Slow painless indoctrination. Sadly for the Green Police, they will never catch me on those Segway'.

It pissed me off because they busted people for having plastic over paper bags or using a plastic bottle. Plastic bags> Paper for the environment.

BTW this was for a hybrid car

Ya this commercial was a joke. I would love to see some "Green Police" come after me.

For the hybrid that is an even bigger joke... stay away from prius those things will kill you

Not to mention the woman clerk "Claudia" has a pagan sun symbol / swastika on her name tag @ 0:04.

I know you can't believe everything. But in my eyes, this kind of crap is being blasted full blown. From music, to video games, to recent books and movies. For me; the realm of possibility that they want the majority of america to at least be shown this kind of stuff, during the super bowl mind you, so when it comes, they'll comply. We'll all laugh at the green police, but an "eco checkpoint" thats scary stuff if it were to ever be truly implemented.

plastic was the way to go for the environment! no trees get cut down to make them where as paper bags! well you know where i'm going! so really that commerical had a few oxy-morons!

That commercial made my skin crawl.

People actually believe everything crammed down their throat. Do people not understand the environmental impact of making the batteries for hybrid cars?

Seeing as how local governments are already mandating certain lightbulbs (gotta love mercury in the landfills and water) and banning plastic bags and levying fines on these things this commercials wasn't cute as much as it was offensive.

I'm sure to the largely oblivious this was just a cute commercial. Too many oblivious people out there.

PLEASE!

Seriously, if you really want to complain about the commercials, complain about the ones that:

Were constantly reminding you that your life was a mere cycle of work sleep and death.

There were like three that reinforced that.

The best part was the anteater on a leash at the checkpoint.

This commercial is funny.

I hope some day we have Green Police. When they break through my door, I will beat the soy out of those vegetarian fascists(no problem with vegetarians, just fascist ones).

lol....

I hope one day, we outlaw new paper so paper companies can go out of business and the millions of acreage of forest they own and have been replanting will be turned into a giant parking lot for endless strip malls.

All this because I value being right over the advancement of our species.

lol

I thought The Who were the better Superbowl half-time performance (conspiracy wise) imo. With their "Who Are You" messages aswell as song choices and lighting effects. Much better than the American dribble that's usually on.

THATS IT!

I'm going to design a car that uses coal to super heat crude oil to grease the tracks of my bubba tank! It'll get 25 gallons to the mile running on the burnt corpses of Smart cars its eating going down the road!

The mere sight of it will make Ed Bagely spontaenously combust!

Geez! Freakin eco fa*snip*'s!

BTW. I didnt watch the superbowl. I WATCHED MY CHELSEA EAT ARSENAL!!! GO BLUES!

I found it funny that the Green Police were so concerned about the planet yet almost every other commercial seemed to be about fast food (Denny's, Taco Bell, etc). Keep our planet healthy and clean (which we should), but eat junk and clog your arteries so you can die faster.LOL Was it just me, or were those screaming chickens annoying after awhile?

I saw that commercial. I was like that is so stupid but funny. But yeah not gonna happen! :p That google ad that they advertised was stupid, Paris this Paris that, no action.

OK here is the problem people. Everyone is heralding this as some kind of joke.

"It will never happen!"

"Something like this is so ludicrous its stupid."

However, after seeing this commercial it reminded me of something I found while browsing last month and doing a quick search, it only confirmed my suspicions.

New York City's Green Police

Source: Discovery

A simple Google search will provide many more sources, but I find it interesting that many main stream sites (I original found it on Yahoo) seem to have taken the news down. Even the link from the Discovery blog goes to the old article and it shows up blank for me.

So this Green Police that is all just a fairy tale to people, it already exists and the commercial isn't really an exaggeration at all. It is call desensitization people, and they have been using it for years.

this is a bit spooky and made me very uncomfortable. Mainstreaming even as a joke a environmental police force is just wrong.
