Hispanics are not native to the US, they are Native to south and central American referred to as Latinos. They are mainly the Indian tribes of said regions who were massacred by the Spanish.

"You guys did bad stuff in the past, so we will take what happened and learn from it!".

That is how a wise leader would use knowledge of the past. Learn from our forefathers mistakes so that we may have a future!

We are learning from the past. Instead of appeasing dictators and terrorist, we are taking them on before things escalate to something much worse.

I don't think there's ANYBODY on this thread guilty of the crimes you associate them with... They are nothing but bones and dust now.

So i don't really see the point. How can i feel bad about something that has absolutely nothing to do with either me or my ancestors?

If you have a chip on your shoulder, that's fine but may i suggest you direct your energy into something useful like digging your own country out of the war crimes they commited in YOUR life time in vitenam, Iraq , Afghan etc.

Thanks

We have the right to criticise because of what is happening NOW.

Every nation on Earth has dark aspects of its history, but to refuse people's opinions, or try to discredit them, because of what happened in their own countries centuries ago, is far from reasonable.

We are living now, and we can criticise whoever we like for their actions now.

I don't care what other nations did a century ago, I can still criticise any nation now for their actions in the world, and that includes America.

"I will blame Europe for the Americas past woes.... Being that Europe was in Control from 1492-to 1776 in North America... So dont pin your nations faults on ours. "

excuse me, but your 'past woes' i think you did that all by yourself. And I don't see what 'my nations' faults has to do with 9/11 either.

America is the only country that sees Europe as 'a nation'. We are no nation, we are still individual countries. The majority of the civilians don't even want a nation.

It's because I have a lot of good friends from the US that I know they aren't all like you and don't all think like you. But you my friend are a racist and an overly-patriotic prick who blames everyone else but himself when his country is falling to pieces!

reply if you want, I'm done with this conversation and with this topic

So effectively what this thread is about:

America: We might have blown up our own twin towers, and invaded the wrong country and killed hundreds of thousands of innocent lives in the pursuit of oil, drugs and territory....

But we sure as hell won't let europe forget about some things that happened in a totally different life time, because that's just how mature us Americans are.

Sure we may be not have any history of our own, but we'll certainly criticise anyone who does.

Excellent points. Our "more civilized" European neighbors have very, very short memories.

As is shown on ATS time and again.

To some, history means nothing. To some, events only ten years ago, or twenty years ago are considered ancient history with no context on what's occurring today.

I call it "selective memory."

And to others who were the objects of European ire, ancient events are like This morning's newspaper. Again for grins and giggles, next time you're in a coffee shop in Damascus, ask one of the locals about the Crusades. Get some extra coffee, and be prepared to sit a while, because he'll rehearse the events in detail, like they just happened this morning, and often use the present tense as well in the telling!

And now they've raised a whole new generation of appeasers in europe.

Sadly, we've done pretty much the same here in the U.S.

I will reply, I was wondering when the race card would make an Appearance and you get a star for that.

Now I am not blaming Europe for Americas Woes, I am pointing out to you that your history is darker than ours (way darker) and people who live in Glass Houses (or who have glass Jaws) Shouldn’t throw stones ( or punches) Europe is a Nation or soon will be one (EU) I know our domestic problems our Americas problems not yours. But you want to highlight certain aspects of my writings and use that as a defense, whats up with that?

Without the past there wouldn't be a future. Our history is way more important than our future in some regards. As you see with every second that passes its already the past. 5 minutes ago was history..... To just forget the past is damning our future.

WOW nice find there, I never know about that.... That deserves its own thread my friend.

And here I thought that was a pretty well known story about how kids were sent, willing or not, ofttimes against the wishes of their real families... to be breeding stock for an emerging British colony of the crown

[edit on 20-10-2009 by DaddyBare]

If they''ll treat their own that way, it's no surprise that they'll come here to start a row with Americans!

I've noticed several Brits that fight for fun here. I think they must be the ones with no experience of anything "unbritish", because there are also a lot of Brits here and elsewhere I'd be proud to call friend.

Maybe it's just a matter of snobbery. I don't play well with snobbish types, and tend to get along with folks that want to get along with me.

No America did not blow up the twin towers, Bin Laden’s henchmen did. No we have not won any territory nor do we get any spoils of war from Iraq... Believe what you want to believe but you are wrong in your observations ( my thoughts)

The whole point of this thread was to point out to Europe that you blame America for the troubles of the world when In doubt you two are the problem. But typical stuff here that people ignore one thing and connect it with something random.
