U.S. Soldier Captured by Taliban: Latest Video

Taliban video of U.S. soldier Bowe Robert Bergdahl, who was captured five months ago in eastern Afghanistan. The main stream media shows only 1 minute, When you see the whole video you understand why.

oh that poor guy. Its an outrage that he is being censored by his own media, regardless of whether he was told to say it or not.. it's still an opinion shared by many. I have to wonder if getting him home will be a true priority for the government if this is the message he will come home with.

Clearly this guy is reading from a script. Thats probably why they had him put his sunglasses on, so you wouldnt see his eyes going back and forth.

Im sure they told him they would kill him if he didnt comply, and they most likely will once he has served his purpose.

My heart goes out to this poor guy, Im sure for many, being captured is a fate worse than a quick death on the battlefield.

No. This guy is not reading from a script. You can tell that by the way he speaks and pauses to think about what he wishes to say. And he is hiding is face so no one will recognize him. Unless you have served with him or know him in other ways.

The information he gives is to long to read in such a way he does.


This Video seams like a fake. If he was a prisoner he would not have been allowed to have his protective glasses and helmet on. And he would probable have read a short massage that was written on a piece of paper.

It seams to me that he is a deserter. Who speaks for the other side now. He never disappeared he left.

He is being forced to film this video, he hasn't 'made friends' with these Arabs.

I feel so bad for him stuck in that craphole of a place and not having a clue when or if he will ever leave.

I hope they release him safely.

This poor man was obviously saying what the Taliban creeps were telling him to say! He didn't want his head to be chopped off by the guy next to him!

Still. I dont buy into this prisoner idea. This man is not being forced to talk. He is speaking he's own mind. He's body language tells it all. He is to relaxed. And he uses his whole body to express he's thoughts. Like he means it. A real prisoner would not do this at all.

The speech he gives, have way to many details to be coming from a real prisoner. There is something fishy about this.

July was the last time any one has heard from him?

I think this applies partly to this video. But the person on the video is not scared. And i also think the X soldier is against the NATO engagement in Afghanistan and Iraq for real. I believe he is speaking his own mind on this tape.

What i say might sound rude. But its how i see it. Sorry.

This man is alive. If they have killed him. He would have been left where he could have been found. Or they would have made a new video of he's execution.
This man will not be executed. Because he is not captured by the Taliban. Because they would have killed him 5 moths ago.

I believe this guy is a deserter. And the whole story smells of it as well. This guy let him self be captured by some one different then Taliban. So he could make up this whole charade of been captured. He is just doing this to get attention. To tell you all, that he is against this war.

I don't know... it could be Stockholm syndrome or there might be something else going on... did you notice you couldn't see his eyes and the way he turns his head as if reading a script???

I wonder if someone with a really good video edit program couldn't pull out what reflections are in his glasses... Wouldn't be at all surprised to see...maybe a little girl with a gun to her head the threat of her being shot if he doesn't say what they want him too....

Don't scoff the NVA did much the same back in Nam...

Edit to add.. any parent who's had a teenager lie to them knows this guys is making it all up as he goes along... close your eyes and you can hear those telltale changes in his vocal patterns that give his lie away... also watch when he gets to the most audacious comments, he looks away, as if embarrassed to be saying those words...or worried to be caught in that lie... no he didn't just come up with that on his own...

I agree, he was forced to do it... but this happens when you go to war, and since I am against any war, I do not share your sympathies towards him... if there were no people that enlist (on any side) there would be peace in the world...

this way you have naive sheep that fall to propaganda and wage wars for other people's (enjoying their lives far away from battlefield) profit and power...

so, why don't you and mr slayer go there and fight for your beloved corrupted governments...
