The US went into Iraq and Afghanistan largely to contain Iran For better or worse the West has decided the Saudis have the upper hand. As the hope was Saddam would be overthrown by his own people, the ideal is for an uprising in Iran to topple the Mullahs and Mr A.

Iran has looked at what North Korea gets away with on moving the nuclear issue forward despite reprimands. A bad model - North Korea isn't important. Were Iran to apply logical self-preservation they'd de-escalate the tension. But they do the opposite. Meaning they're running on emotion and religious fervour rather than common sense.

The way most of the world, even Russia sees the situation "They're asking for it."

Theocracies make for terrible governments and disastrous foreign policies.

Hope none of this comes to pass.

I hope none of this comes pass either. But, you're right, I can definitely see the Saudis giving Israel a green light. The Arab world has little love for the Persians.
I hope to God Israel does not do it. It would be the worst thing they could do to themselves. Even if they killed not one human being while pulling off the attack, they would be screwed.

Brzezinski is Obamas boss, He groomed Obama from day one in public office. Him saying this will infuriate the Israelis as it has me. Obama is being buds with our long time enemies and dissing our allies. Honduras ring a bell.

The very first mistake I saw was the statement that Israelis should not be allowed to traverse "OUR" airspace.

Iraqi airspace is not US airspace, therefore, the US has no business shooting down any foreign planes over IRAQI airspace unless they are first attacked.

Israel will NOT follow an anticipated line of approach. They're smarter than that.

They may not attack at all. (yeah, right.)

Regardless, in the event Israeli strikes Iran, it will not set off this multi-country war many uninformed seem to fear so badly.

Who, exactly, will be warring against who? The truth is, if Iran is struck, Russia and China have a great business opportunity to go in and fix things.

Besides. The Israelis never, ever forgot about Russia. With a considerable pipeline into and out of Russia, there's no telling what's already in place in Russia.

And Iran.

And many, many other Arab countries.

To launch a missile strike, UAV, or air strike is to be anticipated.

To launch cruise missiles from tramp steamers just off the coast is to be unanticipated.

To merely detonate devices already in country is to be unanticipated.

Israel will NOT be anticipated.

Mass murder, at nuclear facilities? Someone doesn't know their history. Israel broke its back not to kill civilians during the raids on the Iraqi, then Syrian nuclear facilities. You think their plan is to just drop nuclear bombs on population centers?

I have a better idea, let the Israeli Air Force take out the Iranian Nuclear sites, while the American Air Force TAKES OUT ISRAEL'S NUCLEAR SITES!

Iran would have no reason to then retaliate against us, and a war mongering and genocidal Israeli State will be Nuclear dis-Armed in the process.

If we time it right, by the time the Israeli Air Force starts it's return trip we can knocn them out of the sky.

Iran won't have nuclear weapons, Israel won't have nuclear weapons, none of the other world powers can complain...it's a fair quid, pro, quo.

We lock up all the criminals from AIPAC, disband Homeland Security, kick all the dual Israeli U.S. Citizens out of Government and arrest them for the spies that they truly are.

I think they know this. If anything, I tend to believe that the Israelis, in the interest of either self-defense or revenge, will have significant assets on the ground in Iran.

I do not see them following any anticipated line of approach.

Dooper the reality is that Israel has no intention of attacking Iran...Israel wouldn't broadcast it. They would just do it. They never broadcast these things like this.

In fact it is us who is pressuring them to attack Iran and they are paying a price for having not done it.

We let a key vote proceed against them in the U.N. for the first time in two decades this past Friday.

This is about putting the Shah's son back on the Throne.

Israel doesn't want to take the chance of fighting what is in essence a three front possibly four front war. Hamas out of the West Bank, Hizbollah out of Lebanon, Iranian rockets over head, and the Syrians rushing up the Golan.

The Islamic World will pitch a fit if we go for a third country so we are making Israel do it, and Israel is trying real hard to find a way not to do it.

Oh and by the way we never had a problem with any of those nations before we started supporting Israel and letting them run our foreign policy and their agents infiltrate our government left and right.

Read the CIA declassified documents on the subject and get a real clue.

Sorry but the reality is that Israel attacked the U.S.S. Liberty, Israel has attacked U.S. Diplomats in Operation Susana, and there is a very high possibility Israel was behind 9-11 too.

America can't afford to keep worrying about Semetic sensibilities while Israeli Agents have infiltrated every sensitive area of American Government and Technology.
