So, when is this sunspot going to take place?

Source? Besides, the ham radio's.

Infact,

I have been listening to the 'chatter' for several years now (Worldwide), to the point that it's almost 'mainstream' within the Ham community that 2012 is being eagerly anticipated.

2012 is calculated to be the Sunspot #24 Maximum where HF DX should be quite literally unbelievable. (from a Radio point of view, if nothing else)

QRP (low power - less than 10 watts carrier power) Worldwide communications (Cw, Ssb) is more than possible, even portable/Handheld FT-817 etc) especially during the Winter months (September - March) peaking December 21st 2012?

Just my own personal comments, from my knowledge.

Peace,

BLUE ARMS

Notice the 'daily-average' of #24 is BIGGER than the HIGHEST #23 peaks.

Also the Sunspot cycle appears very "TimeWave Zero" esque

Is this thread in code? I'm reading along and thinking to myself "WTH are they talking about". So, I'll go get educated on ham radio and frequencies and such because I should have paid attention sooner and since you guys aren't going to share in a language we can all understand.

From your linky I discovered the answers to unlock the mystery of the OP code.

Geomagnetic radiation, Solar Storms can cause devestating effects on transformers for an example and a wide range of other electrical and electronics systems.

Please download the 36 page .PDF document "Solar Storm Disaster Preparedness Plan" you may find of interest. The document does make for some very interesting reading about what can happen if there is a devastating Solar Storm, a kind of worst case scenario but one that is very plausable.

Have you downloaded and read the .pdf yet? Just curious and if you have what is your take on it?

That website is obsolete. It appears to be about two years old.
Current predictions are that solar cycle #24 will peak in May of 2013 and will have fewer than average sunspots.

May 8, 2009 -- Solar Cycle 24 Prediction Update The Solar Cycle 24 Prediction Panel has reached a consensus decision on the prediction of the next solar cycle (Cycle 24). First, the panel has agreed that solar minimum occurred in December, 2008. This still qualifies as a prediction since the smoothed sunspot number is only valid through September, 2008. The panel has decided that the next solar cycle will be below average in intensity, with a maximum sunspot number of 90. Given the predicted date of solar minimum and the predicted maximum intensity, solar maximum is now expected to occur in May, 2013. Note, this is a consensus opinion, not a unanimous decision. A supermajority of the panel did agree to this prediction.

Looks like this is to be taken seriously????

Maybe all the 2012 Mayan/'___'/TimeWave/Sunspot hype is exactly that,

The Sun going Mental.

The end of the last Sunspot Cycle #23 has just finished and start of Cycle #24 has just started in the Summer 2007.
ukradiodx.com...

Besides saying "just started", both statements are incorrect.

Hehe, ok, I must ask you , Why are you here at ATS? you seem to think there is nothing wrong in the world ??

The Maya say the sun is going into its 6th cycle, ' The Birth of the 6th Sun', and as we know, a birth is a viollent and painful experience !!!

The weather here on earth is an reflection of the Sun , so if the sun is going Woohoo, so are we.. Just look around , unless you are stuck inside a bunker, you'd see the changes, which is what I think , since you never see any change any where...
I am just asking !!!

I don't think nothing is wrong in the world.
I don't think everything is wrong in the world either.
The Sun is not going WooHoo.
