Europeans more brainwashed than 'Americans'??

If we ridicule America, it's only because you lend yourselves to *be* ridiculed based on your warmongering policies, laughable media icons (Beck, Hannity, O'Reilly) and general assumptions that the rest of the world doesn't know its @rse from a hole in the ground.

I love how people refer to the US as war mongerers. How many wars did we start? Really! Seriously! I think the last one was the Revolutionary War. All the others have been based on aggressions towards the US and it's allies. Name the war... WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Gulf, Iraq, Afghanistan. We have yet to START a war.

The only reason there is a "nuclear blanket" to hide under, is because no European country has the money or the resources to create an army large enough to defend itself from the major threat, Russia, and you would be fooling yourself if you think Russia is no longer a threat.

Everyone complains about the US's power and about our "war mongering", but when there is a problem, who is the first country they call??

Since the first person to set foot on this continent, we had guns. Self defense, hunting, personal... the gun/rifle, for centuries, has been a part of the American citizens life.

There is NO obsession with with guns over here, in fact most US citizens don't own guns... I don't own a gun. The problem is that Europeans are incredibly misinformed about the US culture.

The right to own weapons is in our Constitution, it is our RIGHT to own a weapon, just as it is our RIGHT to worship any religion that we choose. If they decide to take a way one right, how soon will it be before they take away another and another and another...

If you look at the party that is trying to remove gun rights, it is the left/Democrats. Not to get political and as much as people don't want to hear it, and will most likely roll there eye...BUT, the Democrat party, in the US, is a pro-European socialist party. I'm not just saying it to sling words, but the Democrat beliefs and doctrine are parallel to European socialism and YES, European governments are socialist governments.

My question is why are Europeans afraid of guns, are they are wimps and that they need other people to protect them (sorry, just a sarcastic retort to DGFenrir's 2nd line).

Both the war in Afghanistan and Iraq were started by the US. The other wars you mentioned weren't started by the US but the US most definitely was more of a violent imperialist invader than a peace-keeper in those wars.

I guess you're one of those people who believe they are informed in a "fair and balanced" manner by watching FOX, while in reality being totally estranged from the real world. I wouldn't even know where to begin deconstructing the level of ignorance you displayed in your posts...

U realy dun know what your talking about. Ok, I accept that we Eu's don't realy understand u Americans and your gun polici. I agree with you that. becouse Your history only goes back a few ages (while ours goes back thousants of years) And your homeland was created with the use of "the gun" Fine!

But your perception of europeans and their "fear" of guns is outragious. If you would like to know more? We own plenty of nukes (too much). We have milions of soldiers if needed. (remember we are multiple nations combined) it might look like where a bunch of boyscouts but where not. And indeed. Russia is and has always been a force to recon with. But if things in the world go realy bad. Russia is a great friend to have in Europa's backyard.

U just buy some more guns m8, might help you with your 2nd civil war. But don't talk about Europa like you know us, becouse you don't

I said before that we Europeans may be brainwashed more in some ways, but after watching this ... I don't think Europeans will ever be that bad
