What I personally find amazing here at ATS is how even though a lot of the UFO reported seem to zig zag, zip around or teleport, streak and reverse course. things that no ISS, satellite or chinese lantern can do. they will still say that it's nothing more than that. or maybe venus or sirius. maybe you mistook the moon for a fast moving highly agile teleporting UFO.

"Look I know what you saw, but I'm telling you it's just the ISS." is their common attitude.
But maybe they DO know what you saw and are still telling you it's nothing more than the boring ISS carry on. nothing to see here.

This is the very thing the post is trying to eradicate!

Thanks

A simple question too much for ATS?

With respect

Point being you are incapable of conversation and dialogue while resorting to sentence stoppers and dead ends. The OP needed response, you are acting like the killer of the thread in itself which is a bit topsy turvy don't you think?

Will you also admit that some sightings are the real ufo orbs? You know...... Star of Bethlehem, Foo Fighters, Nuremburg ufos, critters?

Like responding to this in this thread..?

I am defending the UFO! Why can't You get it..?

There are things in the sky that happen like Lanterns, they happen too often and get in the way of "true UFO discusion"

I have seen umpteen (theres a word for you!) satellites over the years.
Even they vary by the naked eye and take some classifying :
e.g. most if not all are very high up as they are in orbit. They have similar appearance in their size. some move faster than others, and some pulse on and off.

by telescope things may be different.

one quick comment on your thread is all I have time for.
I saw something that was much, much lower than the usual satellites.

The way I understand orbits is this - obviously the further from the earths core an object gets, the less gravity exerted on it.
Some are at a constant with a fixed point on earth and 'move with it'. tellecomms satellites in the clark belt for example. -and prob the speed of travel is a factor.
The closer the orbit - the bigger an object may appear relatively speaking, yet the greater pull on it.

Thats it, thats as simple as I can undertand the physics of orbitting bodies.

If I had a measurement device - like radar, to tell me the distance an object is away from me, I would be able to put the few sightings of spheres away in the correct 'file'.

As it stands, what I saw recently and put in thread - www.abovetopsecret.com... : Light travelling East over UK now - was starting to be understood by my poor brains. I saw a pattern emerge and it was interesting. I saw that it was likely to be the ISS, and yet after all that, someone on the other side of the UK saw an object that didn't corroborate with what I saw.

I can tell you this though - I didn't see a lantern!

Where and when do Mufon step in and help us all by joining dots?
Someone out there must be collating radar logs of Ufos.
This kind of data can answer some questions, but we seem to go round and round in circles - i.e. is there ET life? wheres the proof.

But to think we are the only beings on our level of existence would be daft I think.
Whether they can get here in the blink of an eye in tech years ahead of us is the question.

I geuss the only way to truly verify a UFO sighting is to get up close and personal, Pictures and Videos don't seem to do it justice.

No.
I think plenty of UFOs not ISS and Chinese Lanterns are viewed.
Only Chinese Lanterns are put in the headlines.
I never heard of the ISS put in the propaganda sheets but perhaps sometimes.
Are these reporter.
No.
Look at all the videos, I do not think they were reported.
Then all the non videos not reported.
One poster had hundreds of photos and only reported one.
No.No.
There are plenty of non Chinese Lanterns or ISS UFOs.

You are quite right in saying that mundane things like the Chinese Lanterns are zoned in,(my words)and mostly by the sensationalist press. But you have to bear in mind, and so should the OP that things like the lanterns are so easily videoed and the videos are now commonplace, plus those partygoers who know damn rightly what they are, and make a video of the lanterns themselves whilst pretending it's a strange light in the sky.
It's not just lanterns, the Red Arrows have made headlines as transluscient balls in the sky in formation and Russian space launches have been interpreted as Mothership and scout following each other,Green LEDs being unknown spacecraft.
All those things caused a bit of sensation in the press, and all were posted at ATS, and perhaps other forums, but all were sorted here in a short enough space of time as "mundane" events once some heads got it together. It's not about debunking, but about eliminating.

i can see how iss can be mistaken for a ufo and does LOADS, as it looks alot lower than it is when it flys past, most time it looks as low as an airplane and moves as fast.

chineese lanterns i cant comment on as ive never seen one(or i dont think i have)

i seen something a few weeks back that looked like it could have been a hot air baloon/lantern , but i dont think thats the case as it was flying near the opposite direction to the wind , and im fairly sure anything with no power of its own goes with the wind, and not against it.

At different heights, the wind can have quite different velocities & directions.

If you look at an appropriate weather site, you should to be able to find a table illustrating that. The difference can be more than you might expect.

Please be fair to all the folk who've seen the real ufo orbs. Yes the party lanterns and the space station account for some sightings and they are just that. But once you have seen the real ufo orbs, not just those amber/orange type but the white, the red, the green the blue the mettalic, the angle grinder type that morphs into a Jesus/Angel light and then see the mothership and get crop sprayed by a substance like cotton wool/candy floss that is sooooo similar to that called Manna in the Bible, then you really do understand that there is something very much out of this world in our sky.

Quoted for Truth

When you have seen, you cannot unsee.

Once you have seen, you have no choice but to believe.
