Thanks for the Gold nugget you provided!
It is important to remember, that we are just typing words into this stream on ATS. You can scroll past the junk.
But yes, it does get frustrating, dealing with the 10th topic on a Kenyan birth certificate.
>> The problem isn't JUST "teaching" new people. It's that this type is NOT here to learn. They are the Cow Bird, that lays its egg in another
birds nest and it crowds out the occupants.
Not to be too political -- I voted for Obama after all knowing the whole time that he wasn't going to be a LOT of change -- but while we get
distracted by nonsense on topics -- much like we used to argue about wether Ronald Reagan colored his hair while we are invading Granada for no
discernible reason. Real issues get snuck under the table.
Sure I'm FOR some healthcare reform -- I'd prefer Single Payer, but the discussion is hijacked for nonsense about hospice care becoming "Kill your
grandparents." Really, I wouldn't know if the "reform" were another Wall Street level bailout and we are all getting ripped off.
We CAN be teachers and we CAN be patient -- with people of a genuine interest. But if you let the Cow Birds crowd out real conversation -- you will
end up chasing the lowest common denominator as we've seen on Network Television. Eventually, those numbers will go down. And once there is no longer
anyone to feed the Cow Birds -- they will fly away and "flock up" some other site in massive numbers.
Some of these people are corporate paid -- to over-represent some interest group trying to rip off the public, and some are just the fools that follow
-- thinking that belief will absolve them of responsibility.
Some of you will get what I'm saying and some of you won't.
We BOTH need to be above the fray, but we need someway of removing the flagrant de-railer of topics. Perhaps a limit on the number of times a week a
certain TYPE of topic comes up? Some sort of judgement call.
Even when there were really wacky ideas here -- I was OK with it, it was fun. And I was OK with the NO negative comments. If someone thinks there is
an alien naval blockade, then we could talk strategy of how to get around it -- without me ever actually believing the premise to begin with. I don't
believe in chem trails, I don't believe that MOST UFO sightings are for real, but I do believe 911 was an inside job and I do believe in the PTB
manipulating markets and ripping off the middle class to herd us all into some vision of dystopia that puts them on top. You take what you can get
when you are NOT following the MSM.
But these corporate lackeys -- I've seen them on every blog on the web. They never shut up, they never learn. They repeat the same points over and
over and they are either morons or they are paid. You cannot convert them because they are only here for one reason.
