My person belief is that it is a little of both... we are tribal by nature but i believe that there are people who use this against us... play us off of each other.

I've seen it done on a small scale in the work place... Manager deliberately stirring up trouble among the workers to keep them from unifying... so why not on the bigger world scale?

its like some people get a letter from the bank they read the first line then call the bank and complain ! because it has red ink on it somewhere or bold letters they immediately think its a warning or something wrong !

just as this people read the first paragraph then think its a hate post !

The OP immediately made me think about 2 things, first is a line of a song by Pennywise, called Society : "No one here can get along, because our history is too long'.
And the second was the monologue in the 25th hour with Edward Norton ( for those that do not know it : YOUTUBE LINK

But more on topic: I do think that that it is wrong and childish to place everyone in a box and love or hate them accordingly. After al you can only judge someone for who he - she really is if you met them.

But something has been troubling me, whenever someone talks about how the world should be ( no one should hate, no one should make insane bonusses, the western world should help developing nations, if necessary at own cost, etc, etc... ) Could this not be labeled facism ?
And by saying what one should or should not do, well, doesn`t it defeat the idea of free will and freedom ?

Don`t get me wrong, I`m not saying that those who want such a better world are fascist, I`m just afraid that many (ignorant) people will label them as such...

I hope someone has some input on this, cause I ( and many others ) could use some guidance. Thanks.

I think what muckster's goal here was to show us that we need to think more instead of reacting. Most people look at others in an every day basis according to their skin color and race and have an alreadied predrawn conclusion as to who they are and what they believe.

Right now, since 9-11, all people around the globe are afraid, and profiling has become most's way of life now. I have seen it here where I live to the extent that when some people are shopping and see a muslim, they physically begin shaking.

Neighborhoods that were once able to coexist by nationality now are sitting powderkegs! I have seen muslims, jews, christians, etc in tears just because someone avoided them and or cursed them under their breath simply because they were a jew or muslim! This type of immorality makes me wanna puke too!

I don't care what color your skin is, what God you worship, what language you speak, etc, if I see you out in a mall, or wherever and you wanna sit down with me and my wife to eat and shoot the crap for a while, all I can say is, "Have seat my Friend"!

Wow, really? How thoughtful. Are you aware the OP was trying to say that HATE and STEREOTYPING are the reasons for all this wonderful misery we are in? Or are you behind on your child support payments?
The world won't solve these problems until people learn to look at the bigger picture and not wait to see it from the tail end of disaster.

Yes indeed, I am fully qualified to instruct you in biblical things... I have studied the Tenach (Old Testament) in Hebrew for nearly 3 decades. I also study the New Testament in Greek. Since you put yourself forth as a biblical teacher, I assume that you also do the same.

So, let us clarify what really happened on that fateful "last supper" night.

The disciples were eating the Passover meal, which as any Jew knows, has 4 cups of wine during the course of the meal... two before the meal, and two after the meal. This meal is called a Seder (meaning Order)... have you ever been to one? I have been to many.

The third cup, which is taken after the meal, symbolizes redemption of mankind by God. It was during the drinking of this third cup that Jesus said the wine was now to symbolize his sacrificial atoning death. When Jesus said is was his blood, he was speaking metaphorically and symbolically, as he often did. Whereas the third cup of the Passover had traditionally symbolized Israel's redemption from Egyptian slavery, Jesus was now recasting the meaning of third cup to now symbolize mankind's redemption from sin. You do understand those high-level concepts, don't you?

Let us be 100% clear: No Jew would EVER drink literal blood. That is the entire basis of Kosher food... no blood! All the men at that passover Seder were Jews, and had been brought up as Jews. In the book of Acts we even see Peter arguing with the angelic messenger when he was told to eat the "unclean" animals. Peter said he had NEVER eaten anything unclean.

You are behaving much like Zaccheus in John chapter 3. He thought that Jesus literally meant that a man had to enter again into his mother's womb in order to be "born again." Jesus was amazed at such ignorance and lack of deeper understanding. I too am amazed at the same for you.

Let us be clear here: Jesus was not advocating ANYTHING physical when it came to deeper spiritual understanding. He was all about SPIRITUAL understanding, and using metaphor and symbols is a very common and basic rabbinical method of teaching.

No Jew or TRUE Christian ever consumed blood, especially in a religious context. Anyone who thought Jesus spoke about real blood consumption is just foolish and ignorant of complete biblical teaching.

Sorry mate... you really should back down from this and just admit that you don't know much about Jewish things at all. It's okay though, because very few people truly understand these things. There are FAR MORE misrepresentations about all this than not. People get a little tidbit of fact and they think they have the whole enchilada of understanding... well they don't.

That whole "blood libel" story is just a huge myth started by medieval Catholic monks. If there ever was any Jews that did such things, they would be the Kabbalistic ones that departed from Judaism and instead took up pagan and occult practices. In no way has any sort of human sacrifice been a part of official or common Jewish practice or belief. What is true, however, is that the Jews have been greatly hated by many groups over the years, and these myths have been invented in order to justify the murdering or vast numbers of Jews.
