If I lived in a wooded secluded area, I would get myself a couple of dogs to patrol the property. A Belgian Shepherd can be lethal. An Alaskan Malamute makes for an excellent guard dog - they hear everything. A PitBull can kill on command. German Shepherds can be trained to attack on command. You don't need guns, you need man's best friend.

and being as far from that side of the house as possible.

If you have a gun now is a good time to lock n' load, lock all the
doors and windows, but try to stay low and do not linger in front
of windows and if you can navigate your house in the dark turn
off the lights so they do not see your silhouette in the windows.

If you don't have a gun, then you are SOL if they enter.

I agree a hundred percent. We have an Alaskan Malamute and a German Shepherd that are both trained guard dogs and both weigh over 120 pounds each. We have an Appenzeller Mountain dog that weighs in at a lot less but can hear a deer in the woods a block away.

Nothing like mans best friend.

Yes, I have an Alaskan Malamute as well. She's not the Giant one, but she still weighs around 90 pounds and is not shy about tackling you with her large claws. I can swear she hears things before they happen. When the SHTF, instead of ducking under tables, send out the dogs and let them take care of business. I trust the dog more than I trust myself with a firearm.

Look! Whether or not you believe me is your problem not mine I have more important things on my mind! I did call the police a second time mine, was the 12 call they received and the 6th visit they made to the surrounding streets. They know something is up!

They told me they have five cars in the neighborhood and they are blacked out.
Most of the houses are completely pitch and have been for about an hour now!

The cops are trying to isolate the location of the gunfire!!

Most people know me here, and know I would not make up such a ridiculous story statement if it were not true! I don't need that kind of attention. I'm in the business of saving lives not wasting the time of law enforcement.

As for me being on ATS! I needed something to distract me from the fear! I have reached out before and this is the kind of community you can feel comfortable in doing so.

To those of you who are concerned about mine and my families safety, thank you!! I think we will be fine.
