So.. ive been paying closer attention to the news lately and in all honesty ive really gotta say im beginning to like obama much more.

I know many have issues with him, and of course, we will always have SOME issues with our presidents because none of them are ever perfect and none of them will ever fully give us what we want.

But i feel like he is taking us in a good direction. This is of course, my own opinion.

I think in general he does want to see change in the world and erase many of the traces left over from bush. He seems to be a man who wants change and who does want general peace, but of course this is something that will take many many years, and we will have to have many presidents after him who want the same, or they will just reverse everything obama does too.

I think the UN meeting about stopping/slowing down and getting rid of nuclear weapons was something that was really great to see. I know this process will be very slow and will require the cooperation of everyone, which will always present its challenges. But even just the meeting itself and the thought of slowly getting rid of nuclear weapons gives me some feeling of hope for our future. No matter how long it may take.

We live in a world full of problems and wars and natural disasters and corrupt politics and it may never change, but for the time being i think we are heading in the right direction. I just hope some of these promises obama is making actually pull through.

Im willing to put my faith in obama for now.

Don't Listen to what he is Saying, he is a great speaker.
Look at what he is doing then decide if you like him or not.

i am looking at what he is doing... and what he is saying.

these types of things he is looking to do take a lot of time and were not going to see any immediate changes overnight.

so thats why i said for now, im putting my faith in him. if he proves to be wrong or to not follow through with certain things, then i wont have any faith in him.

but im willing to give him a chance for now.

He wants peace? by increasing troops in Afghanistan, still entering and bombing another sovereign country pakistan? increasing the war mongering about the big bad boogeyman Iran? As for nuclear weapons i can assure you 100% that nuclear weapons will still be around until a more deadly bomb has been created.Atleast another 40 years i would imagine. In any case Obama reads the teleprompter.Like every other president for decades they get told what to do in terms of major policies. He just tries to make gullible fools buy into it with his so called charisma and smooth talk(until the teleprompter stops working of course). No,if america wanted change they would have voted for a 3rd party or Ron Paul. But that's just crazy talk i guess.

umm... hes not looking to increase troops in afghanistan actually.

he was debating whether he should or not, and from what it seemed to me, he wasnt interested in doing that. but the man he put in charge over there told him thats what they needed to do.

well i can say this much about ron paul. yeah sure many people liked him, but even my mother in law who is an avid supporter of 3rd parties said she didnt like him because of his views on healthcare.

I suppose I am on the other side of the spectrum.
He's trash. Has done nothing for the American people. You are given the foolish Bush who destroys our Constitution and then once America notices this, they are given the entirely new, hope, change, deceptive, guy who will bring the opposite. Yet in the end they are one and one....one takes your rights as fool, the other does it as deceptive speaker.
Wake up and learn...

heres what im saying.

bush never EVER was looking for anything involving any type of peace.

obama is.

and thats it.

as long as they even THINK of making progress towards peace, im in.

but if the president is all for war and destruction, im out.

so far.. obama hasnt been all for war and destruction

Raising taxes
Denying free speech
Selling out our allies
Selling out our military
Selling out our nukes
Creating unemployment
Growing the deficit to a number in the trillions
Taking away our rights to choose

What's not to like?

here's something that you may like that show's whether obama is living up to his promise's he's made in the past ... Politifact

It's really too early to judge whether i truly like him or not ... i respect the president, but i don't necessarily like him ...

this site cracks me up when it comes to politics because people were saying the same things about Bush ... it's like beating a dead horse on here.

Ah you are one of those people who still rely on the jargon of past incidents to blame what is happening now. Seems like the salesman has you in the office and already signing the papers. Very sad...Bush pushed an agenda, that the teleprompter king is pushing even further.

Is him believing that it is okay to have a national debt larger than the GDP of the entire world a good thing? I must've missed that memo. Have fun paying that off.

As for Ron Paul's views on healthcare, to be completely honest, I'd much rather trust a doctor's opinion on how to fix the system over a laywer's. That may just be me though.

he was debating whether he should or not, and from what it seemed to me, he wasnt interested in doing that

Considering that: Obama is in favor of the war in Afghanistan; that no president/political party wants be known as the one that gave up on/lost a war; that a commander in Afghanistan said that we need more troops there or the mission would fail; that many NATO countries are either pulling their troops out or not putting them in combat areas; and that the NATO secretary general said that they need more troops, I'm going to bank on Obama sending more troops over.

this system we live in goes nowhere.

it divides, suppresses, oppresses, makes people fear each other, makes people live like mindless zombies, their god is money. Does anyone ever wonder "This isn't the way we should be living".

Obama is not a true leader for the betterment of the people. He is, just like other presidents in the past, puppets of a larger organization of people.

True leaders for the betterment of communities and society in large scales get assassinated.

Even if he wanted to 'change' things for the better, he couldn't. When will you realize the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA Inc. was sold out years and years ago?

This system of government we live in does no good for anyone but the people who are only attracted to the material possessions of living. What is the purpose? Distraction. It's all a distraction from truly being free.

This way of life has no purpose or meaning, it's slavery to the people who bow to their fear mongering masters. Keep being distracted by the bull# and keep being a slave. Keep letting the social influence you receive pave the ground you walk on. It will lead you only to your ego and the fear it resides in.

yeah but even if he does end up putting more troops out there, he has said many times he doesnt want to and isnt interested in sending more troops.

its all of the pressure he has from various people telling him to do it. hes just one person... and there are many many people who encourage his decisions.

if every president did whatever THEY wanted, and not what anyone else wanted... the world might be a different place. but unfortunately thats just not how it goes.

now if he can do something and have the encouragement from everyone else, then he has a shot at making some good changes.
