Very interesting! Thanks for sharing! As an artist I know well about the ratio code 1:1.168! Such as eyes, lips, nose and mouth. You will also notice most people who are on TV have this code. Bill Clinton is a good example of a perfect face.. Yep Clinton has one of those faces that is perfectly coded with 1.168.
Math can explain so much, and within our human set parameters it can lead us down many paths that explain so much.. Not only about human beauty..
But beauty in its many forms!

I can't tell you how hard it is though to live with this affliction of physical beauty!!

You know whats great about not being phyisically beatiful? I am so friggin happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I am so intelligent and so creative. I don't spend millions on crap to be more physically beatiful, I am just naturally beautiful within and I can go along my way unmolested.

Glad you like it!
And you're right , it falls into many other caterories besides nature.
The Golden Ratio is represented numerically as 1:1.618 and the number 1.618 has been given the name Phi. It is a constant found throughout nature and is beautifully revealed in the shape of the nautilus shell, the shape of the human ear, in spiral galaxies and even in the rhythm of our own heartbeat its shape has natural appeal to us. It resonates throughout creation connecting us to the universe and to each other.

Symmetry could be a reason too, but most people are symmetrical anyway.

Here let me embed the video for you here..
I will see if I can find an older video I had about this topic. Its very interesting indeed about the mathematical aspect. This happens with Flowers, landscapes, buildings!! And so much more!
I like the mathematical fractals, and how 3d holograms work too. Sometimes when people think of beauty, they think perfection...
Perfections to some can be beautiful....
Yet to many flaws of perfection, can be equally beautiful!
But in the mathematical sense, its the perfection of the equations..
