so let me get this right......

The US is preventing their savior from coming, eh?

So does that mean the US is more powerful than their savior???

Just asking...

I like how this man foists blame elsewhere for his own actions leading to either a real or imagined being coming to- what else- pull his dangling participles out of the fire.

He actually expects help while he uses his position and power to oppress the people he is to lead? He actually expects a savior to come when he is hell bent on creating weapons that will not only wipe out Islamists in THIS country, but the retaliation will wipe out everyone in his own? While this coward has a sealed bunker to hide in??? Oh yeah... blame it on the white Christian devils 3-4000 miles away. We've got your savior locked in a broom closet with Lindsay Lohan, Brittany Spears, Lady Gaga and a keg of Bud.
But, I digress from the depths of sarcasm...

Nice going there, oh great leader of Iran. To paraphrase a bumper sticker I saw concerning cops (Bad cop, NO donut!), Yours is "Bad Islamic leader! No Savior OR virgins for you!"

I think that people are taking this too lightly. Ahmadinejad has invoked the power of a great savior's return and is blaming the US for the blockade preventing this savior's return.

This should not be considered mere rhetoric. If there is one way to unite all of Iran, including the clergy that have displayed fractures of late, it is to claim that the savior -- of which the results of said arrival would vary from person to person dependant upon what they consider "being saved" -- is being thwarted by the most evil of countries. The younger Iranians will more than likely think that the savior is coming to bring about democracy and freedom whereas the older generation probably feels as if the savior's return will bring them back to the core of their values. Either way, they will all be united behind this religious prophecy.

Normally, this would not have the potential of major fallout. However, given the hype and some fanatical views towards 2012, this may be the very catalyst that starts the downward spiral. And no, I'm not fear-mongering. It would be foolish not to take into account the perceived power that the return of a hidden Imam would mean to Islamic followers just as the return of Jesus is coveted by Christians.

The problem with 2012 isn't necessarily what is or is not going to happen -- rather, at this point the fear is what people THINK will happen or worse, what SHOULD happen.

The last thing, in my humble opinion, that this world needs right now is any leader pointing towards anything that could be construed as 2012 being a factual turning point for the world. Anybody that is looking for confirmation that 2012 is real will not care that the speaker is normally controversial and dismissed as "nuts" (for lack of a better word at the moment). Rather, they will hear what they want to hear and act as if it were happening.

Can you imagine what would happen in the US if Obama claimed that Jesus was trying to return but Iran was preventing it? I hardly think "oh well" would be the response.

Ahmadinejad Reportedly Claims U.S. is Blocking Return of Mankind's Savior

www.foxnews.com

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad claims the United States is attempting to thwart the return of mankind's savior....

Ahmadinejad reportedly claims he has documented evidence that the U.S. is blocking the return of Mahdi, the Imam believed by Muslims to be the savior.

"They have devised all these plans to prevent the coming of the Hidden Imam because they know that the Iranian nation is the one that will prepare the grounds for his coming and will be the supporters of his rule...."

i will tell you one thing sir

i am a muslim and i dont agree with him at all because i dont believe what he believes in simply because the shiea made up the story that the mehdy is hidden in a cave for hundreds of years which makes me laugh every time i remember this story.

i mean seriously what kind of a guy who will live in a cave for hundreds of years with out food or even air conditioning, not to mention a TV set which is at least 42 inch LCD

aaaahhh now i get it ahmady najad has been watching lots of movies lately and specially those blood suckers , well now im going to blame Hollywood for this

Lost in translation. Amadmaninjihad is saying that all ills of Islam are the result of the West, the infidel, the inferior. Islam is superior and the West cannot stop the return of the 12th prophet even though they have tried.

Like his statement at Columbia "there are no homosexuals in Iran" he was saying that all homosexuals are imprisoned and killed because homosexuality is against Islam. Islam takes care of Islam and they will prevail.

With that principle in mind this is another threat against the West for standing in the way of progress and the return of the Mahadi. This is not a statement of flm or Western words. The words are from Islam and part of the 7 phase plan of reformation of the Caliphate and world domination.

I knew it. If Ahmadinejad obtains nuclear weapons by any means I have no doubt he will start eradicating those he feels are in violation of his twisted little speck of reality. First Isreal, then the U.S., and then any country whom he feels steps out of line.

