Iran anniversary will be 'punch' to West: Khamenei
NPR link
AFP - Iran's all powerful supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Monday that the 31st anniversary of the Islamic revolution would be a "punch" to the world's "arrogant" powers that would stun them.
I don't understand why all the announcements???
If Iran really has something planned like they allude to, why the early disclosure???

I've explained this before many times. Islamic custom is to warn before the blow. I know it's hard for Westerners to understand this concept... but you had enough time to learn since the Awakening on 911. Now you only have a few days left. Good luck.
Go hump your Quran

Ah yes, I do remember seeing your explanation of this.
Thanks again.
Oh and by "you" I presume you include yourself? You are in the West, correct. That puts you in the same boat as the "rest" of us if something goes down.
Excuse me? Is that any way to talk to a lady?
As far as counter-terrorism awareness, maybe you need some too. I happen to work with some of the top analysts in the country. But since people are so rude on this forum, including some of the moderators, I will take my information elsewhere.
What did the aliens say? No intelligent life on this planet... or something like that.

Whoa... my bad ma'am. I just woke up in my computer chair with a few minutes of lost time and the only thing I remember before posting that was a phone call from a toll-free number-- when I Picked up I just heard a weird tone and they hung up. Perhaps Im a victim of mind control and Im being triggered to post down upon Muslim beliefs??
We've gotta look into this...using ppl against their free will in black ops needs to stop..

Anyone have some decent insight as to what's going to go down?
Yes, I do. But I was temp banned by a moderator who is sympathetic to Islam via veiled racism and I can't tell you now.
Thread Update:
Stronger position
Alireza Ronaghi, Al Jazeera's correspondent in Tehran, said: "It's a new phase in Iran's nuclear achievement, but it is not going to happen overnight.
"A very difficult design process will have to take place. They'll need to change the existing capacity that consists of 4,000 - 5,000 centrifugal machines.
Ahmadinejad appears to have sent mixed signals in the past week [AFP]
"It will also infringe upon Iran's current capacity for enriching uranium to a level of 3.5 - 4 per cent, which is necessary for its current nuclear programme.
"Regardless, these are the things that many conservatives in Iran think will make the country's hand stronger in negotiations with the West."
Iran's hard-line government and the green-themed opposition are gearing up for another confrontation Thursday, this time on the 22nd day of the Persian calendar month of Bahman, the 31st anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
This weekend the Coordinating Council of Reform Front, a coalition that brings together 17 moderate political groups, called on supporters to head to the streets Thursday, traditionally a time of pro-government rallies.
"We’ll come on 22 Bahman to show that the green movement is intertwined with national and religious values and it insists on its rightful demands stipulated in the constitution," said a notice in Persian posted to several websites.
"We’ll come to make our voices heard by our comrades, friends, rivals and enemies -- to tell them that the green movement is independent, and it will spare no efforts to revive and protect the values, implement the law, ensure liberty for the nation and save the society. ... We’ll call for return to ideals and principles instead of jail, violence and confrontation with the nation."

Well the Rhetoric has certainly heated up.
On one hand we have Tehran making some rather ominous statements. Then we have the "Opposition Green Party" getting ready for a confrontation on the very same day. And ontop of that we have Israeli Missile boats doing their thing out of port.
