Something you should learn about, before posting fear-mongering threads:

www.coolquiz.com...

Astronomers are still learning about sunspots and about their affect on us, but believe that the spots on the sun, which were first observed through a telescope by Galileo in 1610, are electrical in nature. They base this belief upon the known effects that sunspots produce, and upon one astronomer's uncontested showing that sunspots are whirlwinds of electrified matter that burst out in pairs from the sun's interior.

Sunspots vary in size from what appear to be small specks on the sun's surface, to at least 90,000 miles long, and 200,000 miles in length, and are visible on most clear days.

When sunspots release their electrical energy, they shoot beams of negatively charged electrons into space, some of which escape into the earth's atmosphere. These electrons create electrical effects, such as the aurora borealis, or Northern Lights, cause the disruption of radio transmissions, and increase the amount of ozone in the upper atmosphere. The additional ozone may absorb more than the usual amount of the sun's heat, which in turn may effect our weather.

NOW...read this next paragraph very carefully!

The sunspot cycle, is a recurring 11-year period over which the number of sunspots fluctuates and corresponds to the number of sun flares. An increase in the number of sun flares leads to an increase in the number of sunspots, and a decrease in the number of sun flares leads to a decrease in the number of sunspots.

Records of sunspots have only been kept for the last 100 years or so, leaving astronomers with little to back their research and much yet to discover about this phenomenon.

The geomagnetic storm probabilities are the estimated chances of at least one 3-hour K index, at the indicated level, for each of the next 3 days.

Active: K = 4.

Minor storm: K = 5.

Major or Severe storm: K > 6.

The "K index" is a 3-hourly quasi-logarithmic local index of geomagnetic activity relative to an assumed quiet-day curve for the recording site. Range is from 0 to 9. The K index measures the deviation of the most disturbed horizontal component of the magnetic field.

The original "prediction" was about a SOLAR FLARE, not a Sun spot. So now the fear mongers are going around trying to lie and say the prediction was correct.

I'm sorry, but I didn't see much fear mongering, nobody predicted the Earth to blow up or something.

Don't you think it's at least interesting that a sunspot that can cause solar flares, appeared in the same time frame?

Or is that just a coincidence?

What is funny - is when people post about current information from an out side source of REAL happenings - others call it fear mongering.

Question how is it fear mongering - by relaying information?

Does that mean everyone who post an article about current events or breaking news - is that fear mongering - just because some don't want to hear about it?

I have simply posted something that is happening right now - and no one has said "something is going to happen from this" at all.

In fact there has been NO fear in this information. I find it quite interesting - and it happens to correspond with threads and information over the last week that has been posted about.

That is it - NO fear in any of the postings here - all just Information.

Cheers!

I hate to say this but this whole crop circle thing about a solar storm hitting us on July 7th is nothing but a marketing hoax I believe centered around the release of the dvd "Knowing" today on July 7th with Nicholas Cage which is a dumb movie about a solar storm destroying the earth.

The Gympie Times is a daily newspaper serving Gympie in Queensland, Australia. The newspaper is owned by APN News & Media and is published from Monday to Saturday. The Gympie Times is circulated north to Tiaro, west to Kilkivan and south to Noosa. The circulation of The Gympie Times is 5,644 Monday to Friday and 8,630 on Saturday.[1] The Gympie Times website is part of the APN Regional News Network.
Wiki Source

After one of the longest sunspot droughts in modern times, solar activity picked up quickly over the weekend. A new group of sunspots developed, and while not dramatic by historic standards, the spots were the most significant in many months.
Source: Space.com

My understanding is that the crop circle that made the prediction for an event on July 7th specifically called for a series of 5 coronal mass ejections to hit the Earth. It is safe to say, in my opinion, that this is not going to happen. If it does, it won't happen today (or tomorrow depending on where you are) because the effects would take one or two days to reach Earth.

Please note that these appeared over the weekend, NOT today. Also, the Gympie news is the only one I can find that is making claims on the supposed intensity of the sunspots and corresponding flares, while space.com has a much more dull explanation.

That said, I believe it is a stretch saying that the crop circles were definitely a message from ET's while pointing at the new sunspots. I want to believe, too, I really do. Check the threads I've posted on before, as well as the content of my posts. I wanted the crop circles to be a message, but it seems that as more time passes, the farther we move away from that reality. Truth is surely stubborn, and often inconvenient.

As the poster to whom I replied said, I think there's more logic in connecting that crop circle to the DVD Knowing's release than there is to the (lack of) CME's or the sunspots which appeared two days ago.

Edit: I would also recommend entertaining the idea that the crop circle was mildly to grossly misinterpreted.

questioningall,

I believe you have me on "ignore" ever since RF and i trashed you on the whole webbot prediction thingy last year but i am gonna say what needs to be said......

You LIKE pending doom and love to write about it!!!

Credit should be given were credit is due and i must say that each and every thread you started (with the exception of this perhaps because of a lack of time to prepare) is a work of art. You take great pride in presenting your stories and put much work into them. One would get the impression that you must never sleep and are online 24/7....

But that doesn't change the fact that each and every one of the threads you created are based on fear not fact.......

and you love it, don't you??

I'll leave you to you busy work and refraim from commenting to your threads.

