Atleast it looks that way in some cases.
This is an pretty amazing story, dont you think ??

Heart Surgeon tells of Resurrection from the Dead
At World Doctors Conference, Heart Surgeon Relates Astounding Account -
of a Resurrection from the Dead.

Dr. Chauncey W. Crandall IV

"We quickly rushed the gentleman down to the intensive care unit, and the hospital was by now buzzing about the fact that a dead man had been brought back to life. After a couple of days he woke up. He had an amazing story to tell after I had asked him, 'Where have you been and where were you on that day that you had that massive heart attack? You were gone and we prayed you back to life in Jesus name.'"

Dan Wooding/TN (July 18, 2007)

(MIAMI, FL)—The audience of 120 doctors from 50 countries sat in stunned silence as a renowned heart doctor produced evidence of how, after he had prayed for a patient who had died and was being prepared for the morgue, was brought back to life after prayer.

Dr. Chauncey W. Crandall IV, who serves at the Palm Beach Cardiovascular Clinic in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, made his dramatic presentation on Friday, July 13th at the 4th Annual World Christian Doctors Network Conference in Miami, Florida.

He produced dramatic evidence that was shown on the screen and then, afterwards, agreed to tell the story to Assist News Service in an interview with Dan Wooding.

The following is the interview as conducted by Dan:

Dr. Crandall began by saying that the dramatic incident took place almost a year ago in West Palm Beach, Florida. "We had a fifty-three year old man who came to the emergency room with a massive heart attack and actually his heart had stopped," he said. "The medical people had worked on him for over forty minutes in the emergency room and then declared him dead.

"They called me in to evaluate the patient towards the end of his treatment where they had unsuccessfully tried to revive him. The nurse was preparing his body to be taken down to the morgue when the Holy Spirit told me to 'turn around and pray for that man.' When the Holy Spirit talks to you, you have to respond. It's sometimes a quiet voice and this was a quiet voice and to honor the Lord I did turn around and I went to the side of that stretcher where his body was being prepared.

"There was no life in the man. His face and feet and arms were completely black with death and I sat next to his body and I prayed, 'Lord, Father; how am I going to pray for this man? He's dead. What can I do?' All of a sudden, these words came out of my mouth, 'Father, God, I cry out for the soul of this man if he does not know You as his Lord and Savior, please raise him from the dead right now in Jesus name.

I am deeply, deeply dubious of this story. My BS Detector is off the chart. It's hard to even imagine that people talk in the way the article describes. Mighty Miracles! and the Light of the Lord! Is he a Doctor or Don King?

Totally agree dude, yet more xtian propaganda BS to convince the sheeple next Sunday at church.

We can observe that the surgeon never questions how jesus can allegedly raise the dead as good as a paramedic but, not regenerate an amputated limb even though he's supposed to be a god.

We have to remember that perfectly good scientists can be indoctrinated with the jesus delusion and rationalize their way through med school.

*Mod Edit: No need for the crass joke. Cheers -alien

Just more BS from more religiously inclined people.

Something can actually not be fully understood that is medical involving brain chemicals still active in the brain after the body has shut down, without having to claim anything mystical.

What do jesus, viagra and a defibrillator have in common ?

There is evidence for 2 of them raising the dead the other sucks the life out of the living.

Nice joke!

Maybe this guy is a crap doctor, we can't assume that he's a good doctor on the basis that good doctors may become indoctrinated. Actually can anybody give examples of good doctors who are extremely religious like this?? Are there any??!

I'm always curious about experiences and the such like this but as others said after reading the article it just sounded propagandish to me.

Which kind of sucks I was hoping for something pretty good.

Hehehe!

You gotta love Christian propaganda! I wouldn't be surprised if there was a statue of the virgin mary on the bed side table crying tears of blood too!

Well in all fairness there are good doctors that happen to be Muslim so I suppose it all depends on your definition of good.

To some people a doctor that simply listens is a good doctor.

Wonder if this story would've gotten a different reaction from peoples' BS meters without even looking into it if the doctor would've been Buddhist, or Muslim, or even an atheist?

Tell that to the guy in jail after praying for his daughters recovery instead of seeking medical attention.

We don't fully understand the human body, so jumping to the conclusion that God is involved when something amazing happens is a bit of a stretch. I agree that this story is BS.

Hi Chem/

Wonderful Article.

