If you listen to Qaddafi here he actually sounds a lot like the people here on ATS as far as his parsing of the preamble of the UN and it's actual implementation...

Very intriguing...

I think that qaddafi would know a little more than you what is factually wrong. All you have is what you are told. He too, has seen what is going on, and simply, stated it. You have nothing backing what you say, and have the gall to act as though you know more than he about what is going on in the government. Player please.

Before your average American can even try to think for themselves about what Gaddafi is saying, Uncle Sam jumps in like "Hey guys look at this American Idol!!!" or "Paris Hilton bla bla bla.......snooozeeee"

Go back to bed America.

Uh oh... You better watch the news in the near future. I bet Qaddafi is going to end up in an "Assisted" suicide... that's if they aren't able to discredit him completely!!!

Yeah... I saw that thread... Thanks for the link.

I like your quote on that thread though:

So now Qaddafi is a so-called "birther", too?

Well I did look at the link and found no apologies from Obama. Having said that America has acted unilaterally in some cases is no kind of apology and simply statement of the fact. Would you the US president just lie from the podium? Do you disagree that America has acted unilaterally?

That's assuming that he even makes it back home!! I also find it odd that the translators mic kept going on the blink. At such a high function? I'll bet they were majorly watching for times to 'go to commercial' so we wouldn't hear any 'sensitive' info that may have been released by qaddafi.

I believe America and all politicians tend to act unilaterally. Most countries do. They do what is in their best interest of the people, power, money... just to name a few. I believe America and or the people that are in power are big offenders of this... and this includes most of the past administrations including Obama. I think he's going right along with the current agenda.

3rd World countries are just out of the "Power" loop... or the clique. All the countries in power can put whatever spin on it... throw it on tv... and make people believe what they want them to believe.

Did Obama apologize... in a few words... yes. Did he mean it though... I don't think so. He says what the people want to hear. Nothing more.

I wonder if he was farting his way through the speech?
He does that in interviews:

According to John Simpson of the BBC, this contempt also extends to journalists. He said Gaddafi has the rather unnerving habit of breaking wind loudly during interviews. Read more: www.dailymail.co.uk... P

Theres a video of him doin the interview and you can clearly hear Gadaffi squeezing out a few prizewinners as hes being quizzed by Simpson.
Can't locate it though sadly.
Star for anyone who finds it.

Also Do you think Gaddafi is surrounded by "yes men" by any chance?
Coz,dang does he need a new plastic surgeon.
I bet everyones to scared to tell him that though.

There is plenty of examples of cooperation, too.

This claim of yours isn't even supported by your own link. Go figure! If you are imagining things... Can't help you with that.

No he didn't actually say... "I'm sorry"

Come to your own conclusions... Everyone has their own point a view.

My opinion... Key word... Opinion... is that he was saying... Our country has been wrong in the past... (In a nutshell anyway)

Do I think there are examples of cooperation... It seems that way from the outside... Hell, looks like we are cooperating with Russia taking the defensive agreement with Georgia.

All countries in history has done good and bad. Just as an example: Even Hitler did some good. Just look at what some of this scientist did for advancing technology!

Let's digress for a moment. More bombs were dropped on Cambodia by the US, than were dropped in entire WWII. Cambodia being a miserable place to begin with, and with all that was nightmare done to them -- do you think the US did the right thing?
