I'm home.

It's a car leaving the ridge. Earlier most of them fled. I'm uploading pictures as I type this with pictures of said cars AND helicopters moving away. Hopefully this will put to rest the whole "ufo" thing.

Yeah, they realized the same thing... RUN AWAY FLEE, GET TO DA CHOPPA

Whoever you pictured has balls of high temp resistant tungsten cased iron.

Run away!

GET TO DA CHOPPA

And thats why most people fled...stronger and stronger....

Little something I threw together for those who missed it.

It runs a little faster than it actually was happening but you get the idea.

jeez, I go to catch a few zzz's and look what happens

Hey gang, if you use the Vodaphone site, if it is working that is, you can right click and save the image, 'stead of a screen cap. It will save both pics at once.

I gotta go OUT of the house. back in a bit.

9:15PM - BREAKING NEWS! New 300m long crack has opened up, estimated about 200m from the original one. All visitors have been evacuated from the area to a safe distance with the help of Iceland´s Coast Guard helicopter and other helicopters. The crack opened up suddenly only about 30m from visitors.

reykjavik.mydestinationinfo.com...

How amazing must that have been - the earth opening up 30m from you!!

I would have pee'd my pants

You can see how close they were from Foxes pictures.

I find this paragraph interesting....

Wednesday, March 31st 2010 - Heavy trraffic is expected over the next few days. Scientists says that its likely that the volcanic eruption on Fimmvorduhals has reached it´s peak and could slow down from now on. Chefs from Hotel Holt served guests for dinner yesterday at the volcano and even cooked the meal using the hot volcanic rock

Some hours later.....BOOM!

They are lucky to be alive...

When I saw them fleeing I was like "are they running or just moving back to camp...?"

I nearly pi**ed myself reading that. I had to check on the site.

Could I have one guest please, I don't think I could manage two. Please make sure the guest is well done though.

That was not a rebuke. I was merely pointing out that I had spotted it and asked the question. Your post was perfectly legit as it confirmed my suspicions.

Katla or Hekla, or both. Nooooo too close to Ireland.

Looking at the map - and if I've got my bearings right - the new split has opened on the side of the eruption nearest to Katla which would be off to the left of the Webcam 2 image? Am I right?
