Strange facts about the pyramids..is it true?

And then there is the often debated Orion's belt correlation. Some say the 3 largest pyramids in the Giza complex correlate to the three stars of Orion's belt.

This theory originated from Robert Bauval who is strongly criticized for this claim. In fact, he elaborates and says that the proportion of the Nile, 3 pyramids and Sphinx are analogous to the constellation Leo, Orion's Belt and Milky Way during the period when Earth was in the Age of Leo (sometime around 10,000 BC?).

There is plenty of "point" / "counterpoint" on the web about this topic. I think the real mystery of the Giza plateau lies with the Sphinx though - but that is just my completely unprofessional opinion.
