All of this speculation about what type of tank was seen where is off point. The point should be, that against the rule of law, the US Government is placing US Military troops on the streets of America to police and enforce the law. This cannot be allowed to happen. The rule of law must extend to all...no exceptions or it has been rendered impotent.

The founding fathers understood very well the potential for abuse of power if the military was allowed to engage in these policing duties. Given that the military industrial complex has so much power (that they were never meant to have), does anyone trust that they will do their job with the utmost regard for the civilian population? Individuals may, but the system as a whole is rotten to the core as we all should know.

I stress in the strongest possible terms, that something needs to be done immediately about this rise of a fascist military state that is slowly being assembled in the US today. If nothing is done, you may wake up one morning and find yourself living in a Nazi style western nightmare.

No, the speculation about the tank is exactly the point. 99% of what people are seeing and getting all worked up over is probably either routine stuff or perfectly explainable. It's those kind of posts that keep most of you paranoid about things that are perfectly normal. And I as still wondering, Whitewave, how a tank would roll down a main street in Norman and not tear up the pavement. Anyway, my point is that people post links to some article that promotes their particular conspiracy theory, and then everyone else starts piling on with their own personal "sightings". Look, I was in New Orleans right after Katrina, and I can tell you that the National Guard was able to do things that the regular Army couldn't do, specifically because of Posse Comitatus. Heck, the 82nd Airborne units that were there barely even had any ammunition. They were reduced to clearing debris and cleaning up the streets for the most part. Someone earlier said it best, American troops have been on US soil for a couple hundred years, because they are Americans. Where else do you think they should be when they aren't in Iraq or Afghanistan?

Well a water main broke on Berry and Lindsey so maybe they DID tear up the street.

I'm going to call BS on this one.

Where I live there are a few Military bases around and there is absolutely nothing strange or out of the ordinary going on around here, and if they were "gearing up" to drop the hammer it would be a mad house around this place.

After that whole Mock Interview with Charlie Sheen and Obama, I don't know why people take Jones seriously anymore. Not to mention how many other times has he said, "This is real folks, get ready". That is like his tag line or whatever.

Yeah I wasn't quite sure of an apaches seating capacity besides what I see in flight sims and the sort. In hindsight the helicopter I saw had an open bay that looked like it could seat 4-6 people, which probably renders it not an apache, but an attack helicopter nontheless. Of course im using that term in ignorance, because im not quite sure, however it had a large turret on the ventral of the chopper. Although Blackhawks aren't a rare sight here either. My thought process was more along the lines that if Apaches are let loose for training and preperation then sure enough the older more abundant vehicles for carrying troops, such as the blackhawk, would be used as well in civil unrest. The two used together would provide a very unfair advantage to the military if used against civilians. Of course everything is speculation until they are in action.

Here's the thing... when you read some of those comments on prison planet... a lot of them want the catastrophe to just start already.

To me that says... GET A LIFE. If you are so bored that you want global collapse to get you off the couch... you need a new hobby!

If it happens, when it happens because even a stopped clock is right twice a day, and someday the warning will match the event by sheer chance... but it's not going to be an amazing rush and then back to business as usual with just a great story to tell after 3 days.

It's going to be uncomfortable to say the least. I wonder how many people on prison planet have traveled. When you do, you appreciate that the @$#@ hasn't hit the fan and you don't ever want it to. You also appreciate "some" controls in prevention of chaos. You see that soldiers are people just like rioters and homeless and policemen.

Have prison planet posters ever lived where life means...

- Stuff you want is not on the shelves
- Annoying family must move in close and together
- Dirty water only for washing and drinking
- Smelly, filthy streets
- High theft levels every time you step out
- Sick and dying kids in many many families
- Rare and inconstant access to electricity

If anybody is praying for a jolt to kickstart their life on a useful path... THERE IS NO NEED and YOU'RE NOT ALONE.

There are RIGHT NOW pockets of crisis and desperation in every community, and there are thousands of nonprofit workers who get off on diving in and dealing with crisis... one drug addict, cancer patient, climate change at a time.

But there is something wonderful to being able, at the end of the day, in going home and relaxing. And about going on ATS and seeing who is even worse off.

But WTSHTF - that won't be an option. Ask people (locals and soldiers alike) in Iraq. That 24/7 stress isn't something I wish on anybody and certainly not on the poor teenage innocents posting on prison planet. I wish they'd zip it and save up even for only a 2 week trip to India.

It will cure all and it will make you so in love with flicking a light switch and pizza delivery and DSL and the toilet flush... ahhhhhh

Hi Bombeni. I haven't seen any increase in the amount of military personnel but we do have Tinker Air Force Base about 20 miles away so there's always some guys in fatigues around.

Have been wasting most of my free time today looking online for that particular type of tank I saw in Norman. Apparently you have to know what it's called or classified as to be able to go right to a site for it. *sigh*

Did find an invitation for some guys to get together and show off their military vehicles that's coming up next month. I can't imagine that the vehicle I saw is one that some retired vet would have in his garage but ya never know. Plus, last Thursday seems a little early to show up for an event that isn't until October 3rd. Anyway, here's the invite:

M813A1
Sergeant Major
M813A1's Profile Fields

"Default Oklahoma SS Workday / Chow Run
The OKC Convoy Chapter of Steel Soldiers orders your presents at the 1st Annual Fall Oklahoma MV Motorpool
Workday / Chowrun. Has Been Scheduled for OCT. 3rd !!!

