Hi,

Can I ask who/what your friend is? Because I have fairly close connections with the scientific community, well - I have a few beers with them sometimes! and they say that they just cannot understand where any of this 2012 is coming from. There are no hazzards expected for this era, no events beyond those already studied and documented. No scientific or observed anomolies, nothing.

So I just need help to understand, I see reams and reams of hard evidence that states 2012 is just another year. On the other hand I have other evidence for 2012 changes, but there just people saying "I have a feeling", "my friend says so" , "ive got a hunch"etc etc.

Is there any hard evidence whatsoever?

Im not being rude, because I value everyones opinions and views, I just want to understand how you came to believe?

I think you have been having a few tooo many beers with that statement of no hazards.

While the science facts of 2012 (as well as now and shortly after) are being conjoined with several ancient prophecies (the Mayan being that which "sets" the supposed date), there are indeed hazards in the next few years. There are several references to these factual anomilies in this thread alone, no use for me to say it all over again.

Maybe Google "2012", but put into the request "-Mayan", "-prophecy", "-doom", etc, to exclude the hype part of it. Look for anything coming from science/astronomy sites.

Clues Get Warm in the Search for Planet X

Something out there beyond the farthest reaches of the known solar system seems to be tugging at Uranus and Neptune. Some gravitational force keeps perturbing the two giant planets, causing irregularities in their orbits. The force suggests a presence far away and unseen, a large object that may be the long-sought Planet X.
Evidence assembled in recent years has led several groups of astronomers to renew the search for the 10th planet. They are devoting more time to visual observations with the 200-inch telescope at Mount Palomar in California. They are tracking two Pioneer spacecraft, now approaching the orbit of distant Pluto, to see if variations in their trajectories provide clues to the source of the mysterious force. And they are hoping that a satellite-borne telescope launched last week will detect heat “signatures” from the planet, or whatever it is out there. The Infrared Astronomical Satellite was boosted into a 560-mile-high polar orbit Tuesday night from Vandenberg Air Force Base, CA. It represents an $80-million venture by the United States, Britain and the Netherlands. In the next six or seven months, the telescope is expected to conduct a wide-ranging survey of nearly all the sky, detecting sources not of ordinary light, but of infrared radiation, which is invisible to the human eye and largely absorbed by the atmosphere. Scientists thus hope that the new telescope will chart thousands or infrared-emitting objects that have gone undetected – stars, interstellar clouds, asteroids and, with any luck, the object that pulls at Uranus and Neptune.

John P. Bagby has now introduced a new piece to the puzzle of solar-system cyclic behavior. While searching for possible perturbations of the planets due to a tenth major planet or a dark massive solar companion (MSC), he discovered that the perihelia of the outer planets (orbital points closest to the sun) were being disturbed with an average period of 11.2 years. This is almost exactly the sunspot period of about 11 years ( or half the period of solar magnetic field reversals of about 22 years). He suggests two possibilities:
(1) Mutual resonance effects between the planets
(2) The effects of a massive solar companion.
...If this Dwarf Star is coming .. reports on the net say it will be as close as Mars in June 2012 .. and will be south of the sun .. moving toward north as it finishes its orbit in December 21 2012 .. to then again continue it’s roughly 4970 year orbit around the sun... its gravitational force could reach as far as Jupiter.. and when it is as close as Mars or possibly In 2011 we will see it and know it is there. Would make since it being a star would also align with the galactic center of the galaxy. Our Solar System orbit’s the black hole of our galaxy roughly every 26000 years as well ends in 2012. Type I Supernova are observed in all galaxies. But type II are limited to the very "dense or star-packed regions of the arms of the spiral galaxies, such as our Milky Way. Because type II supernovae are so violently explosive, they present a grave and severe threat to every star system close to them. This motion has brought us into one of the most dangerous supernova-producing regions of our entire galaxy." We are now approaching this area. Walter Cruttenden of the Binary Research Institute is that local gases are fairly uniform and the shape derives from the trajectory of the solar system through local space -- possibly in its orbit around a companion star. This binary companion would cause the sun's orbit to curve, and would explain the Precession of the Equinox by the way in which the Earth's rotation was affected by not one, but two stars. Yes, that’s right, if the data is correct our solar system is curving through space (carrying the earth and spacecraft with it of course) so rapidly that the only way to explain it is if our sun is gravitationally bound to another nearby star. But after netting out the spacecraft and earth orbit motions the remaining signal was far larger than anyone expected. In fact, it is so large it either means there is some unforeseen problem with the gyros or that our sun is part of a binary star system. The biggest problem is life is full of surprises like the Web Bot Project computer oracle program predicts a major event in 2012. As you read this, several planets are experiencing global warming. Saturn, for instance, has changed 30 percent. If this had occurred on the Earth, all life as we know it would be gone.
Seems allot is to unfold in the next few years for mankind...the Spiritual enlightenment to come is to begin at the end of 2011... in the Maya Calendar very good subject...DNA activation .. Anything I have read or watched on 2012 is pure and utter nonsense, and some might call it speculation.

