This is nothing compared to what is going to happen when certain information about Barack Hussein Obama is released. I honestly do not know how this happened unless it was allowed to happen. As far as it being planned, the odds are against it unless Obama is the Antichrist himself. A few weeks ago I met with an old friend of my grandfather and we talked for a while about many things, on a finishing note, he mentioned that and I quote, " This whole Obama thing started as a joke or some kinda test just to see what the reaction of the people would be, I guess the joke is on us." end quote.

Imagine this, He campaigns to get test results of the public, they end up being overwhelming, he is not vetted or eligible to even hold the office of POTUS and the DEM know this in advance. They say run with and see waht happens.

They all said on election days end, " I really thought we would lose." I hope we can pull this off for 4 years.

This is what happened in my opinion and now the staples are popping out left and right.

When all of the people find out and start protesting, it will be like nothing you have seen before.

Like I have said many times before, ( YOU CAN NOT MESS WITH THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AND GET AWAY WITH IT! )

Soon, THE U.S. CONSTITUTION WILL BEAR IT'S TRUE POWER AND SCOLD, PUNISH AND REMOVE TPTB WHO ABUSED AND IGNORED IT.

Isn't Medicare, Medicade, and the Vet administration
really ALREADY socialized medicine?

Funny how the people that are already insured by our government
are the ones protesting so hard...

Yes, and they are pooly run, I wouldn't brag about Medicare, Medicade or veterans care.

BTW I have no insurance of any kind., I am 60.

If Obama has his way, they will kick me to the curb, "bye bye grandmaw you served your purpose, time to die."

Its a crock.

The whole thing is coordinated by the GOP and their allies...the same people who orchestrated the "spontanous" tea parties.

The right has begun resorting to politics via mobs...if this doesn't disturb you nothing will.

I respectfully disagree....From what I have been seeing and reading, it doesn't matter what side of the political spectrum the protesters are falling on.

I see average American citizens being fed up with how the politicians are constantly trying to force feed what does not seem to be wanted by the general public, from the stimulus packages to the current health care bill.

What's a crock in my opinion are the politicians like Boxer (I think it was her) resorting to childish comments like how they were dressed and Pelosi saying they were holding signs with swastikas...
What's also a crock is how protests that help the dems cause are always welcomed, yet when it goes against what they want it's a "set-up"...
What's a crock is encouraging people to snitch on their fellow citizens, and so on and so forth...

Just my 2 cents.

Organized? Really?

Do you want to see what that really means?

I started this because I guess it just got missed as I could not find it anywhere. It's a little complicated, but the overall is not that hard to see it.

Unfortunately it seems that most of the people aren't worried about anything except this one thing that is important but also a distraction. We get it, socialism bad, no government health care (obama is masquerading as a socialist but is actually a police state loving power hungry fascist). I'm not convinced the majority are really awake to the bigger issues like the fed and banksters running the country into the ground. There are problems such as coverage for non-taxpaying illegals and government power over another aspect of society. While the bill is quite possibly bad, it is not the main problem we have in this country.

The problem I have is the corrupt politicians dismissing everyone's concerns as illegitimate and wrong, as well as implying they aren't even real but staged. They aren't paid to think for us, they are paid to listen to and carry out our wishes.

It is ironic they blame special interests for this uprising when total control over our lives would tend to favor the globalist moneymakers. Maybe ironic is the wrong word, maybe I'm looking for intentional.

The good news is that as people see what scumbags many of them are, this may lead to a wider awakening to the fact that this government is controlled by those who don't have our interests at heart.

This is no "citizen" uprising. This rude behavior is well orchestrated by the neocons in union with corporate America (and especially the health insurance giants). Err, by the way you hypocrites, just say no medicare when your time rolls around (and any other 'social' help that may come your way). Hypocrites!

[edit on 7-8-2009 by whatsup]

Medicare is paid for by FICA taxes taken out of our paychecks, specifically for that purpose.

That doesn't mean that the money gets USED for that, but we pay for it, it's not welfare.

Go read a book.

