that looks like enormous damage to me. did the people there have any warning?

Just another thing they'll blame global warming on. Those were big quakes though. Death toll was low considering the magnitude. It's all about Location, Location, Location.

According to this story on news.com.au residents in Samoa had about 3 minutes to flee the area before the tsunami hit.

Some of the stories now emerging are really terrifying and sad.

As with so many others, my thoughts are with all of the people affected, especially to those who have lost loved ones, and those who are still waiting to hear from their friends and families.

Obvious sympathies etc. go out to these people for this and the work they now face. That was a large quake.

Thanks to ATS also as I kept an eye on this thread throughout the night due to the fact it was more up-to-date and had more information than the news agencies out there.

Yes another quake off Sumatra, local Islands have been warned.

America Samoa had been warned too about it so expect a lot of people were saved and had some notice from it.

OK folks, It's past time to pull the plug on HAARP. Is there anybody monitoring HAARP at all? They said HAARP was functioning during Katrina and during the China quake of May 2008. Someone even said that Bush Sr issued warnings of a Japanese quake to get financial concessions from Japan. Is there anybody non government that is capable of monitoring these monsters. I did a google search and got ATS HAARP And Katrina posted 31-8-5 with not one star next to it.
We have elected monsters to rule us and they are playing with the toys we bought them.
They are going to blame global warming, when they are doing it themselves. When are the American people going to wake up? These monsters think because they control the news media, and therefore public perception that they can get away with this.

One disturbing thought, did those countries recently introduce legislation or "exec" orders to round up people and put them in concentration camps in the event of a natural disaster like ours did?

actually I am replying to you not because of your posting, but because of your signature. You are quoting Wikipedia on pandemic flu when Wikipedia insists on lying about the 1918 pandemic and removes any mention made of the true origin of the pandemic and that was the massive innoculation program. Where they wouldn't allow innoculation, they didn't have the flu plague. Wikipedia bans Whale.to. We are being manipulated by Wikipedia. They should not be a trusted source because they boldface lie.
I believe this earthquake was caused by the PTB by HAARP. You can bet Wikipedia will do some more lying to protect them

First off, god bless all those who have lost family and friends in this terrible event. May those who have passed rest in peace.

Noticed sonething very weird on the news here. I was watching Sky News in UK. People who watch it will know it has a yellow ticker along the bottom for urgent and breaking news stories. They have been running this with updates on the Tsunami.

One of the most recent details on the yellow ticker was "President Obama promises a swift and agressive action in respone to the Tsunami. "

This is now gone off the ticker and I have being looking on the Net to find details of this. I have noticed a lot of strange things in the media over the last couple of years as I am more alert to the crap they are throwing at us. I cant find futher details on this story yet. I just think this is a bizzare statement from the White House. "swift and agressive action" ? Have I lost the plot or does this strike anybody else as weird? I just hope this wasn't put up by mistake for someelse thats on the way.

the toll from what i can find is 113 dead, 145 wounded which seems light considering the videos and pictures now coming in.. i imagine it will climb looking at the video and pictures tho...