Even if this was true, it makes no difference at all who does or says what.

If true prophecy is to become reality, then no matter what actions are taken by whoever would seek to prevent it, would lead to the prophecy becoming true, true prophecy cant be stopped, only helped.

All paths throughout the Universe, if meant to be, will always lead to where they are meant to lead, the actions taken by anyone, can only serve to allow the prophecy to become a reality.

So if the USA, or anyone else seeks to do what they can to prevent an event truly foreseen, nothing can prevent it from happening, because nobody can see what leads up to it becoming true, so any action is an action meant to happen.

Those naive enough to believe they can prevent it, really have no Spiritual guidance of any significance.

I know some will laugh at what I just wrote, but it is just a what if, and if you think about it, true.
What is meant to be is meant to be.

So he is a nutjob for saying this, yet this is supposed to be the same guy the Jews and Christians are waiting for. On this site there is lots of talk from Christians about Jesus' return, or whoever it is going to be.

Why is it crazy when he says it, but a Christian says it, we are fine with it? Is it because he is Muslim?

i agree with you here

the Jews has always been waiting for the Savior
the Christians are waiting for the return of Jesus Christ
the Muslims are also waiting first for a man who is called Mohammad and right after that the return of easa ibnu mariam (Jesus Christ the son of Mary )

but Mohammad who we believe in is an ordinary man who will be born naturally and a descent of the prophet mohammed peace be up on him.
not like what the Iranians claim , that he was born hundreds of years ago and living in a cave.

excuse my english
and peace

Saviors are bad news. Every time one shows up a lot of people die, except this time the faithful (pick your flavor) have nukes.

Very bad news indeed for those of us who do not need or wish to be saved.

From actual Christians? The response would be hysterical laughter, followed by 'You're kidding, right?'.

What if he's right? I mean the capitalist system does make some people in the world rich while making others poor. Maybe if real Socialism had taken over the world without it corrupting itself then the ufos/gods may have descended by now.

It looks as though some of the forum members are falling for the go to war with iran propaganda machine

Remeber the tapi oil line one of the proposed piplines runs through iran.

www.thedossier.ukonline.co.uk...

Also the biggest weapon against the people is our memories (forgetfulness comes on quickly)

There is a good reason for timing of news releases to the masses when using propaganda

Uh, I don't think so. Christianity does not have as much in common in with Islam as some people like to think. Sorry.

what if we are all waiting for the same person, what if we've all got divided and the writers of the original texts have become changed over the years, what if Mahdi is Jesus, etc?

Does anyone wonder if our own leaders discuss the same type of rhetoric behind closed doors? I mean, Ahmadinejad says these things out in the open to anyone who will listen and we laugh at him. But isn't it possible that our own leaders talk about these very things, but keep it hush, hush?

I'm not saying AT ALL the Ahmadinejad is right. I'm saying that I believe that the leaders of the world have certain beliefs and, while those beliefs may be at odds with eachother, they may take certain actions (like starting wars) based on those beliefs.

The only difference being that the West knows that they have to keep their mouths shut about things like this or we'll think they are loony. How many people support Israel SIMPLY because of bible prophecy and scripture? How many of our leaders/representatives form policy that supports Israel for the same reason? Is that really any less laughable than what Ahmadinejad is touting? Do you think it's over his head that the reason the West supports Israel so much has to do with religious belief?

Some here on ATS believe in secret societies. People like me. I also believe these secrets societies, of which our leaders our members of, practice rituals and hold certain beliefs that the general public may find odd and maybe if a little creepy. However, members of these societies obviously don't discuss these beliefs out in the open because they know that they will no longer hold sway over us if we knew they were just like the Ahmadinejad's of the world when it comes to crazy talk about religion.

Maybe what Iran sees as their savior, is what those in these secret societies see as some kind of satan or equivalent? I'm not saying any of this is based in reality, but I think these people think it is. I don't think we're in a religious war. It goes beyond religion.

It's an interesting thought, and it is moreless how I was raised....what I was taught to believe. When we worship a God, be it Bhudda, The Holy Trinity, or whoever, it is all one, and all the same ONE. I believed this all my life.

I no longer do. The prophet Mohammed, and his teachings, seem to be on their own. They do not "jive" with other religions. It is a religion all unto itself, imo.
