Breaking or not....real or fake...if this is true than its good because it draws more attention to al gore being a liar...and global warming being a scam.

More hair splitting, semantics, and a spot of grammar nazi. Gore won no Oscar, therefore there is no award for him to return. What you are doing is defending fraud and deception for the furtherance of partisan drivel, bad you, go stand in a corner.

I have not stated that Gore won the award himself. In fact I made it quite clear that it is irrelevant who won it. That being the case, you are the only one perpetuating the strawman, but then that is to be expected as you do not really have any argument so you must pick on one inconsequential point in an attempt to distract people from the bigger issue, the returning of the award. That my friend would put you squarely into the position of Troll. Be proud.

Oh, and parroting, not very intellectual, and only further proves your lack of a valid argument.

al gore is one of the worse guys out there really

I remember way back, when Clinton was standing with Gore after Gore lost his presidential bid, in some followup news thing, he started ranting about the worlds climate situation before the GW thing became an every day news story, and I remember everyone in the room saying he was so full of garbage- noone believed him at all.. He said the world was facing the biggest environmental threat of all time, and Clinton actually started laughing a little . Everyone thought he laughed because Al gore sounded like an idiot and a novice trying to begin his great climate change campaign.. people thought he would disappear fom the scene then... The damage this guy has cost America and citizens just from his contribution to this debacle is obscene.

I think Jon Stewart said it best.

I have had an open challenge on above top secret for almost a year - if anyone can provide evidence of a scientist with a theory and published paper which disproves AGW then please post a link - until such a time the overwhelming evidence to support the fact of AGW stands.


Have been looking forward to someone providing some evidence disproving it - and this has never ever been done.

Incorrect, I'm perpetuating the fact that Gore never won an Oscar; so the whole root of this fallacious argument, that Gore should somehow "give it back", or be "stripped" of it, is flawed. He has no Oscar to give back, or to be stripped of.

If you feel Davis Guggenheim should lose his Academy Award, then by all means start a thread about it. Sure, you may get a few people asking "Who?" at first, but they'd catch up, and at least your position would be based in reality with the fact that Guggenheim actually won an Oscar for the film.

If you're just looking to start a universal "Bash Gore" thread, then we have the political madness forum (since that wouldn't be "Breaking News") so have at it.

As I've already said, there's enough valid reasons to not like Gore that stooping to fallacious ones is entirely unnecessary. It simply makes detractors look desperate, ignorant, and foolish.

Perhaps you missed the thread title "Al Gore's OSCAR award, TAKEN BACK ??? cause climategate (AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH)". This is the issue at hand, if you feel there is a different issue worth discussing, then you're free to start a thread on that; however, this is the issue at hand, and the fact that the entire premise of the thread is based on a blatant fallacy is hardly "inconsequential"; Gore has no Oscar to take.

As far as the "parroting" bit goes, all I can say is that I found it highly ironic that you summed up your own behavior so well through your lashings out at others. Your actions in this thread show guilt of most every accusation that you've been tossing around; so more fitting and succinct phrasing would have been tough to find. Also, due to your clear pattern of projection when it comes to accusations, it would probably be wise of you not to reveal your hand too soon by calling others "trolls".

reading through this thread, I see much hostility.

Fu, what redmage is pointing out is that this whole article is spearheading Al Gore as the Head of this Beast when he's not even the Brains. The way you post this article and your opinions sensationalizes it as just another politician bashing thread.

That's why we got "geniuses" posting things like "omg we should put all the climategate people on tv and execute them lol" and other really ridiculous things that don't really contribute anything besides masturbatory exclamations of hate.


Also, I believe, even if it's not global warming, something terrible is going to happen to all inhabitants of the earth if we continue to rely on its resources rather than working to towards preserving it.

if we can't all at least agree on that, there's a wonderful oil spill in the ocean that you can swim in. the water's fine! just like everything else is going to be!

In the Emails, you have some scientists trash-talking the piss-poor "scince" of climate change deniers.

Oooooh. Ahhhh. Did you people know that meaner mails have been sent over what to name a damned flower? Hell, back in the 1800's, paleontologists were BLOWING UP MASSIVE FINDS WITH DYNAMITE in order to prevent their competitors from making any discoveries.

The thread title may very well be incorrect, but that is all you have, that is the sum total of your pathetic argument. The actual point of this thread is the returning of the award, who received it is neither here nor there, but again, that is all you have and therein lies the straw man.

If you want to be pedantic, Gore stood on stage with the rest of them to receive the award. I suppose if anyone is going to return it, it should be him, it is after all his film, and it was the film that got the reward, not the director.

Not sure if you replied to me here, but, I do not care where the News is at in this matter, the climate hijacking must be exposed for what it is, a fraud and and a fearmongering of the people.

I see it this way. This may be a scam and Gore may have lied, but More good has come from this Global Warming scare than anything.. More people world wide are awake to the oil issues and alternative energy issues.

Heck if anything we should Thank Al Gore for this scam that made us see the light!!

The only people who were honestly put off or hurt in any way by this are large companies who had to spend millions of dollars to Go Green.
