Hey Armap,

A strange thing about the Soviet system was how it treated the idea of Extra-terrestrial life.... For life to only occur on the Earth would be a 'Miracle', and the Soviet system does not allow for miracles; therefore life was presumed to exist elsewhere.

I think its the Tree of Life.

You know there was 2 tree's in the Garden and when we ate from the first one God Exiled us from there.

He didn't want us to eat from the second tree yet.

So it makes sense that Mars could have been Eden.

Because the Tree is not here on earth or we would have found it.

Remember in 2012 the black stone monolith was a representation of the first tree, the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.

These are hints to our collective unconscious that we will find the tree of LIFE on Mars.

For the record, I only looked at the OP. Not the replies. So if theres something I missed its not my fault. I like to give my raw opinion about the OP.

The shape of the monolith.




Either a preternatural or megalithic structure?

Buzz Aldrin says people are going to wonder who put it there. Seems unusual since phobos doesnt have any volcanoes. It couldnt be a meteor rock because theres no sign of a crater around it. And I really dont think its plate tectonics, obviously. The moon is abnormal from any other moon in the solar system when it comes to shape so it wouldnt be surprising for a structure like that to be naturally created. It might have something to do with the moons gravity that causes that.

I am one of those UFO people and its possible that the structure could have been put there, what it truly is I dont know.

It would help if I knew the size of it. I cant find anything about the monolith on phobos and its size. If the monolith is big then I would find it interesting with questions. If the monolith is small then its probably nothing. I think it looks pretty big from observing the pictures. Judging the size of craters and the details on the ground it looks huge. Better resolution could help.

I cant decide but I think if it had a little more of a solid shape then it would be suspicious. The closest shape to it would be a egg/oval or pyramid.

Not to go O/T here but have you ever looked into a book called The Lost Book of Enki? Its by Zacharia Stichin. I can't speculate on how accurate it is but I put belief in some of the concepts he suggests. Essentially Eden was the landing site and base of some very ancient ET's that needed gold to repair their atmosphere, as it was in a similar yet more damaged state then our ozone layer (something to that effect). So they landed and started mining. The process was slow and hard and instead of doing the work themselves they decided to force evolution of our humanoid ancestors by splicing their dna into ours, which is where you get all the hubub about humans living for many hundreds of years in the bible (because the ET's live a great deal longer than we do). The concept though was difficult however because the ET's were using their own women to bring the hybrids to term by invitro fertilization techniques. So they allowed the species to breed amongst themselves and that is where the concept of losing their innocence also resonates in the bible and shortly their after they were forced from the base camp of E.DEN due to some cataclysmic events took shape, allegedly anticipated because the magnetic field of Niburu (their home planet) was too close to Earth and so massive climactic changes began to occur. They kept coming back every 3 thousand-ish years with renewed interest, some stayed, and mostly the theory goes that most of this story being of sumerian origin and in cuniform tablets was adapted and modified throughout the ages to fit the concept of a god and/or gods coming to earth and especially as the roman catholic church arrived on the scene. They censored lots and manipulated what was left of the original story to make it almost altogether something else.

Anyways as for this monolith thing...it sounds very Arthur C.Clarke-ish....2001 Space Odessy immediately popped into my head when I read the Headline. I am sure that Buzz has been sitting on info that has probably been classified for ages, I tend to agree with those that have said he probably just started slipping....said things he shouldn't have said and tried to dance around it by being kind of vague about who or what created/put it there.He is getting old and he probably holds close to his heart the concept of exploring space more than most and especially given the nature of our economy and path which has more or less strayed from exploring all that which is outside of our "sphere of influence"...

Yeah I think the words used in some of the stories we know of from our cradle ages tie us down. When the words tree of life are uttered I think a lot of people think it has to be something physical and external. As if the concepts of analogy and metaphor weren't heavy in play or something back then. I mean consider folks that when we talk about god's tools for humanity that we are talking about scribes and disciples and such that have never seen a lighter, never been witness to a airplane flying across the sky, or had the pleasure of viewing how a computer works. I am positive that the way even the most articulate of wordsmiths in those days would be at a loss as to how to define such things and so there would be a great divide between what we know to be how to describe such things and how they would attempt to. Dont let the mire of words skew the meaning of the information folks!

Yes and what if the thread is 10 pages long going off subject on the tree of life? Lots people tend to have a problem with me doing this on ATS. Now if I would of never mentioned it you would have never quoted me acting as if it were a crime. Or if I would of just said "I'm giving my reply to the OP" then you still might of not quoted with a reply.

I also did not interpret that everyone else shouldnt look at the thread. IF everyone did this I agree it would be a problem but did I say everyone should do this did I? No.

A friend asked me to look at the monolith and give my opinion on it. I dont see how it would be my fault either because if I was giving my reply to the OP then why would the thread even matter. I look at the thread afterwords and then see if I would like to reply to anything.

Oh and I did look in the thread trying to find if anyone had found a size for the monolith. Unfortunately nothing.

Wow! They found a rock protruding from the surface of a planets moon. Imagine the possibility of a moon made of rock having something made of rock actually protruding from it.
