and walking into a scanner fully clothed.

I would liked to have posted some stuff about this, comparisons and such, but I have a feeling posting naked pictures might get me into trouble with the admins.

Now if you show me confirmed photos from one of these scanners than can be easily used to identify an individual then that makes it a little more complicated.

Not a joke...dead serious...and until we finally come to grips with what the real problem is and do something about it... innocent people are going to die at the hands of fanatics who want to bomb humanity back into the stone ages.

Anyone who thinks co-existence with Islam is possible by any other lifestyle or faith is just flat in denial of reality.

having a few friend that wittnessed and experienced "terrorist" carbombs designated at them

a couple of things pop up in my mind

basis of their origin and training is done by the intelegence community

the "terrorist" life s come cheep , dont cost more then a couple of hundred bucks

most material is supplied throu intelegence channels

now my question is:

why must i suffer for something that is done by "us" with the intent to scare and harm "us"

its one thing to promote circular reasoning its an other to promote the strawman argument as a good basis as fact of terrorist are there to get you.

dont be a jack ass and dont be stupid

its your privacy neglected by your own people for the gain of power and money.

dont be naive

Sorry guys but its just a publicity stunt.
As tifozi stated there are no printers for the new scanners, also the booths where the operative views the images are nowhere near the actual scanners. All the screening machines operatives at Heathrow are constantly monitered by various parties and if this incident would have taken place the people responsible would be fired and face criminal charges due to the data protection act.

"Good to know, from now on I will only pass trough those with a boner"

classic line.

'Then I saw these girls - they had these printouts. I looked at them. I thought they were some forms you had to fill. I said 'give them to me' - and you could see everything inside. So I autographed them for them.'"

What a refreshing attitude, to just sign the picture instead of birthing a cow over it.

Refreshing attitude? Refreshing attitude? You think naked pictures being shown to all and sundry and a complete infringement of privacy and human rights would be refreshing…geez.
However, this is obviously total nonsense as there were no girls who miraculously had scanned copies of the images unless as a publicity stunt. It’s not a photo booth where copies exit as they are developed…lol
There was no unauthorised scan and then distribution of that image of a film star for one simple reason…and that is that if any image was taken without knowledge and permission, then a film star could, should and would sue the airport for millions, and next day the scanners would be taken out never to be seen again. Roll on when this does actually happen.

i agree..it was either a PR scam by this idiot...or...hes being paid to make these scanners seem somehow 'celeb'...and also to say that only people with small bits have a problem with it...

perfect..