I wonder how many of those people protesting already have health insurance? I bet the majority of them do. As for myself a small business owner, I don't. Why? Well as a single adult of 34 years of age I cannot afford it....... After taxes, utilites, INSURANCE,mortgage, I myself am strapped for cash every month.

My employer provided (family) coverage costs me 55.00 a week

$238 a month averaged.

BC/BS quoted me an individual policy (family) with better coverage than my existing policy for $315 a month.

I am 33 with spouse and 2 kids.

Single coverage would be even less.

Just saying maybe you need to look into it a little harder.

BINGO!!! You are exactly right, my friend.

Hilary was the one vetted for the Dems, Obama was a rouse, meant to sway more voted into the Dem's arena.

They (the Democrats) studied the reactions of people in the last few elections, and guess what? They were shocked when they discovered just how many African-Americans voted for Bush.

They played their cards, they literally USED Obama (and he was aware of this) to try to bring back a majority of the voters they've lost in recent past.

Only, they were blind-sided by incredible support and following that Obama created.

This is EXACTLY the reason that O had to hurry and sign up for Selective Service in August 2008, and take a last minute trip in November (right before the election date) to Hawaii, and also why so much was allotted for his legal Dream Team to keep what's hidden, hidden.

Hilary was the REAL Democrat candidate. Hasn't anyone wondered why it is that Obama has all...ALL of Clinton's staff and goons in administration?

It will come out, it will be discovered. They did a pretty good job covering it up, but they had to do it so quickly that I'm sure some holes were left open. Now, they (the Dem PTB) are back-stepping, trying to get it all.

They won't get it all. It will be discovered. He will be discovered.

It just sucks that so many of us are going to be left so divided and angry with each other, when it's the Democrats and the Clintons that we just be focusing on.

Sure lets be hypothetical and say I got insurance for 90dollars a month which is lol. Add to that the $200+ in electric, the $600+ in basic insurance(car, liabilty, homeowners) My mortgage, food, water, gas, fuel oil, phone, internet. All in all I can barely get by each month with these bills then ok lets add the 4k a year school tax and the 3k a year property tax and then income tax..... You see where I am coming from. BTW I live in new york state everything is more expensive here. Not to mention the econmomy sux, everyone is outa work in my field construction. I am lucky if I make 400 bucks a week. The last thing I need is another 100+ dollar a month bill. It is not as easy as you may think for some people.

Where was the right wing protests when they bailed out the banks? Where were they when our rights to privacy were usurped? Where were they when all the American families are being thrown in the street because they had an interest rate of 6% go to 10-12% and couldnt afford it anymore when the banks could have just put them back to what everyone else is paying and they would have been fine?

Where were you when all our jobs got bled overseas?

Why now when something as simple as healthcare for the average citizen that every other developed nation has?

Because the right are brainwashed by corporate
America.

What happened to the moderates like myself? Are we extinct?

We’re “damned if we do and damned if we don’t” .... resisting TPTB that is.

I’m currently applying the Mahatma Gandhi model of passive resistance in various forms (e.g. not paying income taxes, not owning a car, not watching TV, spreading the word, purchasing as little as possible, etc.).

But I sense there may be a day in America, when I will have to replace my stance of passive resistance, with a stance of GUERRILLA RESISTANCE.

On that day I’ll be "damned if I do," because I’m certainly not going to be "damned if I don’t."

Just look at Canada, our healthcare is free. There is also private care if you have the money. Granted, we may have to wait for superficial cases but everybody still gets treated as long as there's a spare heart or lung and they're not addicts who've destroyed their bodies beyond longterm repair.

Public health care is one of the services that should remain free, because no matter what the naysayers say, it can be affordable, as long as the system is well organized, it will have heart which is more than any middleman insurance system can offer.

I live in Alberta and I hate the public system. I spent 12 hours strapped to a gourney waiting to be seen by a doctor after being taken to the hospital by Ambulance. The hospital was too busy seeing bar fight victims to handle real emergencies so they made the ambulance crew hold onto me till they had a space for me. Each hour the docor would come and put another needle of morphine into the IV bag and then walk to the next patient. This kept us asleep and quite. The only reason I got into the doctor when I did was because I stopped breathing from the overdose of morphine I had recieved. Then I recieved an emergency "temp" repair for my problem and was told that I shouldn't walk or lift anything for the 9 months it would be until I could get the permanent fix. Canadian health care is free but it isn't great and the waits will kill you.