We we will rendezvous at Streetbike Depot in Tuttle, OK for a Show, Shine and
General Maintenance day. It would be a Good time to put some ideas out about a Holiday Convoy ??
Also we can get some Game watching time too!!

Later in the day we will Convoy via State Highway 92 to Amber, OK, for chow
at Ken's Mess Hall (Ken's Steakhouse).

The Motorpool opens at 10:00 hrs and the Chow run will be 16:30 hrs. Early arrivals are welcome.

Bring you own supplies !! I am Looking forward to seeing everyone !! If you plan on showing add your name to the bottom of the, Confirmation List :!! Guys lets get a big turnout, it would nice to see everyone !!!

Everyone is Welcomed to join in the Fun !!!"

So if you Okies see a convoy of assorted military vehicles going down Hwy. 92 on Oct. 3rd you'll know what it is.

I don't know what the one going down Lindsey street was all about.

Is this what you saw?

That is an M113 personnel carrier, which are still floating around in military service, but have mostly been replaced by the Bradley Fighting Vehicle. I actually confirmed that one of these was in Norman last week, but don't know what for. However, considering that you could actually buy one if you have enough money, I wouldn't get too worked up over the whole thing.

Dude, everytime it rains hard in Norman, a water main breaks and campus gets flooded, especially on Lindsey street. I grew up there, I would know.

I'm in San Francisco and I can say that I haven't seen any military activity what-so-ever. Not even when I was down south in Los Angeles and Orange County. But if troops started rolling tanks down the streets here, I can tell you right now that these people would NOT stand for it. We love our city and we'll defend it.

Akron University just opened there new football stadium a few weekends ago. I was told there were soldiers parachuted on the field. Im sure the crowd went crazy loving it. I will def speak up if I see them on the streets. Life is not as valuable as freedom.

Soldiers parachute into events all the time! I have seen this at FSU games on many occasions. One of my friends sons is in the "Golden Knights." He parachuted into Sturgis a couple of times, and other events.

Still, if you see the military on the street, ask them what is going on. See why they are in your town all of a sudden?

Something I forgot to point out earlier is that it is the end of the fiscal year. Some of you who are suddenly seeing more uniformed people hanging around in towns that may not be near big military bases may in fact be seeing National Guard and Army Reserve soldiers that are brought onto temporary duty. Units all over the country do this to use up money. It's a lot less sinister, and a lot more plain old waste really. Anyway, if you happen to see uniformed people at the local Git n Split, that could very well be the reason.

Read every single one of those Executive Orders, while thinking of possible reasons for the occurence of 9/11. Seems like the FEMA expected a massive chaos to rupture the public, and therefore declare a state of domestic emergency?

Looks like that plan didnt work

oh yeah, Nazi Germany.

Well, that is the mistake almost everyone in this Forum makes!
Hitler didn't create fear in order to maintain stability, Hitler created a "feel good-Dictatorship". Germany didn't get liberated, it got occupied and their population received an American brainwash. Everyone questions everything in this forum except the official story of WW2.

Hitler didn't have to create the fear. All of his predecessors and the first World War created the fear.

Hitler had the wonderful opportunity and foresight to place the blame for the fear on one specific group! He united his people around a common enemy! He empowered his people to feel like they were making things better!

Now, with that in mind, do you think a US leader could do something similar at this juncture? All the while continuing the erosion of our civil rights, and passing new legislation to limit our personal freedoms, and restrict our opportunities to defend ourselves? And do it in the name of Change? And Patriotism? And convince the majority that we are all doing our part to help our communities, and save the world?

The Alinsky plan is already in full force, and it is accelerated beyond Hitler's wildest dream! Now, we just need one event to unite us against one enemy! It could be Muslims, or Global Warming, it doesn't matter, it just has to be catastrophic and have a catchy name!!

Bottom line is that we are being conditioned to "yawn" at this sort of activity as if it's just another day in America when military personnel stop you in your vehicle and ask you for identification.

Apparently, the conditioning is working just peachy. Everything is going according to plan...case in point--You're reaction.

I'm just conditioned to use common sense and not scare people into pointing at the sky when people say that it's falling.

I think some people here enjoy scaring others because it gives them a sense of power. They like to get a rise out of the "me toos". The more I read from certain people, the more I think this is true.

I think people in a state of emotional instability are easier to panic and many of those people are drawn to sites like ATS because of the camaraderie they find here. Like minded people and all that.

Since Obama has become president, and even a little bit before that, I've seen dire predictions of what's going on and honestly, I haven't seen too much proof of actual events. Almost all anecdotal or heresay.

remember, they are American's too, unless the elite have promised a few shills on the roster to round up the usurpers in exchange for a few "credits" on their nifty new bracelets with RFID chips which come in "666" smooth, fruity, frothy, flavors.... MMMMM!!!!!

I work on the 7th floor of a 15 story building over-looking a major highway in Dallas.

I saw at least 4 military convoys in the last month going by. Each one had about 30 vehichles including flatbeds w/tarps covering other vehichles.

I've also noticed more military aircraft in the air recently than I ever have.

Granted there are several military outlets in DFW, but still makes you wonder.

Good point. I believe the majority of our military men and women would not follow orders that would have a negative impact on ordinary, law-abiding U.S. citizens. If TPTB understand this, they would need to use foreign military / U.N. troops to do their dirty work.

Unless...

Would they also desensitize our troops for domestic use? Test how far they can push their limit?