To unbelievers...God works in mysterious ways and not all Miracles or things of the unexplained are always identical.
My cousin passed away from cancer a few years ago...he didn't believe in God throughout his life and neither did his father(who also passed away one year before)during his last days he accepted his death as it was what god wanted...if he had gotton better, he would have continued living his life in unbelief,so he said it was the right time that God chose that he 'suffer' and die with even that little faith.
Gods Mercy is much greater then we think!
God certainly works in mysterious ways and people just dont get it!
Maybe some should read the LIVES of Saints and Elders of the desert to see how great God works miracles that we pass down as total rubbish!

If the Doctor was an atheist praying to God and describing the guy going to Hell, my BS Detector would be damaged beyond repair.

Yeah, me too, I simply cannot believe this story. I have seen death, and when the exterminates begin to turn black from lack of blood flow, and the brain is deprived of blood, the person is not coming back to life, no matter how many prayers are said. If this were a true story, the MSN would have been all over it, Rev. Sharpton and J. Jackson would have been there to put the official Christian seal on it, and the Catholics would have declared a miracle. This is just another attempt to push Christianity. The "Holy Spirit" the doctor spoke of? We all have it! It is our Immortal Soul. Don't let the Christians think they have a lock on the soul, and than they are the only en-souled beings walking this world.

Are people calling BS to the guy coming back to life after he should've been past the point of resuscitation, or to the doctor saying it was an act of God, or to both?

If this were an atheist doctor saying a man was resuscitated way past the point of resuscitation, and had no explanation for it, would you call BS to it?

Here is another story..

"Dead" man wakes up under autopsy knife
CARACAS (Reuters) - A Venezuelan man who had been declared dead woke up in the morgue in excruciating pain after medical examiners began their autopsy.
Carlos Camejo, 33, was declared dead after a highway accident and taken to the morgue, where examiners began an autopsy only to realize something was amiss when he started bleeding. They quickly sought to stitch up the incision on his face.

"I woke up because the pain was unbearable," Camejo said, according to a report on Friday in leading local newspaper El Universal.

His grieving wife turned up at the morgue to identify her husband's body only to find him moved into a corridor -- and alive.

Reuters could not immediately reach hospital officials to confirm the events. But Camejo showed the newspaper his facial scar and a document ordering the autopsy.

Amazing things happen all the time. People have ben declared dead before and come back to life. There was that toddler that was underwater for over an hour and recovered without serious brain damage.

I don't think we can claim God is responsible for these "miracles" just because we don't know how they happen.

I think the doctor saying it was an act of God is BS, and they are just slightly exaggerating the condition of the "dead guy". Although I do believe he appeared very dead.

I found another one, is Heaven too crowded, or does he needs his people down here !

'Dead' baby wakes before funeral
The baby's family say they are angry at the hospital

A premature baby declared dead by doctors at a hospital in Paraguay was found to be alive hours later when he was taken home for a funeral wake.

Jose Alvarenga said he had discovered his son was alive after he heard crying from the box in which he was placed.

The baby is now back at the same hospital's intensive care unit and reported to be in a stable condition.

The head of paediatric care at the hospital said a doctor had not properly checked the infant's vital signs.

"This is a very unusual case," Ernesto Weber told the AFP news agency, adding that an investigation into the incident would be carried out.

A doctor who works at the hospital's maternity unit said staff had tried to revive the baby for an hour before declaring him dead.

"His pulse was so low that it was undetectable," Aida Notario said.

According to medical records, the baby weighed only 500g (17.6oz).

The smallest on record was an American baby who weighed just 280g (10oz), born at less than 22 weeks.

I'm calling BS only to this particular story because of how badly it was presented. I'm saying what is being claimed is not exactly what happened. People die and come back all the time and very very rare cases of extended death and coming back have also happened.

However there was only small amounts of actual detail and a large number of faith based statements. Then it was kept quiet for what 2 years? and then talked about only at a Christian Dr.'s conference? Hard to believe because skeptics would have aired this and did everything to either disprove it or come up with an explanation of what happened.

Not to mention anyone seeing this (staff or other patients) no matter their belief it would have spread like wild fire through word of mouth and got to main stream media very quickly and chances are it would have been aired with interviews of the Dr. and skeptics.

If a Cheetos that looks like the virgin Mary makes it on CNN this would have easily made front page news every where.

Edit: I should reply I'm no atheist but just don't believe this one story. I have had my own experiences (2) so I know what happens or can happen along with what skeptics say about it. I'm usually the first one after telling my stories to someone to say "Hey maybe it was just neuron's misfiring in my brain the second time but why chance it especially if it hurts no one?" just to throw the skeptics off before they tout off their opinion as I've heard it all.

I'm suspicious of the account, however I'm calling BS that a prayer brought the man back to life. I was also poking fun at your using an atheist as an example in a situation heavily dependent on God, Hell and prayers.