If the government thinks they have the right to decide how much money they take from your paycheck, they've already decided that your entire paycheck belongs to them.

After the stack of taxes are taken from our paychecks, from every $10 taxes take $4. In California sales tax takes 10% of the $6 left.

Governments should sponsor pay raises since they get a 50% cut. It's worse than the mafia.

Very good discussion and well put together thread. What I want to know is, if the protesters and senior citizens who are cornering the elected officials from their districts and actually holding them accountable are angry mobs that are manufactured by the insurance companies then I must ask what the hell are the Union members also showing up to these functions to stifle other Americans FREEDOM of speech. Just waiting for Garofalo to somehow peg race on this issue to. The argument is plain, people do not want government involved in healthcare decisions. Also, I have seen a post or two referring to the "machine" and how these mobs are funded by insurance companies and Republican special interest groups...if you could provide a link or at least some kind of proof to back up these statements, posts like that hold about as much water as the birth certificate issue. Like the Tea Parties, many Americans are angered at being lumped into these groups and they WILL be heard.

It's so sad to hear elected officials refer to their constituents as a "mob". I attend town meetings in my small home town and would be appalled if my town representatives were that insensitive to taxpayer needs and concerns. When will politicians realize that Americans have had enough financial beating down, removal or just plain ignorance of constitutionally guaranteed rights, illegal aliens receiving far better benefits (handouts) than the average American taxpayer, and can be replaced by the VOTE!!! I am happy to see more Americans are finally taking interest in their political and social welfare by refusing to be cowed into accepting a health care bill that would further ravage the middle class for the benefit of those who have:

1. Absolutely no right to be in this country unless proper procedures are followed...I liked North Korea's response to trespassers...12 years hard labor...imagine how many roads and infrastructure repairs could be accomplished if there were that many laborers available at little or no cost...call it penance for a trespassing transgression...at least they'll get three hots and a cot...

2. Paid no income or FICA taxes into the American financial system.

3. Committed any crimes while in the USA under illegal entry status.

I read in local papers that chiefs of police are being reprimanded when attempting to enforce undocumented alien laws. That's just sick...that's already Strike ONE!!! and should be added to any other crime they are being investigated for or charged with. But I see many released on personal recognizance...for God's sake, they're CRIMINALS!!! They're lucky they get due process at all.

AMERICAN RIGHTS FOR AMERICANS!!! All others, do it right, wait your turn, study hard for your citizenship test, pass it, and enjoy the freedoms your new home country offers! I welcome you!

As for those who take the quick way in, I believe the way out should be just as easy. Only a bit more unpleasant.

Notify your elected representatives that they are there to serve you, not tell you what you want or will get. Question them at every opportunity until satisfactory answers and results are provided. This country is on "the tin foil standard, heading for the ball of string", and we as Americans DON'T DESERVE IT! This great country and her allies brought the world back from the brink of totalitarian domination on more than one occasion, and it's a shame to see her veterans dishonored by the current administration and her voters disenfranchised and left out of the political process by representatives who find it too difficult to read and understand the bills, laws and policies being enacted to the detriment of her citizens, but to the benefit of those who are not!!!

I think what we are seeing is not a party specific protest. Sure, we can point to a Democrat or Republican, but I do not think this is driven by a 'conservative' only perspective. People are genuinely upset about not knowing enough about the heath care bill.

I also think people are worried about a push to nationalize everything. Obama came into office and nationalized private banks, car dealerships, executive pay, etc... People are genuinely concerned.

Another issue people are having is that our government has been taken over by criminals (tax evasion, fraud, sex scandals, corporations, etc...). People are waking up to the fact that Democrats, Republicans, and Independents currently in office are corrupt. Its does not mater who you vote for. People lie, steal, and cheat their way into office. No one wants to be responsible.

Add the President's comments about the Cambridge police department, his relationship to corrupt and racially driven individuals, and you have a major mess.

People are mad.
