The CDC already told in the news that the health departments will not be counting the seasonal flu anymore but all death related to flu will be Swine flu.

So convenient, this will add higher rates of deaths to make the swine flu even worst.

The triage system will provide multiple levels of identification -- the first will identify the agent as virus or non-virus, the second level will classify the virus and alert the user to the presence of pandemic threat viruses and the third level will identify the precise pathogen, VeriChip said in a white paper published May 7, 2009

Now I don't have anything to gain from this ( I don't work for Verichip), just stating facts from MSN, Reuters, and Verichip's own website. Please please prove us wrong...show me (from the above article released by Reuters) where Verichip has not pattened a virus-detecting RFID chip?

we in germany are being told pregnant women should not get the shot as it hasnt been tested on them and a special shot for pregnant women wont be available for about a month..in england pregnant women are being told they need to get it first as they are most at risk...and its the same shot...what the hell is going on?..also..we in germany are being told that if theres not enough swine flu shots to go round we should get the normal flu shot as a bridging shot until more swine flu vaccines are available....but...what use is a normal flu shot against the swine flu?..none..?

I suppose you saw that in the Emergency Declaration news piece it also said the FDA gave 'emergency approval' for BioCryst's new antiviral drug?

Even though there is only one documented case of IV antivirals working I'm sure it helped BioCrysts bottom line.

anyone notice the rediculous number jump .... 1000 have died in the us est population 300mil.... and 4000 more in the entire world est population 5.7 billion? if as i always do end up doing the numbers if the US's trend was correct that would mean in the world we should have roughly 1900000 people should be infected. Whats even worse is the fact that we are supposed to have a medical system light years away from most nations. and As our medical system is that great we got alot more vaccinations than say , Africa?

Once again we're seeing a complete conflict between the actions of the government and the media coverage of the pandemic. The media coverage leads people to believe the virus is not having that bad of an effect yet meanwhile the government is declaring an emergency and initiating reaction plans.

All you have to do is make contact with people outside the US if you want the truth -

The severity of the virus is being played down in order to prevent panic and economic collapse. Houston, TX is considered to be the "hot zone" of infections at this time, hospitals in the Houston area began banning all visitors as last week ended.

I don't know at this time if that policy is to prevent the spread of the virus or prevent people from seeing how bad the situation is or both.

Its the only scenario that makes sense. We have government agencies who flip back and forth between hyping the pandemic and playing it down, a delayed "flu season" in terms of weather conditions favorable to the spread of the virus and now the system moves forward with an emergency declaration.

This can only mean one of two things, neither of which are good news.

Either there is no need for the emergency and its being declared for other reasons.

The pandemic is getting bad and the media is cooperating in playing things down to keep people calm and the machinery running as usual.
