G'day carbonblack

That last 1 on part 2 is out of focus ice crystals subject to the bokeh camera effect, enhanced by video scan line effect, as filmed on STS 75.

I thought it was a "UFO" for years, until I read all the extensive material & ensuing discussion, here on ATS.

Here is a useful link.....there is some great reading in here:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

If you want to read more threads, do an ATS search for STS 75 or Tether Incident.

I agree to many of what has been listed by other members about what these "UFO's" are in many of them.

Theres a lot of debris up there, and the ones in earth orbit especially can be put down to mainly debris, dust particles etc.

That said though there are a few strange ones indeed that for sure need some further investigation.

The one with the astro in the suit peering through that window with a BIG grin made me chuckle

Excellent compilation.

STS 48-D is one of the best pieces of evidence for space serpents, IMO. And for all of you balloon lovers, part 2 has even more evidence of this phenomenon as seen from space.

G'day CaptSplatter

Could you post links to credible sources wherein astronauts have made definitive statements to the effect they have seen alien spacecraft?

That would be very useful, if you could.

G'day CaptSplatter

Thank you for raising the terminology issue pertaining to "UFO's" & "alien spacecraft".

I agree the 2 terms are often considered to be interchangeable, when often they should not be.

It can sometimes be difficult to work around the usage of those 2 terms, here on ATS......I hope I have managed to do that reasonably in this thread.

Thanks also for linking to good ol' mischevious Buzz!

Having looked into that in great detail, I believe it is well proven that his description is of 1 of the 4 flaps of that opened to release lunar module.

Kind regards

I'd seen some of these over a decade ago (along with more still!) and some are definitely the real thing -those changing course especially and the formation ones, and then there's the recurring peculiar upper atmosphere 'energy dissipating' phenomena that we see happening en-mass frequently with electrical storms! I think that all these craft are being so0 misinterpreted!

As for the apology, thanks I think...
It is hard for any one person to admit when they were wrong and I applaud your efforts.

As for your investigation into one mans thoughts and beliefs I find it deplorable that you can even be so bold as to offer an opinion on what you think he saw. A mans thoughts and beliefs can never be proven or explored by another human being. It's impossible. All though I appreciate your "opinion" its just an "opinion" nothing based on fact. And we all know about opinions.....

As for your disgrace to a man who was chosen by his country to fly this mission and obviously was a trained professional that is unacceptable. I fail to see how a highly trained astronaut whom has worked with this equipment for months is unable to disern a piece of his spacecraft. I mean when you look in your rear view mirror to back out of your driveway do you think to yourself "what is this reflective thing on the side of my car"? (Don't answer that)
