Having got family in and around Lancashire (especially Bamber Bridge), any craft 1000ft across that was in the air would have had people putting clips of it on YouTube within the hour. The area is highly built up with Estates and shopping centres, I'd go along with the Chinese Lantern theory also. A 1000ft craft in the skies would have had jets over it in minutes coming out of Warton and Woodvale.

No pics, no vids, no story.

There may be corroborating witnesses, but they would have to be crawling out of the woodwork for it to stand up to real scrutiny without images.

If this guy had anything, we'd have it. That's all there is to it.

Ok, thanks....I must have missed that part.

Still....Without the pics or video this is as far as it will go. Hopefully we can get some of those soon.

I've pointed this out umpteen times before but worth doing so again. The vast majority of people simply don't give a rat's arse about what's going on in the sky. There are millions of people, world wide, who hardly ever even bother to look up unless the weather is interrupting their life.

The idea that anything happening in the sky, over a built up area, would have many witnesses is a wholly fallacious one. You could fly the whole of the British navy over a city and you'd, maybe, get a couple of hundred people notice it.

Peole are not connected to the world like they were at one time. They have no need to look up ,even less when driving, so the vast majority, take zero notice of the sky whatsoever, save for an odd cursory glance.

Whoa, slow down there before you all start debunking this chap.

He is using his brain to insure that a professional investigator can see the video on the machine he took it with.

And have it analyzed to confirm its legitimacy.

He doesn't want, no "photoshopped" comments.

There is no reason to be "dissing" this guy yet.

Give the guy a chance.

To be fair to the bloke. If his credentials are genuine. He might well have held the footage back because he believes it might have defense consequences. If he's on a reservists list, posting the video could actually affect him on a very personal level. H

e could simply be holding it back to see if their any bids for it. Or, he could want someone with a genuine knowledge to see it first before he lets every know t all with a Sony PlayStation, 2 GCSE's and budgerigar start telling him how he CGI'd it.

Well, ...

No vid --> It didn't happen.
Vid --> Clearly CGI.

This field of research has a huge problem.

these days, when practically everybody has some type of visual recording device on them (phone, cam, whatever)...

if you don't have a photo or video to show, you basically need not even tell the story.

especially at a place like ATS.

"hey guys! i saw a bigfoot last night AND got video!!! but, i'm not going to show it. now go ahead and talk about what a doomis i am..."

nice post.

It is worth adding, that over the last 3 or 4 weeks, in this area of the UK, from Merseyside, south Yorkshire, Cheshire, Lancashire, there have been reports I would guess I myself have heard of more than a dozen sightings of strange goings on in the North west UK.

Some have been reported here on ATS, I have tried the search engine, but it really hates me, and without the thread titles it's even harder and I am really tired, but some of you must have seen the threads, some of the locations listed in the threads, Wigan, Preston (again) Liverpool. St Helens, Lancaster, Todmoden, Widnes, Warrington,Halifax, Blackpool ( I discount this because of the illuminations) Birkenhead, Southport, and those are just the one's I can remember.

All of those places are in the Mid-Northwest, South Yorkshire area, maybe 1-2 hour drive apart from the most northern to the most southern reported sightings, and this is just a small area of the UK, I have no idea what is happening elsewhere in the UK without having a good look around the internet.

I have also heared a few local reports of North Wales having several sightings mostly in the Snowdonia area, but some from the Conwy Valley and in Denbighshire.

If you look at a Map, it seems to be from Birmingham, up to the North Yorkshire area is becoming a hot spot right now (of Unidentified Objects)

Apologies for the spelling, just updated firefox, and right click has gone all screwy, can use the spell checker.

If any body can help or knows of these threads, can you help with a link or two please? this may not be anything, but all info is relevant, especially in such a small are.

Thanks

More and more often people are beginning to evolve into susceptible debunkers to any form of UFO claim/s now days, nothing wrong with that I guess.

Thus it feels like the only time one would even consider glimpsing a thought on the possibility of something being unidentified and possibility extraterrestrial is if the object landed during their BBQ picnic as it descends its landing pods out and aliens beings spring out with three fingers to greet them.

Hi, I'm from Preston. There's millitary exercises going on this month.

This is the second sighting, last one is here with video: www.lep.co.uk...

Saw similar myself earlier in the year, thought it was a helicopter until it turned to the side and I could see two lights underneath what looked like a curved wing, sounded like a hover mower rather than helicopter though.

Not a believer in aliens really, there's a British Aerospace nearby in Warton that has a shed for research craft which could be behind it?

That is really great logic! So in other words, if there are no pictures of God, then God does not exist!

Wow, thanks for clearing that up, you may want to inform all of the religious organisations around the world, and then maybe the wars will stop!

Ps. When your IQ reaches 90 – sell!

That's right. No Pictures of God= No God. I agree totally. I don't even think there ever was GOD and I also think the Bible is a Collection of Fairy Tales designed to read to Children in order to put them to sleep. It's so effective, It even puts the Reader to sleep. lol

I interpret the no vid post as saying it's just another story with nothing to back it up. Without proof how can you confirm that something is real?
The God analogy is a poor one. How do you know God is real? Because you believe?

But there is no god. There are no pictures of the easter bunny, santa clause, the boogyman or frosty the snowman either.

But but but what happens when a UFO comes and lands on the vatican and suddenly the whole book gets thrown out the window?!

Do aliens get into heaven??? oO

How much you willing to pay for it ?!!

hmm.. if this really happened, it would explain the whole "hoax" of the 6 year old kid and the flying saucer weather balloon out in colorado earlier today; from what I heard they were rerouting planes because of it...

i've only been over to England once in my life but when i went i flew out of JFK airport (New York City) and landed at Heathrow (London) around 14 hours later... in other words, there's a big time gap between the US and England (different time zones) - turns out it's a 7 hour time difference between Denver, Colorado and London, England - in other words, when it's 2400 in Denver it's 0700 in London.

Look, if you aren't going to provide any evidence to back that up then your opinion is utter twaddle also.

Aside from that he once also might have returned a dodgy form to the Tax Office - does that mean nothing he ever says is to be believed.

Black and white nonsense yet again, cue 10 pages of he's lying because I think so.