Peace

spaceweather.com...

How does one even get information from the Gympie times anyway.
Im thinking they are way off.

On March 29, 2001, active region 9393 became the biggest sunspot since 1991. The behemoth spot registered 2400 millionths, or 14 times larger than Earth. Watch AR9393 evolve in this SOHO white light solar movie spanning March 24th - April 2nd

Now their numbers just dont correspond with real life, if the 2001 spot was only 14 times larger than earth it should be dwarved in the pictures by todays. But it isnt.

Well....since YOU posted the 'doom and gloom' aspect of it, when really all anyone need do is research and LEARN, rather than shake in their boots because of some anonymous online poster who has a habit of mis-using "data"...

en.wikipedia.org...
...

On 13 March 1989 a severe geomagnetic storm caused the collapse of the Hydro-Québec power grid in a matter of seconds as equipment protection relays tripped in a cascading sequence of events. Six million people were left without power for nine hours, with significant economic loss. The storm even caused auroras as far south as Texas. The geomagnetic storm causing this event was itself the result of a Coronal Mass Ejection, ejected from the Sun on March 9, 1989.

In August 1989, another storm affected microchips, leading to a halt of all trading on Toronto's stock market.

As far as I can tell, this happened 20 years ago...(feeling my chest)...yup! Still here!

Since 1989, power companies in North America, the UK, Northern Europe and elsewhere evaluated the risks of geomagnetically induced currents (GIC) and developed mitigation strategies.

Since 1995, geomagnetic storms and solar flares have been monitored from the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) joint-NASA-European Space Agency satellite.

Hmmmm....was something left out of the "Chicken Little" scenario??

On Feb. 26, 2008 the magnetic fields erupted inside the magnetotail, releasing about 1015 Joules of energy. The blast launched two gigantic clouds of protons and electrons, one toward Earth and one away from Earth. The Earth-directed cloud crashed into the planet below, sparking vivid auroras in Canada and Alaska.

SO...."vivid auroras". Those unlucky, poor poor people, having to contend with a beautiful display in the skies!!

EDIT:

Here's a thread to show an example of a little hyperbole ---

They are just afraid of the things you write about, and afraid of thinking outside the box.

So they project the stigma "fear mongerer" onto you.

I noticed that too! I pointed it out to my brother and he thought it looked nice. The moon was also nice and bright, still is, I believe during the moon rise there was some sort of eclipse too if I remember rightly.

All this matters because, as laid out in a report earlier this year by the National Academy of Sciences, a major solar storm nowadays could cause up to $2 trillion in initial damages by crippling communications on Earth and fueling chaos among residents and even governments in a scenario that would require four to 10 years for recovery.

Such a storm struck in 1859, knocking out telegraph communications and causing those lines to erupt in flames. The world then was not so dependent on electronic communication systems, however.

Regardless of the 'whats' and 'ifs' I am happy to have viewed my first sunspot through my telescope today, during some very rare 'cloud' break. Have been waiting to see one for a couple of weeks since getting my filter and missed the quad one the other day.

What I find the funniest is that many people on this site believe in:

- the NWO;
- secret societies that have been controlling the entire world for hundreds of years never to be unveiled;
- that holograms ran into the Trade Towers;
- that Obama is the anti-christ;
- Reptillians walk among us;
- aliens are very sexual and continually take humans to a mother ship for examination;
- that people channel ghosts/demons/aliens/dead people;
- the elite have puppets running amok in D.C.;
- Mass extermination is being planned as we speak
- there are entire bases built on the moon
- etc. etc. etc. BUT....

to say that crop circles are made by aliens is crazy??? Possibly not true...but far from crazy.

The bottom line is that a crop circle predicted a sunspot/solar flare on July 7, 2009 and that not one person on Earth can predict or know that ahead of time. The fact that the sunspot was seen, and a POSSIBLE c-class flare may happen, is personally enough for me. I do not care who/what is sending these messages -- I believe they are important.

I think before people start stating things as facts, and calling people crazy for considering alternative methods of communication, they should start looking at all the crazy, but possibly nonetheless TRUE, ideas that they believe.

Been reading all three of your threads .

I do not detect you are trying to put fear into anyone here.

If anything can be said what you are doing is sharing important information for all of us to digest and consider the possibilities.

If the Crop Circles being spoken of have been created to give us a message related to July 7th or even the 8th.

How do we really decode the complete message ?

I have no idea what will happen if anything .

In the past the Solar Storms sometimes take a few days to reach Earth.

Any current images from the Sun that show increased activity leading to some major event?

Is Nasa and other Space Agenices recording activity and if so what is the best sites to see this?

After two years of no sunspot activity, the Sun has suddenly burst into life with a massive sunspot..

The effect usually takes two days to reach earth...

Will the global warming, and climate change gurus start wetting themselves in anticipation of earth warming up again?

SUDDEN SUPER SUNSPOT:

cornerstoneisalwaysfirst.blogspot.com... 07/sudden-super-sunspot-so-intense-say.html

Sunspot 1024 is crackling with B- and C-class solar flares. The activity is so intense, astronomers can't seem to take a picture of the sunspot without catching a flare in action. Pete Lawrence sends this example from his backyard observatory in Selsey, UK:
