Very cheery sounding thread !! Hey everyone

Now would you be prepared to die at 30 if you were guaranteed a life of total pleasure, every need and wish granted ????

You could have any fantasy you wanted, any lover.....but at age 30 your life would be over as in the movie " Logans Run "

I'm sure most of you would say NO, but I'm curious as to how many of you would say YES.....for the record I personally would give a YES vote, the reason being I would rather have 30 years of incredible pleasure and fun, than a lifetime of stress and uncertainty!!
But that is just my personal choice, and having said that I guess when the day came to die I would probably try running away as in the movie !!

Aaaaargh.......

Well there's a film I haven't seen in ages!

Heck I dunno on this one..
Ok so you're born, you don't remember a thing up until about age 4..
26 years to go...

Then, up until about age 10, the whole concept would be a little meaningless..
20 years to go..

So you've used a third of your available life right there growing into a coherent human.. That's a huge amount in this case!

BUT, you'd be able to make those 20 years full of ecstasy and limitless possibilities..

Now, they say time flies when you're having fun..

Would you have the chance to do everything you want?

Who knows.. For the record, I'd give it the YES vote, just for kicks!

Thirty would be a tad early I think. Thirty comes before you turn around.

Yeah, I think you would have the chance to do everything you want cos you would have no smelly work to do, so all your time could be spent in pursuit of fun and pleasure

You think how much of your life is taken up on the treadmill of work ??

Wow, you voted "yes" so 6 yrs to go baby !!!
OMG, I'm dead !!!

Yes! without a shadow of a doubt!

I'd even die in two years time if I could experience the things I want to experience!

Wow! it excites me to think about it
great thread!

I agree, the time would fly, but its the price you would be prepared to pay for a charmed, extravagant and pampered lifestyle.......

When I did the thread, I knew I was 100% sure that I would definately vote "yes", I just thought I would be in the minority on it, that most people would be horrified at dying so young !!

Who wants to get old anyway ??

Wow, did I totally over analyse that?

But you're right, work does take a lot, and it sometimes feels strange to turn around and think, 'wow, where did the week/month/year go?'

Can be a real trip sometimes, but it sure makes the bits in between, the holidays, weekends, weeks off, so much more sweeter, and full of whatever I want

Seems to me that the best years of your life are your teens and 20s, so any opportunity to max out the fun and pleasure during the decades when you are in your prime is pretty cool

To not have to waste a minute of those years on boring, tedious work, no worries over money, anything and everything at your beck and call...

If I was'nt dead you could sure sign me up NOW !!!

Haha! But at the end, would you even mind that you'd be dead?
I mean, after a life of pure pleasure and everything you could ever dream of, would it even matter?

If I'm honest, I'd only really vote yes if this was something that everyone could enjoy, and I mean, EVERYONE.
I'd feel incredibly selfish if I had that, while others suffered at our expense..

You work out how many hours you actually spend at work, if you enjoy your job and its a pleasure, then that's a different ball game, but a lot of people hate their jobs !!!
40 hrs a week for say nearly 50 yrs ???

Anyone got a calculator handy ??

I think alot of people will go for that aswell! but for me, I feel like if it started now, that would be better for me! I think i'm at a stage where I would appreciate it more, say than I would 4 years ago at 20, i'd appreciate and waste less of what I could do with such a gift, right now more than any other time i've had!

Will probably dream on this tonight!

You can never appreciate the finer things in life unless you experience the pain and suffering as well.

That plus the Fact that I'm 54 makes me vote NO to my death at 30.

all my post's would disappear me thinks..

Not even gonna try if I'm honest!

I quite like my job, but yeah as we're saying it's time consuming..
Like if money was no object, I'd be sure to live my life in as full and great way possible, to experience as much as I could
