Does it bother you that Sandy Berger is still running around free after he stole documents out of the National Archives related to the investigations?

People are so hell bent on wanting to hang George Bush that it has blinded them to reality. Several thousand past and present members of our government could be held accountable for what happened on that day based on their actions from the early 70s to 9/11. However, their actions werent borne out of malice, but out of good intention.

Church Commission restricting how departments share intelligence? They were trying to ensure that the CIA/FBI would no longer be as "abusive" in their duties as they had been 50s-70s.

Jimmy Carter not slapping down the Ayatollah? Well, we had already meddled a wee bit too much in the Middle East according to Jimmy, so we backed down......and allowed the rise of Islamic terror groups because of our "weakness" when challenged.

George Bush decreeing that the Air Force would no longer keep 48 fully armed fighters on five minute alert to defend our skies? That was part of the post Cold War Peace Dividend...so they could use the money on social programs.

Bill Clinton ordering our intelligence agencies to only deal with people that had no human rights violations? Trying to get away from past US practice of supporting people who ran roughshod over their citizens rights.

Those four actions (and there are more that could be listed) are just part of what led us to 9/11. And the 9/11 Commission was designed to "gloss over" the history that led us to that day. And for awhile, after 9/11/01 our elected officials seemed serious about wanting to fix the problems that made us so vulnerable. Unfortunately, most of them have surrendered that idea to political expediency and their desire to do whatever they need to, to stay in Washington DC.....and that does irritate me.

Go ahead stick your head back in the sand, you seem to like it there. Next time we get hit....and we most likely will, I am sure we will be able to count on you chasing conspiracy pipe dreams instead of fixing whats broke.

When you take the Title. President. You take the good and the bad.

As far as this discussion about the Commission report .

What does that do for the integrity of the report.

His cherry picking Docs, to be seen by a select 2, to censor their report,
to be given to the other Comm members.

I believe 1 of them called it a "Whitewash"

Did you miss the part about the 9/11 Commission being designed to gloss over the history?

Do you really hate George Bush enough to want to lay all the blame for Jimmy Carter, Gerald Ford, his Dad, and few hundred senator/congressmen mistakes?

I didnt even hate Saddam Hussein THAT much.

Its all tied in people. Cheney KNEW that the FBI, CIA met with Bin Laden's main lieutenant after 911. Don Rumsfeld's own notes obtained via FOIA showing he was planning the Iraq war on the day of 911.

Cheney knew FBI, CIA met with Bin Laden Lieutenant after 911 and note of Rumsfeld planning war ON 911

Osama and his band of merry murderers are responsible for the events of 9/11.

I guess that's why the FBI says it has “No hard evidence connecting Bin Laden to 9/11.”

can an impartial person please explain how this descended into bickering rather than adult conversation and debate?
i've lost track of what the initial problem was with the original post. the guy doesn't seem to make any claims as to who was actually behind 9/11, but is merely stating that different levels of government gave the commission information that was false. correct me if i'm wrong but having someone from the commission come forward and say that is pretty big.

My friend,

because every single post that shows some promise of bringing new facts to the truth debate is invaded by shills, trolls, and operatives.

So much so, that the admins of this site, by evidence of new rules, new policies, and new tactics, battle this DAILY.

I rarely get involved in any 911 posts because of this. Sad, really.

First of all calling me " buddy" is both an insult and a lie. Basically your whole reply to my reply on this post was indirect personal attack written to make you feel cool. Did it? Your location and its spelling pretty much say all that needs to be said about your character as well as your IQ. I wont waste my time telling you what I think you should read because reading is probably something that you are not too adept at anyway.

Getting personal with a rebuttal is allways the first sign of closed minded ignorance...something we try to deny here at ATS.

Peace

Still stuck on the words of the FBI PR flack? I think I will stick with the words of the FBI director who said there was no doubt of Osama being involved before the Congress. I think his information might be a little more exact than the PR department.

So in 7 1/2 months, George Bush pulled off this masterful plan? Give me a break.

Righteousness....Ive heard of self righteousness..which I wont bring yours to light because I dont think you understood my meaning. Fairness and equality are exactly the reasons I detest the constant spitting on the graves of the WTC victims and thier families. What do the conspiracy theorists hope to achieve concerning 2001 terrorist attacks? Dissent with the US gov? I look at these tragedy profiteers as terrorist calaborators at best....traitors and enemies of the state at worst. I have a passion for alternative news, politics, creative writing, ufos etc. I also have deep respect for those with opposing views to mine, because there is a strong possibility for me to learn from them, as I usually do. Furthermore I have completely emersed myself in the conspiracy theorist mindset and found that some of the theories are really cool and bear further study, and some such as the 9-11 theories are simply offensive.

Lol, I'm not saying Bush was standing at the base of WTC with a plunger
and 2 curly wires leading into the Towers.

To be honest , He probably wasn't trusted with more than the basic
knowledge.

This event has the Stench of Cheney, Rumsfield and Co.

"The man says the report is accurate. What was inaccurate was testimony given by those agencies in front of the Commission."

How can the report be accurate when it relied on inaccurate testimony to draw their conclusions? What kind of double talk is this? Usually, the only people who use a warped excuse to defend liars are liars themselves.

Anyone who thinks 9/11 took 7 1/2 months to plan is a sucker who believes the USA has a multi-party system with the electorate calling the shots. Yeah, you can scrape the bottom of the barrel and blame 9/11 on any former president you can think of, however, this is just a BS distraction.

The bottom line is while America was being "attacked", the President had more imporatnat things to do, like teaching 2nd Graders how to read. Basically, this tells you that his role in 9/11 was zero. Like any other patsy in the Oval Office, he was ordered to stay clear.

Fine, so Dick Cheney managed to plan and carry this out in 7 1/2 months...not likely. More importantly, not supported by any evidence.

Try reading the whole report. Then read Mr Farmer's book. Then get back to me.

Then you prove you havent been paying attention. I am sorry you feel the facts are a BS distraction.

I didn't realize you were a Repub , this is not about Party lines to me.

Bush was in charge at the time, so his admin is taking the bad rap.

Probably was in the works before he sat in the WH.
