Every earthquake for a decade? Not a problem. I have 1.5 years of USGS and a few others and some historic data going back a century or more (big stuff only) and that is only 82Mb. So even if we say that is out by a factor 10 that is 820Mb. So for 10 years that is 8200 Mb, which is only 8 GB. So lets say you wanted to hold 60 years worth of data in an SQL database. That comes to just 48 GB. You really should be able to get about 600 years on your average 500GB hard disk!

If I see the Mogi, can I shoot it???

Why do you seem so utterly amazed by every quake that occurs? M5 isn't exactly out of the ordinary, yet you make it sound as if the world is comming to an end. I'm sorry if this offends you, that was not the intent of this post. Just curious

If you had bothered to read the thread you'd notice that we post large quakes PLUS quakes we think might be unusual due to location, depth etc.... hence the listing of some "not so large" quakes. Also, quakes not covered by the USGS are added by watchers.

Well done

I still struggle with that feature, I need 2 windows open to be able to do it, so I don't bother often. Too bad you can't just transfer the jpg without having to save it on ATS.

That Tanzania quake is a bit out of place, usually their quakes are to the west in the Rift Valley.
