A bit weird or what. My data service picks up the quake data from USGS, EMSC and GeoNet every 5 minutes.

Normally there are 2 to 4 new quakes. 5 minutes ago 44 new quakes came in - all USGS.

One of them is curious:

Date/Time UTC,Latitude,Longitude,Magnitude,Depth(Km),Location
2010-10-04T19:34:27.000Z,38.82770,-122.80100,3.0000,0.0000,Northern California

0 depth?

And here they are:

That is really weird.

Also, I saw the zero depth one about 45 minutes ago, and USGS is still saying the same thing...still has not been reviewed.

Wow. That's a lot of activity it seems, even for that area. I don't watch it every day, but I don't remember seeing it that colorful before.

Yes, and I forgot to mention that nearly all of those were on the 28th of September - just one more day and they would not have appeared in the listings at all. How often does this happen I wonder?

Iceland looks pretty normal. All small and nothing particularly out of the ordinary as far as I can see but....I was looking at the Icelandic list which has 49. The one referenced here has 72 yet the start and end time are the same.

Missing form the Icelandic list (which is usually carrying more) are:

Now in itself 72 quakes is not out of the ordinary. Maybe they are adding some to scare the voyeurs?!! No, seriously there seem to be two chunks of a few hours missing from the Icelandic list. No idea why.

Well I guess since it is a quake it goes here if it is significant or >= 5.0.

Is it significant?

Lol, true.

I know that we mostly only post mag 5 or higher here, but I think location is also important. Since this was inside of the Long Valley Caldera, I think she was right in posting it here.

Just a note. I have noticed the 'swarm' of small tremors in Nevada near the California border. On Google Earth and USGS it is located near Scottys Castle. I am living in the middle of the U.S. and started looking for something like this due to a dream I had about a week ago. My own knowledge of earthquakes is minimal. Tornadoes are right down my alley. Also noticed increased activity down into Baja.

Hey Tornado 2B -

Can you elucidate on your dream? I ask, cause a lot of folk seem to be having quake related dreams lately - may be pre cognitive but MAY be due to the fact that everyone's talking about them or 'The Big One' so it's all digging into our collective phsyches...Thoughts?
