Cool idea ! So why is everyone not posting all personal info that will make the paranoids happy? By their logic, you all must be secretive and have evil intentions ! Shame on you all ! And if you wont post personal info, you are hiding SOMETHING and therefore EVIL. Again, as per some here.

In my opinion what needs to happen is instead of just talking about things people must act. The people of ATS have collected a huge amount of data not only on this site but I'm sure on most computers the people of this site own. The problem is that is all it is, data.

We need to do something with this vast amount of knowledge here. There are people on this site that are very intelligent, there are people with every different background imaginable but all of it means nothing if all we do is talk.

We really should do something about the horrible place this world is becoming before it's too late but I do not think the answer lies in secrecy. I think a great start could be starting a new site aimed at targeting the masses. Sites like ATS are shunned by the masses because they have been told by TPTB these sorts of places are for the "crazy people".

A new site could be laid out more like a news site instead of a forum. I have many ideas and would love to talk to anyone interested in trying to start a place where people can go to read "real" news. It would be great if eventually writers from all backgrounds could write articles in their field of expertise. Some great research done by people here goes to waste because it gets buried in the depths of the forum, on a news site hopefully more people would see it.

(I'm sure there has to be somewhere like this but so far I have found none to my liking. Please contact me if your interested!)

How would you ensure that the oath of secrecy is binding?

Make them swear on the Bible or Holy Book? But that would require a belief the relevant supreme being in order to work.

But then you wouldn't get any members, because radical evangelical sites will say you're satanic, and nobody wants to join a satanic organization.

You could argue that it is not a religious organization, because apart from the initial belief in a supreme being, the purpose of the society is not religious at all, and has completely different objectives, being that of discovering and revealing government secrets. But then you'll be told that you're simply a pawn at a low level, and that you're worshiping satan without knowing it.

And then, most of the gullible population of the world will actually believe the nonsense, and you'll hardly get any members.

All of the above happened to the most respectable "secret" society in the world, so how could a brand new society possibly ever get off the ground, with this bizarre naivety of the public today?

Saurus, facts do nothing other than panic and confuse people on ATS. Unless you want to rile people up, dont post anything sensible. It terrifies and confuses some people. Awww, dammit, I probably did it again.Ok, go at me, not Saurus.

Making your own secret society is easy if you put the work into it.

It can also be very rewarding in many ways.

Just be ready for the haters and finger pointing.

Also, when people start saying-

"why do YOU need a secret group!? That makes you evil!"

Just tell them-

"When you cease in being a dirty little criminal obsessed with self destruction and bigotry, I will cease my need for separating myself from your non-secret society".

It is that easy.

I think the only way, something like you proposed would work,if it
started at the top.The site owners, the mods and the super mods,
could start the secret society. They would be in control of everything.
The information, how it is spread through out the forum, and security.

Membership into the secret society would be by invitation only,no
signing up to join.Members would be required to pledge an oath to
spreading the truth, defending the truth and each other.Members, who
violate the rules and compromise the safety of the society, will be
permanently banned.

Secret Society Resistance Movement Pamphlet
(for distribution at meetings)

Encourage skill development in: Concentration, memorization, anonymity, objectivity, creativity.

In addition to using a proxy,
When necessary to make a public service announcement or share some resistance movement tactic with the general public, save loads of communications onto a CD as text documents, drive to a public library or internet cafe far away from group headquarters, wear hooded clothing if transmissions to take longer than 15 minutes – in case of isp-tracking Government Sponsored astral traveling tracking networks.

Falsify information to library personelle & choose a computer away from witnesses.

If there is a chance your communications will be tracked, use humor to defuse any appearance that what you are doing is a real threat to anyone, whether an Evil Supervillian, or a more benign entity. & drop clues you have a low iq except when dealing with private circles of people behind closed curtained glass doors. Exception to this rule being, when it is necessary to give the transmission an attractive appearance to get the message across.

Set up different branches of activity, based on area of specialty of members. Keep network structure stable enough to permit fluid communication, adaptive enough to permit instantaneous restructuring. Have more than one relocation strategy on the books.

Start with your most trusted friends, at the local level, & carefully plan how to plug yourself into other network bodies.

Potential departments of research:

Psychic Phenomenon / Physics / Quantum Physics
Military Strategy, Espionage, Armed & Unarmed Self Defense
Psychology, Sociology, History – (propaganda, special relations, etc)
the Cyberpunks, communication department – (Internet networking, prevention of Internet tracking, poetic Online pamphlet distribution)
Immunization against consequence – (amateur & professional lawyers)
Ethical awareness

And can you folks comprehend that by posting here and by trying to recruit the public that your little "society" is no longer secret? Does this fact even arouse one of you people's interest?

I would neither try to recruit nor join secret society, peaceful resistance movements for two reasons:

1. While I consider myself perfectly safe, I consider my situation difficult to describe - I cannot help anyone who tries to get close to me and consider my location compromised. For reasons I cannot discuss, I have freedom of movement, but cannot guarantee anyone else's - and thing my location is one of the most dangerous in the US (meaning, my *exact location). I'm a lone creative writer, comfortable, & plan on staying that way.

2. Obviously forums such as this have rules against networking. Discussing hypothetical network structures is creatively stimulating, good for the brain, but nothing more.

Decisions can be plugged into a formula: chart the parameters of the situation, assign multiple probabilities to each contingency, discuss with the group, visualize what might happen depending on the most probable successful responses to the situation. Assess how much time there is to react, & plan within the parameters of what minimises potential loss and maximises potential gain.

Such a formula can be used, for normal, every day decisions, to promote ethically most appropriate conduct.

1. the best protection against infiltrators would to become one yourself. keep membership absolutely limited, personal and trusted friends only. herein also lies your purpose, knowledge. to know is power, though dont become confused with using this power, it wont work and will destroy the secrecy.

2. resources are already here. in the government and whichever avenues you deem prudent to investigate. infiltration requires only talent to decieve.

3. ATS would be a perfect posting point on "theoritcal information" which if structured correctly would be irrefutable. submissions to such as David Icke, and other notables would be worthy of consideration due to the amount of attention they recieve.

4. on this point, steer clear of direct codes, such as ciphers and cryptology. hide your messages in hard written form in the post and pre-arrange with the recipient respondant. the best way to hide is where they wont think to scrutinize, one example is posting something meaningless on facebook which is publicly accessable by everybody. think on this awhile and it will come; how you would tell somebody a secret in a room full of people.

5. death is innevitable, and if the powers at be are gonna get you, they are gonna get you. the best protection is to stay under the radar and if you do pop up, make a hell of a noise about what you have discovered, and ensure that such records are kept, that even the most inpertinent information is kept, for it will help the cell piece the mystery together.

6. The nazi's got it right, suicide pills. you don't want to get taken alive.

7. the smartest people are already in the governments pocket, but which government.... poach foreign academics if you can. this, i am aware, contradicts the very first point i have made, but it equates itself when the person poses no threat in your environment, then utilise them to any extent, but ensure that the information remains confident only to the founders.

8. someone has to take the bullet with leadership, best invent them and act as the go-between, and don't host meetings en-masse with members. codenames are useful but not when these people (members) have the ability to find out exactly who you are.

9. Restore the Illuminati to justice! Actually seek the enlightenment of the happenings of the world. Either that or remain a nameless faction.

Hope this helps, Peace
