I liked your idea and put the picture as my avatar, can you tell me why isn't showing up?

As I predicted.....

www.washingtonpost.com...

So why the anonymity? Perhaps because the poster is ultimately a racially charged image. By using the "urban" makeup of the Heath Ledger Joker, instead of the urbane makeup of the Jack Nicholson character, the poster connects Obama to something many of his detractors fear but can't openly discuss. He is black and he is identified with the inner city, a source of political instability in the 1960s and '70s, and a lingering bogeyman in political consciousness despite falling crime rates.

Nobody seemed to care when Vanity Fair did a much better rendition of Bush as the Joker.

Why the outrage when its Obama?

Because this time it's true. We can't have doubts in our glorious leader.

Fail. The Joker was a mastermind, and the Joker was false. Although he played himself as an "anarachist" he actually had set up and planned out everything [totalitarianism] and kills anyone in his way. He will tell you what you want to hear with a smile and turn around to do the opposite. He will tell you what you need to hear so that you will do what he wants you to do. That is the Joker. So IMO, the Joker is a perfect representation of Obama.

Uhm, I'm sorry, but Bush screwed up the ENTIRE PLANET during his presidency. Obama still hasn't accomplished anything. To even attempt comparing the two is ridiculous. Bush brought America from a first world country down to a second world country and he really, really tried for a third world country with that controlled demolition of the economy at the end of his terms. So the real question is: Are you stupid, or just saying these things because you're paid to?

Nobody would be making the comparison if the libruls hadn't cried foul.

Or did they forget, you reap what you sow.

Well as I said before, I don't think it's racist, I just think it's bogus.

Ask any Socialist, Obama is no Socialist (and I think the Fascists among us would disown him too, if they could admit it) he is a pretty standard issue corporatist liberal Democrat.

I think both the hope/change hype and the fascist/socialist/communist hype are both highly exaggerated - especially here on ATS.

He is neither messiah nor antichrist, just another human politician.

So...
* Why wasn't it "racist" when Dubya was depicted as the Joker?
* Why wasn't it "racist" when Dubya was depicted as a chimpanzee?

This is a classic, textbook case of hypocrisy:
"It's just a laugh when we depict politicians we don't agree with as Nazis/Animals/Villains but Heaven help you if you dare do the same to our guy!

How far away are you from 'any' criticism of Obama being considered 'a hate crime'?

Why do people reference Bush? Does no one notice the policies being the same? The backlash against Bush and Obama is WARRANTED. They're both fascists and deserve whatever happens to them.

Really? Hasn't been in office long enough to do anything? I'm tired of this crappy argument. He's managed to spend more money on his watch than Bush did in his entire presidency..But it's only been 6 months, not enough time to do anything right? 9.3 trillion dollars and another two trillion to the budget deficit with more on the way in just 6 months...but he hasn't done anything right?

You need to read more. and I don't mean more FOX, MSNBC, CNBC, or CNN. I'm talking the CBO, the Library of congress site, Open Congress.org...So forth and so on. READ THE DAMNED BILLS before running your mouth about how Obama hasn't done anything. He's done plenty, much of which you haven't heard because the MSM is in his pocket.

Snide remarks are no substitute for real research. So let me ask you, are you stupid? Because only a stupid person would look at all that has happened in 6 months and say it was "Nothing".

Food for thought.

So he spent a few bazillion more Federal Reserve notes? That money is all digital anyway. It gets created as soon as it was needed. The vast majority of our "debt" isn't owed to countries like China. It's owed to private banks. Obama, last time I checked, was planning on nationalizing the banks. It's a good thing if the dollar crashes. We WANT to get rid of the Federal Reserve, because under the current system, because of interest, there is far more debt than there is money at any given time. My point though is that it isn't a tangible asset and I already predicted that the dollar would go away within the next couple of years. I am not worried about that. What's important it to get the economy, which is real and is valuable, back on its feet. And while president Bush is the one who started the bailouts, nationalizing insurance companies, added a 17 trillion dollar drug entitlement program, wire-tapped citizens without warrants, and created secret internment camps in international waters beyond the reach of our justice system, only now that every bill isn't enforced with the threat of terror do you have the courage to stand up to our president. A trillion dollars is nothing when you're dealing with a country. This illegal war we're fighting in the Middle East is far more expensive, yet I don't see you complaining about that. What could president Obama have done that's anywhere near as bad as any of that? Go ahead, enlighten us with your research.

llol the "anonymity" is probably because its a street artist putting them up and he probably puts other stuff up and what street artists do is illegal so of course he wont come out. Especially after putting up these Obama posters, they will probably try to crucify him. I also think its many people printing them out and putting them up, its not one single person or group.

And I have no idea what they mean by him identifying with the "inner city", I grew up in the slums and people from there consider him a rich pretty boy. He isnt one of us.

Thats a rediculous article.
