Yes. It's also in my post.
Where is the confusion here?

The Ghana paper wrote the story on July 9th, saying that Obama was returning to the continent of his birth.

On Oct. 15, WND posted a screenshot of the article.

Sometime between then and now, someone edited (updated? corrected?) the Ghana paper to read: the continent of his father's birth.

It looks suspicious to me.

Where is the confusion?

Prove it is ridiculous and people will move on. Petition the guy to show the vault copy........you know, like McCain did. ...and I am not necessarily a McCain supporter.

BTW.....maybe someone's already mentioned this...but, don't care.

As long as it's a live HTML document, it can be edited to say whatever the author wants....at any time.

While that is indeed true, you overlook the fact that this article has long since been archived.

they are NOT the same articles.
One article REFRENCES another article.

Yes, they changed the one from July....In bold.
(why did they do that?) who cares? Doesnt matter. (but we all know why)
Regardless, that article has nothing to do with the article in discussion.

Now the WND article is covering the article the OP is talking about.
Nothing has changed.

So that article you are refrencing, bares no merit in this conversation at all. That article in and of itself should have its own conspiracy thread.
But means nothing to the article in the OP.

I hope we are on the same page, If not oh well. Lets move on shall we?

Maybe he was born in Kenya. By US Law, he's still a citizen. I don't particularly like him, but it may be legit:

Title 8 of the U.S. Code Section 1401 defines a 'natural born US citizen' as:

...Any one born outside the United States, if one parent is an alien and as long as the other parent is a citizen of the U.S. who lived in the U.S. for at least five years (with military and diplomatic service included in this time)...

Maybe dear old Mom should jump under the microscope awhile.

While looking this up, I was pretty awed at the bottom of the page... you can renounce your citizenship by swearing an oath of allegiance to another country? I wasn't aware of that.

Sorry, but it is an .htm. I could pull it down, modifed it to say ATS or whatever and up load on a server. But, I am not going to take the time just to entertain.
Anyone that knows sites and code know that this archive could be altered.
The question would be why would they do this on that paper.

nobody has said he isn't an American citizen. Just not qualified for POTUS. But I fear this debate isn't going to end until he is out of office as he doesn't seem to want to show his birth certificate.

Looking at the source code for this page reveals the following:

FILE ARCHIVED ON 20040627142700 AND RETRIEVED FROM THE
// INTERNET ARCHIVE ON 20091015205815

It will be interesting to see if this time stamp changes anytime soon.

That's the point. If his mother fits the qualifcations, so does he.

No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty-five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States.

I think it's clear that Obama may have been born in Kenya and his mother applied for a Certificate of Live Birth when she returned to Hawaii. This is why you don't have a long form birth certificate.

It's also obvious that Obama has held citizenship in 4 different countries. At birth he was a citizen of Kenya because of his father which made him a British citizen because Kenys was a British Colony at the time. He also had citizenship in Indonesia and went by the name Barry Soetoro. He also has a certificate of live birth from Hawaii which you can get even if your child is not born in Hawaii.

It's Obvious

He's not eligible to be President.

He'd show the birth certificate if he was and end this.

There is no other conclusion to reach.

There needs to be a vote in our govt in regards to, or not to, change the rules and if this is irrelevant in this day and age or not. But not addressing it legally is wrong.
