Top ten world air forces?

Some friendly fire incidants don`t quite cut it.The only casualties suffered by Brisish troops in the first gulf war where from American frindly fire incidents.Percentage to size of opperations American forces have a higher incidant rate than any other country.
The main reason for this is when a single round is fired either by air force or ground force Bristish and most other forces are legally required to account for that round.Report has to include all details of incidant.American soliders can leave base with 3000 rounds and return with none, no willl care what happened to the munitions.Trigger happy is well documented and seen by others troops,any serving none American solider will be able to tell you incidants.hell iv`e been on patrol`s and it is normal for American troops in a combat zone to have there main weapon set to auto when everbody else would have there safety`s on.

still a good plane better looking than any american rotor planes
ever heard of harriers still the best VTOL plane in service if we can beat guys in 80's tech now imagine what we can do in top of the line planes

HEHE, i didn't expect the result like this even if i am a Chinese.
as a matter of fact i think our air force is not as good as India's cause they have more advanced russian su-30 and other plans brought from France, etc. and their su30 defeat us air force's f-15 in recent excerise.
China is like a baby who just want to learn running after walking( means it just start try to develop own technology after learning from russian, and russian's only cause political reason it can't get help from eur-countries before) though China has fc-1, j-10 and j-14 in development but compare to more advanced air-craft like f-22/ f-35/su-37..etc ......hehe.
i believe Chinese air force is just at a begaining of a new eura of its own. and its rank should not be in number 3( i reapeat i am a Chinese ).at least in 5-10 years. why do u think so ? i think america and other countries just need a excuse to increase buget so they pick China and say how powerful it is even if their own army is in fact far more supirior than us

Personally i think india air force is advanced and should in upper rank. but it depends on weather it can develop their own tech or countinue to spend $ on buying from others in the furture. stealth spy, i hope u can notice this, it's a main disadvantage of ur air force.

Is Israel better than Russia?
And what about China, it is better than UK or France?
I chose Egypt for 10th because of 170 F-16. But maybe Pakistan or some smaller EU nation should be there. Or Saudi Arabia? They have f-15, AWACS, and are quite good trained.

I sincerely appreciate that you are prepared to shed patriotism, pride and prejudice and accept reality (unlike the british and french on this thread)

Infact the only negetive of the Indian AF i can see is poor maintainence of low end planes like Mig-21 and 27.There have been just way too many crashes with these.But the high end airplanes are well kept.The primary cause is ageing parts. But with these aircrafts being replaced soon the problem ought to be solved.

I again reiterate that india has developed several aircraft in the past and continues to do so.The most recent is the Nishanth(aka LCA) which is alredy in production.It is to replace all Mig-21 and 27 squadrans in a few months time.There has not been much coverage in the western media and i dont blame you for being unaware of these developments.

Also, the LCA is far superior to J-10 and the Jas-39 Gripen. India's DRDO has boldly claimed that the LCA has more advanced technology than JAS- 39 Gripen and as much advanced technology as the Typhoon.

In my view the UK should be number 2 just go back to the Battle of Britain we kicked some nazi arse that day British jets are designed for bombing as well as fighting so they'd probs piss on most of the crap the french have. ...or not

well i already know lca long ago, btw don't think there are major difference between westeren and chinese media, hehe. infact they are almost the same besides chinese media is not as brave and non-bias(even some westeren media also bias)as them...well things get much better in recent decades. i said so cause i spend 20 years in mainland and now i am in a university in UK.

good job for ur lca but i just don't know it will deploy in such a short time. remind me of j-10 cause the tention of taiwan will force pla to deploy j-10 faster than plan. though j-10 was originally step project for j-14

hope india and china could both develop more aircraft on our own in the future otherwise i will feel boring and ashamed by watching our gov spend money on buying from others

dude if you want to go all the way back to ww2 then germany had the highest scoring ace of all time, erich hartmann with 352 kills the closest allied pilot had..... wait for it....62 kills and that was a russian ,major ivan kozhedub. As for the battle of britain the brits were the defenders which gives any force the advantage.im not saying that it was not a great achievment of allied pilots (british,australian, usa,canada,etc) to beat back the nazis. but numbers not quality won world war 2.

While they are probably not in the top ten, the Argentines didn't do that bad against the RAF in the Falklands. They did manage to take out a couple of ships.

Please, its all good to go tit for tat, but there is no competition. Why would there be a list if you all knew what you were talking about anyway? Confused? When china puts a man on the moon, i will put them in the top ten. The airforces of these countries goes well beyond thier equiptment.
