Nope they didn't post it.

I don't get it, its within their coverage area.
Looking at the SNZO graph on LISS it's obviously a "strong" quake.

Looking at USGS Phase data they put SNZO at 4.3

Just looking at the NZ stations .......
RAO 6.1
URZ 5.6
BKZ 5.8
OUZ 4.8
HIZ 5.4
BFZ 5.7
SNZO 4.3

compare that to Geofon's Phase data
URZ 6.3mb, 6.1ML, 6.3mB
OUZ 6.5mb, 6.5ML, 6.7mB
BKZ 5.9mb, 6.4ML, 6.1mB
HIZ 5.8mb, 6.1ML, 6.2mB
WPVZ 6.0mb, 6.1ML, 6.2mB
BFZ 5.1mb, 6.1mB
SNZO 4.9mb, 5.9mB

EMSC don't have any Mag's for this.

Shows quite clearly on UHZ graph too ...@13 hrs B4 timestamp

I'll probably give it a Red colour ( Mag 6-7) and add it to Tauhouanga 2010 map seeing as GeoOzzie had it at 6.0 and USGS had 6.1ML

As I have said before I am completely GOB-SMACKED at how two providers can be so radically different in their information emanating from the same set of data?

As far as I am concerned it is scientific inexactitude (modus operandi for scientists) at it's best.

The GeoNet, who really should be the ones to show it as it is a New Zealand quake, don't have it at all!!! WITBHIGO?

I copied all the NZ drums yesterday and was waiting to see if this quake surfaces in a day or two. By the way I really can't stand the NZ drums as far as time goes. Hours and minutes before NZDT? Have they not come across UTC? If they put the current UTC time on as well it would help, in fact I think I am going to throw and email at them suggesting that.

Forgot to add, note that USGS has the main Magnitude as MAGNITUDE 5.9 (UCMT) YAY! Another we don't have to include in the 6.0 to 6.9 list!

I hate the NZ drums too, I can't quickly work out what UTC time the events are at, its even harder with NZDT 13 hrs ahead of UTC, on that one I looked at EMSC to cross reference and see if that was in fact the time of the 6.0 (5.9), they tell you how many hours and minutes ago a quake was, at least for the last 12 hours.

Interesting, those last three quakes all about same depth and all along same fault.
Looks like a little plate adjustment resonating around the pacific. Will watch to see if it makes its way further round.
