In all honesty, I'm not sure there really is a measure of 'experience' that translates into what it takes to be president. I would rather judge by the personality and intellectual traits of the candidates.

I know we live in different worlds when it comes to how we look at Obama, but I honestly am one of the few (currently around 50% of the population) who like and respect how he has conducted himself as POTUS.

From what I know of him from his books, his history, and my gut feelings indicate to me that he is a very intelligent man, who more than any other recent candidate for POTUS, is not intricately connected with TPTB (I never did understand why his choosing to be a community organizer vs. taking a high-paying legal job was so ridiculed by the opposition). Even Rasmussen shows that a vast majority of people say that Obama has the personal qualifications to be POTUS.

I am not a fan of president Obama, but he is doing the right thing in regard to Haiti.

Limbaugh is one seriously lost and confused soul. I would not follow this guy across the street.

but, I've never really liked him, I'm more of a Boortz guy.

Please tell me somebody else recognizes the extreme irony in Rush exploiting the tragedy in Haiti in order to accuse Obama of doing the exact same thing...

Is that part of his "absurd" style?

Is Rush really a comedian? Why isn't he funny?

Yes, I do. In fact that is my main beef with Rush, posing as if he cares, and accusing someone else of not caring, while to me obviously he doesn't. He's just playing with other people's sentiment, and he got rich by doing it, and he's loving it, it empowers him even more, it gives him more confident, it makes him more brazen and feels everything that he does is justified.

Obama can't get a break. If he takes his time to respond, he is flamed for slacking and taking to long. If he responds right away, he is just trying to get votes.

Interesting... most people that slam Rush have never really listened to his show. They either get draw their inferences from a 5 second sound bite, or just regurgitate what someone else has said.

Case in point, my brother, I mention Rush and my brother spouts off like most of you here, yet he has never listened to him. Odd.

You cannot get the whole picture of what he is trying to say from just a small sound bite.

I have yet to hear him contradict himself, and I would like someone to post when he ever has?

The only reason he is mentioning the light/dark skinned blacks is because he is making a jab at Harry Ried. But what he says is true they are going to milk the Haiti quake for all it's worth.

I can feel the country starting to realize that the GOP is nothing but a party of flamers. Obama has stayed on course, been cool and professional. Once jobs start returning (and I hope they do, as I am a patriotic american that doesn't benefit by my fellow citizens suffering), 2010 is going to be rather anti-climatic for the baggers. I think Rush is wrong about most everything, and I think his statements were foolish and inaccurate to an extent. But I find it very very upsetting that people like you think that calling him a mean name makes you better than him.

As far as I am concerned that type of behavior is exactly what Rush is well known for. Funny how similar you both are in these respects.

Um, whatever dude. First of all, I do not need to apologize for criticizing Rush Limbaugh, because he deserves everything he gets. Secondly, look at what I was responding to:

P.S. Look at your list of 'intolerables.' That is the type of stuff I was reacting to, be it emotionally. You've even stated in the past that someone swearing while making an argument is irrelevant to the argument. Sometimes you just have to argue at the lowest common denominator, because that is the level of the discussion.

1) A show they have never listened to for more than 15 minutes.
and
2) Commenting on a topic they know NOTHING about.

3) Providing excellent Politically scientific feedback, such as, "Go take some Oxycodone Rush.

Gosh, where do I start?

Lets start with the end and work in reverse. He was addicted to Oxycontin not Oxycodone, which is Percocet.

Next, Rush NEVER contradicts himself because he has 1000's of Liberals just waiting to pounch on anything he says. This for example. He is following up on comments made earlier in the week.

If you listened to the show, which you don't, you would've known.
Lastly, if you turn on a radio, TV, or even the internet, you would know that the SPEAKER of the HOUSE Dirty Harry Reid, has said that Obama got elected because he was a light skinned black man who didn't use his Negro dialect unless he was in the right place.

Now, if you want to talk about Hypocracy, lets look back to when Trent Lott was the speaker of the house.

While Sen. Barack Obama said he couldn't throw over his friend and pastor of 20 years for racially charged and divisive hate speech, he had no trouble calling for the head of Sen. Trent Lott, the Republican Senate majority leader, for embracing a colleague with a segregationist past on his 100th birthday.

Yet this is a man who HATES white people. Called a White cop stupid for doing his job. Then sat in a Church that preached hatred of the White man and did so for 20 yrs.

While all this was going on, Rush was there, along with thousands of black men and women, some friends, some colleagues, some co-workers, and many listeners. Rush has repeatedly expressed his view that we are equal, and has consistently pointed out the hypocracy of the left, of using race to suit there needs, and caring little about blacks, burdening them with social programs that tie them to both the State & the Polling booth to survive.

But because Rush calls a racist a racist, if that racist is black, then they have no choice but to call Rush a racist in order to not be exposed for the party of bigots that they are. A little reminder, it was the Democratic Party that held up and threatened to filibuster the Civil Rights act. Thats right, it was the Republican Party, that got it passed, despite Democratic opposition.

This whole Rush/republican racist boogy man is a Media created phenominon, that anyone, especially those on this site, should be able to see thru.

So, when Rush comes on, and comments on Obama, and his Chief of Staff, who said quote" Never let a good crisis go to waste." It is totally appropriate.

Finally, when speeking about hypocracy, know the facts. Anyone on the left pointing fingers, is NO different than the local Imams who sit by quietly as Terror fills the skys, and privately applaud it. Any Democrat worth 2 pennies would've called for Harry Reid seat IMMEDIATELY, but just as Islam is not the Religion of peace as they would like you to believe, the Democrat party is the racist party of sitting Klansmen, racist Speakers of the House, Racist Presidents, racist preachers and racist policies.

Not once has Rush Limbaugh demeaned someone for their skin color, but only for their actions. It is men & women on the right like Rush, who stood up for Clarence Thomas, Condoleezza Rice, Alberto Gonzalez and other minorities because of the content of their character. So, if you actually care about racism, serve the cause with your heart & mind, and not just give it lip service. The topic of race should be dead and gone in the 21st Century, it isn't though, it seems to be goo that holds the Left together.
