Does this look like America to you?

This is my first post and I know that I will make few friends by saying this. Can anyone tell me what is wrong with the government doing what they are doing? I for one would not mind so much living in that kind of world, although I would most likely try and join the 'Evil Empire' Seems to me if they are as rooted as suspected they will be the winning side.

I would also like to point out that we do not live in a democracy, it is a republic. If you want to actually make your vote have immadiate results you will need to run for office.

I think the new weapons that the police are useing are good and I would also like to point out that the military is not authorized to stock or use tear gas, against anyone.