Similar to the MSM and Big Pharma, it's full of if's, may's, should's, and might's.

Nobody knows what the future holds. It is fun guessing and considering, but I still wonder how out of control the Y2K issue would have been with the popularity of the internet in 1999-2000 and 2000-2001.

2012 is an overblown Y2K.

Science isn't giving us anything because there isn't any way they can tell the future yet.

Science has given man allot in the past years and has moved us along into new and better Eras. We as a whole are clumsy and tend to missmanage most of our found knowledge. Man can be defined as a simple being yet there is nothing simple about us.. Thing is all possiblities are endless. We may yet to see a new found enligntenment in the years to come. The future for mankind may reach the point to where we may accomplish all that we can imagine. Yet the simple reality of man is life is what you make it. Promblem is there are many ways life can be quickly snuffed out. I hope we use our tech to improve life and enhance it. Not only to control life as we know it. Power is a dangerous thing. Coruption is always behind closed doors and many look out for there personal well being. Until man makes the leap to look out for mankind life will come to an ebrupt end. Eventually we all die in some way.

There are many ways the earth can come to an end.. And for one I don't know what that will be.. I personally don't think the world will come to and end in 2012. At least not completly for we are here still.. If a comet was to smash into the earth we maybe gone yet life would eventally return to the world in some form. We say the dinosaurs are now extinct yet we still see the kin in some animals. So the are only extinct in certain forms.. Yet with our tech we can now mostlikely recreate some of them not saying we should. We can even enhance DNA in man if we so wanted. We have done this in animals yet we have a moral standing when it comes to openly mess with our on DNA... yet we have know problem vaccinating ourself injecting foriegn crap into our bloodstreams. Nanos may one day remove all kinds of illness from mans past even may prolong life to far reaching extent that we could just about live forever if we so lucky to do so.. Yet there will always be more obsticales for us to overcome. We probably have to ability to do most of that now yet the ones with the power of that ability will mostlikey keep a short leash. Yet man will evolve we must if we so want to clinge to the life we have.

Saying its come from 'a friend' does not make you look any less insane. Just be done with it and claim you're an alien sent here on a special mission to enlighten us all!

Either way, at least this is a positive message instead of the usual cryptic doom & gloom crap.

NASA warned about a huge solar storm already back in 2006? to occur in 2012?

Wow, I really don’t know what to say about your post. It is like nothing I have ever read about 2012 before.

As an avid Amatuer radio operator (Ham) I've studied Solar Phenomena for nearly 15 years. There have always been coronal mass ejections (CMEs), but the reason this Solar Max may be different is because of the instability and weakening of Earth's magnetic field. A lesser event might be as catastrophic as a much larger event because of the Earth's orientation toward the Sun at that time, and exactly what our magnetic fields are doing at the time of the CME. Art Bell called this a "kill shot" during the time of last Solar Max, during the late 90s. It's all syncronicity. I am a skeptic in the sense that I have no clue what will happen or why. It surely appears that mankind has honed in on the possibility that something is imminent. Is this a function of the Collective Unconscious? Who knows. I prefer to allow reality to unfold on its' own schedule, and just keep watching and evaluating. We all have different states of Consciousness and different degrees of understanding. Seems loike I remember a Chinese curse of being born in interesting times. Rick
