This is a conspiracy site isn't it? Then act like it people.

This thread is a pointless attempt at changing people's way of thinking towards the OP's own way of thinking....

...There is no rule that says anyone who posts here must believe in all or any conspiracies, therefore to claim they should is completely ignorant.

We all choose to provide what news coverage we call reality, and we also choose our own conspiracies to discuss or believe in.

Those of higher intelligence pick out the conspiracies with the most merit, and just because we refuse to engage in dialogue in every thread on the debunked rubbish does not mean we are ignoring it. We don't have to debunk every piece of crap that is posted - once is enough!

and the point of this thread is?
What? to believe everything you hear, read, and witness?

I personally like debunking things, because once your out of possible explanations for something, the only thing left is the facts...

I like that, and I like it when people really work hard to defend their point of view, fantastic or level minded.

It's above top secret, not "This is how I want you to think"

wow i need a holiday. seriously both sides have valid points healthy skepticism always keeps things grounded. BUT there does seem to be a rise in blatant aggressive posting. I think there is a reason for this, the rise of the Uber skeptic i think in response to the rise of the Uber conspiracist.

I must admit i have seen some threads on here that make (in my opinion and that is all it is) no sense at all. Now that could be an indication of my ignorance or the person posting. Obviously there is no real way to find out, but seriously guys there seems to be a rise in negativity on both sides. I think everybody is starting to loose our cool and we all need to take a vacation from Ats for about 2 days or maybe a week and come back refreshed.

Anyway thats my 2 cents wont mean much and this debate will rage on past regardless. i'll just step back and watch this thing turn into a flame war.

I wouldn't call myself an Uber Conspirasist, but I want to say to all you Uber Skeptics:

"Bring it on you namby-pampy circuitry-headed sheeple"!

And...

"Get off our site and go back to MSNBC, CNN and the BBC"!

We have conspiracy theory forums and they are a big part of this site. We have political forums, that don't necessicarily have to include a conspiracy. We have collaborative writing, and debates. We have Current Events DISCUSSION forums -- which includes political conspiracies -- which for me, reinforces that the political forums don't have to be conspiracies. We have a survival forum, which tends more toward tips and information to [hopefully] augment prep and survival folks.

Do you see the pattern?

Science and Technology, Advance Aircraft, Space Exploration, Medical Issues, Psychology, not to mention the whole of BTS, all of which doesn't necessitate conspiracy so much as it does exchange of information, discussion, growth.

It's all here, whatever those of us off-the-beaten-path want. You want more conspiracy threads? Make 'em. If they are insightful and engaging, people will come and discuss.

I like it just fine the way it is. I have yet to have anyone try to force me to open a thread and look at it, including this one.

One of the wonderous things about ATS is its eclectic mixture of people and ideas, their creativity, their ingenuity. It's well moderated and yet we have the freedom to be ourselves.

I don't disagree with your view -- I think it's yours to share. It sounds to me as if you feel that a significant portion of the threads are inconsistent with the spirit of this website. If so, I disagree with that. Yes, I've been frustrated with an influx of off-putting threads from time to time. Things change, though, and this site evolves and, disruptive people eventually weed themselves out.

I want to suggest something to you, and this isn't sarcasm, just a suggestion. Branch out a bit more here on ATS/BTS. I've seen many of your previous threads, and they don't all seem conspiracy-centric. Part of all this is the examination of the human condition, our beliefs, our history and that of the universe itself. All points eventually lead to a conspiracy of sorts, and ALL of this, ALL of it is part of us, the biggest conspiracy of all.

Good thread. I look forward to your next offerings.

Its comments like this that prevent this site from achieving its desired purpose, One of open understanding and mutual respect. You should thank your opponent for without them you would never grow as an individual. Inciting retaliation it would seem will only increase the emotion and decrease the logic.

This is indeed a Conspiracy site. It is also a news site, a blog site, a site for art, story telling, and poetry, for video production and networking amongst like-minded people. ATS is many things, and it is what drew me here. The abundance of ideas here is STAGGERING. If you could just take a step back and look at this site for what it is, a place to be informed, then the head ache will go away.

Now this is not to say that I don't understand your frustration, but ATS cannot limit the scope of discussion to such a narrow framework and expect any semblance of credibility whatsoever. Please keep this in mind.

I see what you mean but you gotta realise big conspiracy sites are prone to more derailment than smaller ones. I know because I've been around the block...figuratively speaking!

Ditto on that. Sometimes I get the feeling this place is becoming infested with very uneducated(braindead) and close minded individuals who are more politically motivated than anything else. They debunk anything with no proof or evidence, shoot from the hip on any issue without doing any research whatsoever thinking that puts the issue to rest. In other words, we have some extremely braindead fools on ATS.

can we get a "rant" thread so this garbage can be OUT of the headline material.

For the author, the mind is a terrible thing to waste. Just remember that before you write or speak.

Listen- I hear what you're saying, but what it all boils down to is- this is a discussion forum about all sorts of topics- not just conspiracies.... more alternative stuff.

Sure, you could make a conspiracy out of everything I guess, but where I'm from, those types are called paranoid schizophrenics...

I like the "diversity". (I hate that term though).

ATS is a nice clearinghouse of ideas and news. Nowadays, conspiracy is so far in the open that its not even a conspiracy in the classic sense of being clandestine.

I've seen some threads that someone just needed info or even just a little reassurance when life was a little much and a lot weird.

I hate that you dont like the way things are but your not stuck here. Its an info source and a place for "heads ups". I'm appreciative of the site.

I found a couple of other sites but there not quite as good.

Was this an exercise in duplicity?

this site which i have been reading has nothing to do with aceptance it has to do with tolerance theres a difference acceptance means that i would need to accept everything being posted as ridiculous as it may be my answer to that is not in this lifetime but i will read and be open minded to listen to what people say about a certain subject as long as that person understands i may totally disagree with them which is my right so i agree lets stick to the weird cause that is what this site is about but dont try and demand that everyone accept it thank you
