A UN report on Israel's 22-day offensive against Hamas-controlled Gaza is anti-Semitic, an Israeli government minister said, as the Jewish state prepares to formally respond to its allegations of war crimes.

"The Goldstone Report ... and similar reports, are simply a type of anti-Semitism," Diaspora and Information Minister Yuli Edelstein told the YNet news agency ahead of a trip to New York, where he will present Israel's rebuttal on Thursday.

Israel has sought to discredit the UN report since its release in September, denouncing it as anti-Semitic even though its lead author, South African judge and international war crimes prosecutor Richard Goldstone, is Jewish.

The report -- endorsed by the UN General Assembly in November -- accuses both Israel and Palestinian armed groups of having committed war crimes in the Gaza offensive which Israel launched on December 27, 2008.

It also recommended that its conclusions should be referred to the International Criminal Court if Israel and Hamas fail to carry out credible investigations.

Is anyone in the least surprised? Those who are sure they can get away with outlandish claims about the report being made by those who are anti-semetic need to come live in a normal world.

Like others I am sick of the "Anti-semetic" BS. The Israelis are being judged on whether they commited war crimes. IMO war crimes is way to tame, They murdered children. There, lets call a spade a spade.

The problem with the “anti-Semitic” coined buzz phrase is that it infers that there is no basis for being critical of Israel, Israelis, Zionists or Jews.

The inference is that accusations that are critical of Israel, Israelis, Zionist or Jews are purely politically motivated and that motivation is simply dislike for Israel, Israelis, Zionists and Jews.

It relies on two things, one is this belief that Israel, Israelis, Zionists and or Jews are some kind of supreme moral authority that would never lie, cheat, steal, murder or persecute anyone, anywhere ever.

The second thing is that it suggests because of this supposed moral authority it is wrong of everyone and anyone else to examine the morality of Israel, Israeli, Zionists or Jews actions.

Technically the absurd way that Israel, Israelis, Zionists and Jews use the “anti-Semitic” card makes the U.N.’s Report anti-Semitic because the definition of anti-Semitic has come to mean any questioning or accusation regarding the moral actions of Israel, Israelis, Zionists or Jews.

So yes the report is anti-Semitic using that definition.

However why is the report against Israel’s moral actions? That’s the thing that the whole anti-Semitic card is designed to keep people from examining, discussing and acting upon.

The myth that’s been sold to the world is that the Jews have been persecuted in times passed simply because they did espouse some ultimate religious and moral authority, and that was the only reason Jews have ever been persecuted.

Therefore it’s safe to believe that they are some kind of ultimate moral and religious authority and as such to never second guess or question their morals or actions.

Of course that’s all just shrewd marketing, we know that there are Jews who engage in criminal acts and enterprises and don’t live their life in a moral way.

The real question is do the Zionists and Hebrew politicians take their marketing to far, to try to create too much of an advantage that ultimately only leads to people beginning to think the absolute worst about their politics and them based on the extent and style of the efforts that they coordinate to create these marketing myths? Could it be that it is ultimately those greed based attempts through word manipulation and some insistence to be a stand alone moral authority separate and above any form of judicial review and law that does lead to their circular persecution throughout time?


Arguably one could say yes, and the sad thing is so much of the Zionist and Israeli and Jewish marketing is about erasing, obscuring, or falsifying the history that would clearly allow not just the good people of the world but the good Jews of the world to as well, reject these kings of absurd marketing practices and word games.

Zionist Israel is in fact skillfully manipulating a world wide war of Muslim attrition using asymmetrical warfare and attempting to get away with it in large part by selling themselves as some form of legitimate ultra-morality and wisdom.

They are doing it through the exploitation and manipulation of words that are designed to get people to think and react emotionally and doing it through the exploitation and manipulation of events that are designed to get people to think and react emotionally.

They are in fact doing it in a way that is in fact going to lead to a rising tide of real anti-Semitism from an angry and emotionally thinking populace that has gotten tired of the greed and audacity that has led the Zionists and Israelis to venture to the anti-Semitism well one to many times.

A Belgian minister have been refuse to accede to Gazza while in Isreal, because let a foreign minister enter in gaza is a kind of legitimize the hamas and they also state that criticizing Israel policies is considering as anti semitic, that was their word.... And that's probably why they said the UN report is anti semitic.

I just wonder why those undercover nazi are still being helped and supported by others country, aren't we supposed fight fascism like a lot of soldiers and peoples did 60 years ago for those who spit at our face now?

I hope more people like him are upcoming in Israel politics.

Since this is a conspiracy site, it appears to me that of all the nations on Earth that would ostensibly fall under the planned "One-World" government (or NWO for you die-hards) Israel shows the potential to be the strongest resistor of the notion of losing it's sovereignty to a supranational authority.

Yet that being said, we know that it's behavior on the international front exemplifies why one such authority might be needed. I find it sweetly ironic.

As for the 'Antisemitism' card being played, could you have expected anything else to constitute a response? Do you think that they would ever rescind their stated position and admit that their zeal for the Israeli "State" is over-the-top and far from 'peaceful?' (And yes the same can be said of those who contend that violence is the appropriate response.)

It is impossible to discuss the issues in a balanced manner when the principle actors in the conflict are wed to memes and slogans. A solid press core with journalists of humanitarian integrity could help the situation. Too bad it was destroyed by the rich men of the world.

If Israel's calling criticism of their state "anti-semetic" then that criticism must be true

everything and anyone that speaks out against isreals war crimes (because they are war crimes) is anti-semitic how is this even a logical argument, but then again you know that somehow some way isreal well still be made to look like it has done nothing wrong
