How to Embed Youtube Videos!

I see people having trouble with embedding videos, so I will try to help.

Take the video link...

www.youtube.com...

Take everything after the equal sign...

[yvid)(/yvid] (Replace ")(" with "][")

and put it in-between these two code things.



Or just use the button to add in youtube videos, which ever suits you.

I fixed it. You had a space after the first tag. That's why it didn't work.

There should be no space between the bbcode tags and the youtube video number inside.

Instead of (yvid) XFnGhrC_3Gs (/yvid)

you need (yvid)XFnGhrC_3Gs(/yvid)

only using square brackets instead of parentheses, obviously.

XFn hrC 3Gs this i put in the box? [vid]? [/vid] as this is all im offered from ATS! I must say im a member of 5 different forums an have no trouble putting on video! all i do is copy www.youtube.com... an there it is in all its glory, why so complicated on ATS?

It's actually pretty easy imho ...

At the top of every post page you have these skittles:

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/816d9cc2229c.png[/atsimg]

All you need is to press on the youtube one and paste the youtube video id (the numbers letters after the = on the url).

Once you get used to it it only takes a sec.

Yes, that's what you put in between the tags. Just make sure that there are no spaces anywhere.

Here's what you had in your earlier post:

[yvid] XFnGhrC_3Gs [/yvid]

And here's what it should be:

[yvid]XFnGhrC_3Gs[/yvid]

Just copy that and you'll get:

The problem is you can't see the video in the preview mode, that's why I thought it didn't work

If you type "&Feature=related" after the code, you'll be able to see the video in the preview, unless it has another code like "&Feature=report" or some other then you should be able to already.

A little trick I discovered, try it, it works!!

for example

(yvid)EFRGhhye12(/yvid) will post but not show in the preview, BUT:

(yvid)EFRGhhye12&Feature=related(/yvid)

Will!!
