I don't know what sickens me more. The images themselves or the gutter level reactions to them. For the first time in my membership, I am absolutely horrified at the ATS community. There are some really low, patheticly ignorant scum bags on this site. Our species is in a far worst state than I ever dreamt possible if this is the creme de la creme of free thinkers in the world.

Israel is the only tiny non-muslims spot in the middle of 57 OIC countries. It's the job of Islam to keep Israel poked and annoyed until they are forced out of the region. That is Sharia Law of all 57 OIC countries. But Islam will cry victim and make Israel sound evil in this process. If only Islam would be a plural religion, accepting of other religions instead of fighting for their right to be superior.

It has to be said though the IRA did eventually stop the killing and bombing and finally started talking.

Maybe if Hamas show they have more morals than Isreal and stopped there attacks it would back up there postion as they would gain the moral high ground.

Its never gonna happen and think on this say you manage to get every jew, christian ect ect out of the middle east will the muslims be content to live in that part of the world without wanting to expand? Or will it confirm that war against the unbeliever will work?

Theres a basic tennant here at work that all non belivers must be converted or killed (Radical Islam= Hamas). If the religious dispute could be seperated out I am sure they could come to a deal but each talks to the other with the respective religions haterid in mind.

That isn't true.

If bombs stop dropping on the Israel side, the only thing that it will cause is that Israel will keep stealing homes and land without suffering any casualties.

In my opinion, watching from all the s*** that happens around this messy world of ours, Israel provoqued on porpuse.

What people need to do, to really understand, is how you would feel in their place.

What would you do, if someone came over, from a tottally different country and started to take your land? Don't be hypocrits (I'm not insulting), I see a lot of you folks here in ATS yelling "IF CHINA INVADES US, WE WIIL DIE BEFORE THEY TAKE OUR HOMES!" and stuff like that.

So why is it wrong that palestinians fight for THEIR homes and THEIR land, for THEIR children?

Yes, maybe Israel didn't fire the first bullet, but maybe they made it that way.

In the military spec ops, they teach you that nobody can endure torture forever, they just teach you how to endure it the most time possible in order to have a chance of rescueing you, or give you time to commite suicide.

Apply that to the palestinian people. How much time would they keep enduring this cultural torture? How much time would they keep enduring that their homes would be taken away, that their streets would be patrolled by a foreign military force? How much time would ANY of us be capable of enduring those sorts of things, like ASKING PERMISSION to a foreign soldier, to go from YOUR work to YOUR home?

The suicide bombings, the fights, and all that, is just a consequence of dropping someone that doesn't deserve that land, and those start stealing it from the people who call it "home".

Maybe the problem aren't in the palestinians...

Maybe if Israel said "we are in pain, our people have suffered. We need, like you, a place to call home. Would you help us?" NOTHING of this would ever happen.

But no...

What really happened, was that Israel fell from the sky, and said "look, we suffered a lot around the world, so we deserve this land. This piece for now will do, but if we grow, when we grow, we'll simply take whatever fits us without any respect for your family and property".

How can that avoid confrontation?

Thats what started the conflict leading to Cast Lead.

1 - Muslims believe that their beliefs are the truth about God, so they think Christians and Jews arent following the true beliefs

2 - Their Laws, Religion Leaders, Religion dates, symbols, and all other aspects of their religion are different

3 - They have closed minds, so they dont support the other religion, they think the other religion is delusion

4 - Israel stole their lands and killed a lot of people: this makes this conflict just impossible to be solved.

5 - Every other aspect of their cultures are different, so its very hard to live together

Muslims, Jews and Christians believe in the same God right? The big problem is that, each one of these groups believe that the God is giving them a certain message, that is different for each group. So, lets try an example.
Jews believe that killing is just wrong, some Muslims groups believe that killing in the name of God would be fine. I mean, how can one God have 2 different messages ? And that happens in all of the aspects of their religion, we have like 3 profiles of a God, and each group do have 1 profile.
You just cant say they believe in the same God, because thats not true, they believe in different profiles of a God and it would be impossible to think that a question have 3 or more answers totality contradicting each other.
Even if you say, no, they believe the God do have some X origin, and its all the same ... well, if you stop to think, they believe in different profiles, and as I said, its impossible to accept more than 1 profile at same time, it doesnt make sense, so you cant say that they believe in the same things man. Thats the truth, they have different beliefs, and as I answered above, its impossible for them to live together with different culture.
Its like to say that I believe in Y, but I think that Y is black, then some one else believes that Y is white. That wont work, they believe that their God is the Y God, but in reality, its impossible for both to be the Y God, if this God exists, just one of them or none of them got if right, so that makes the other beliefs different Gods.

We can say all we want here, and in the UN, but this has nothing to do with religion, in the end.

Yes, religion takes a big rolle when leading people and their beliefs and even views.

But, I believe, this isn't the case.

This case is about people getting thrown out of their homes and land by people that were putted there "just because"...Because they like it there, and because no other place in the world would take them.

The only thing religion is doing here is telling people "if you bomb yourself, you will get virgins" and whatnot. The motivation that leads to act in those extremes is very different from being the reason to act in those same extreme ways.

Religion is not the cause, it's the path they take AFTER the consequences of Israel actions.

We can argue whole day long or even lifelong on who is to be blamed,who started the shooting first, who fled and who owned the land etc, etc.

But in the end, who is suffering today? Both the Palestinian and Israeli common masses. They bear the brunt of conflicts, and live in constant terror. For what?

Is murdering each other the only solution? If so, the middle east problem would have been solve eons ago. The ancient Persians and Egyptians tried it. Rome tried it. Hitler tried it. Rabid Ayatollahs tried it. But the Jewish people never did go away, and had courageously defied every attempt by others to commit genocide on their people.

Today, they stand courageously, come what may, sick and tired of it all. They too, like the palestinians had lived in the middle east for centuries. They too, like the palestinians have equal rights to the land.

After Jewish Independence, there were palestinians living alongside with the jewish people. It takes time to get used to one another, and for social changes as well. At least the palestinians are not slaves.

Look at america with its blacks. It took them 200 years to be accepted as one united people. The world had learnt such lessons, that black or white, we are one people. While there is no perfection, black or white, there is peace if not harmony with a minority.

Israel and Palestine don't need 200 years for change, for they are humans too, and capable of learning from other's mistake. But if they both continue on to focus on differences, it may take them another 2000 years to see the light.

In the meantime, who suffers? - Innocent men, women and children....why..?...what can be more important than precious living human lives, to be free, free from hunger, free from pain, free from illiterarcy, free free from fear?

Politicians had failed the people for decades. Perhaps you and I can reach out to each other, and find a solution?

I have no power, but I have a family, relatives and friends, just as you too. Let us both talk to them, explain to them for find a solution for peace, to live and let live - a noble cause, that starts with you and me, that will spread to other through our links to each other in humanity.

Instead of finding comfort in differences, let us instead find common grounds we all can stand on - a start. Will you try and reach my outstretched hand, for the sake of our next generations?

Israel put up with the bombardments for years before they decided to stop it. Unfortunately, there are always civilian casualties in war and the Hamas propaganda machine plays it to the hilt . They may even be mutilating the bodies themselves for better pictures.
