No words can describe what you are going through right now. Look at it this way, he's in a better place now. Away from all of the pain and suffering here on Earth. You and your family will be in my prayers tonight.

My deepest condolences in this time of sorrow S-Dog....

I just can't convey to you guys how much your words mean to me at this time ...
They made me cry, which I needed to do, because I couldn't cry ...
He is resting in Paris, my (half) sister is going to be there tomorrow, and I will fly there early next week ...
Until then I don't know what to do with myself ...
I feel rather useless and helpless at such a distance ...
I actually logged back on to ask a staff member to delete my previous post ...
I feel terrible that I brought this sadness here ...
It feels selfish ...
But it has made a real difference to read your posts ...
And for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart ...
I'll probably be here till I travel ...
I am at home with mrs. sdog and nikita ...
But ATS is also my home and you are also my family ...
And I thank you!

It's not selfish, it's a reminder that we live mostly for ourselves but that we need other people, even if it's only to know that they exist.

And sadness is part of reality, few places are free from some kind of sadness.

Im glad you did because we tend to forget that the people here really do mean something to us. I suddenly realized that it means something to me when your dad dies. Thats amazing. That means that all this time spent on ATS is not "only virtual".

Sdog I wish I had better words to offer you than those that will end up being typed here. My Dad passed in '96 and I know I felt like Superman - maybe even my own idea of God, had left me. That familiar face that belonged only in memories, from that point forward, was immediately missed so much.

The only thing I can think to say is that, now, you are his legacy. You are his reflection. In your heart, mind, and actions, your father lives on.
