# 1 silly question

When you give someone your pen to sign a ticket do you take it back if someone picks their nose or cleans their ears with the pen before they sign it?

# 2 serious questions

does it make police mad when people accuse them of having nothing better to do!! then complaining when the police don't show up post haste at their door for some petty dispute? does it happen more than people would like to think?

Hi.

In Toledo Ohio, there was a case of the "blue flu" this week.

Over 50 officers called off sick. They did this to protest some upcoming layoffs.

Toledo's budget is crap and they're wanting to raise taxes and layoff workers.

So, I just wondered what your thoughts on the Officers calling off work were? Would you do that, if faced with this situation?

Thanks

Hi semperfortis,

As I had followed this thread at beginning,
I look about 5 hours of video,
I wish to thank you.
I like your camo suit in video part 4 or 5.
I was waiting for it.

Here is my question as I see you as an administrator in this thread.
"Spiral UFO" Photographed by Hubble -- in the Asteroid Belt!!.
can you confirm it ?
and what's your skills in astrophysics, astronomy ?

And as you have excellent law knowledges, what's the laws in space ?

Which laws apply to space ?
What's the definition of space in the law ? above to 10 miles ?
Can police, UNO can stop an ET spaceship between moon and mars for as example drug, irregular weapons, ... ?

bye

Hi there,

Just a quick question out of curiosity more than anything ...

I was driving around DC yesterday and notice a regular marked DC Metro police crown Vic which had two rather large black boxes mounted at the corners at the top of its trunk. These things were rather big, maybe 1ftx1ftx6"high (I can't remember seeing any antennas, but I'm can't be sure) . Having never seen those mounted outside the trunk like that, I was wondering if someone knows what they are?

Thanks.

PS. I'll try and take a pic next time if I can do it discreetly.

Hi, from up here in Canada. Basically I respect the job you do as it takes balls.

Anyways to my question, as a current J-school student, what advice can you give me about obtaining information and making contacts with police officers. I understand you guys are trained to keep your lips shut when it comes to journalists, but is there a process cops are trained to learn how to dodge questions and what not?

Care to expand on any of your reporter/journalist/PR stories?

Respect!

so..since "ask a cop" is a pretty cool thread i gotta ask this question..

are you for or against cops shooting a double amputee in a wheel chair wielding a pen?

or do you think just pushing the old guy back with your foot would have been sufficient?

see this post..

www.abovetopsecret.com...

bust out your video cam and your pack of Camels Semp and let's discuss this one..ok?

also, why do cops keep killing peoples dogs?

When you went to the police academies, what books were you given to study and are they available to civilians, especially people who want to use them to become a writer and want to get police procedures correct and accurate? If they aren't available, what books on police procedure would you recommend to writers for their research?

If they aren't available to civilians, why wouldn't they be?

Also, how do you feel about civilians video taping police activity? Do you support it, or do you feel that civilians should not be allowed to record the police and why? do you agree with state laws that forbid civilians from recording the police?
